The Scorpions are one the greatest bands ever. They've been around for over 50 years. the came out with a new album last year and Klaus is 74 years old and can still sing like he's in his 30's.
what so cool, is the line " Love, only Love, can bring down the wall one day" meaning the Berlin Wall, and about 8 years later, the wall did get torn down, so cool
Have you heard their album "Moment of Glory" with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra? It's absolutely beautiful, especially Send me an angel. Check it out if you haven't. 😊
Cool seeing a younger person discover this timeless song. This was my older brothers favorite band and it gets to me sometimes. I always think of him when I hear them. Miss you bro
The Scorpions is more than 50 years so far. Love your lovely reacttion for this classic song. Many old songs are so so so nice. Expect more your reaction of classic old songs my dear.
Scorpions are one of the greatest band ever and one of my favorites. They're amazing live, STILL! They remain one of the greatest live bands in hard rock/ metal. And, this is one of the greatest power ballads ever written.
The 80's was such an awesome time to grow up through. The music was amazing. Things were fun. People were better to each other. Just saw these guys last year in Vegas for their residency at Planet Hollywood with Skid Row opening. They still put on a phenomenal show. And Skid Row with their new singer is outstanding.
My first reaction when I see young people discover and go nuts about Scorpions is always: "Come on, have you been living under a rock?!?" Then I remember I'm 42 years old LOL. Definitely binge on their music. These guys have made history. Wind of change, send me an angel, coast to coast etc... there's a ton of amazing songs to love and appreciate
I'm 43 years old and the last concert I saw was my favorite artist, Sammy Hagar and the waboritas, followed by the Scorpions. It would have been better if the Scorpions were first as their stage act was boring compared to Sammy, and I love the Scorpions. I was born into this stuff and grew up on all of it. Living under a rock are my exact thoughts, but then again rock and later classic rock is what I was raised on......stevie nicks, VH, ozzy, CCWR, john cougar mellancamp, phil collins, and a ton of others. So many people missed out on a couple great generations of rock/pop music.
Their most iconic song is “winds of change” the unofficial reunification song when the Berlin Wall fell. The first song I heard from them was “rock me like a hurricane” it’s still my favorite.
@@BeOtterMyFriend yea I had no clue they were German. for me German acts were Falco singing "Rock me Amadeus" or Nena singing "99 luftballons" but I am probably much older than you.
Oh wow, the whole drawn out ending, the official version, was cut off. You have to listen to it. It absolutely will give you chills. I saw them live in 1984 right after 'Love at First Sting' came out. They absolutely killed it and Still Loving You was one of the highlights.
Music is truly a worldwide language. Nothing will ever feel the same again, as when dancing with your sweetheart to this way back in school, in the cafeteria with smoke machines and lasers.
This short version of the song, despite it was pure playback , as common in these kinds of tv-show, it is still pretty. The longer version is around 6min, also available in YT.
Ah, my favorite old school power ballad. I heard a story about the Scorpions from a local DJ about a month ago. He said that the songs of the Scorpions were often written to impress their groupies. "'No one like You', I wrote that song about you, babe! You're my one and only!" Then in the next town they'd say that to the next girl. And the next girl. And the next. The Scorpions formed in the late 1960's, but hit their peak in the 80's. They even released a new album last year, though I've not heard it much.
As a guitarist I’ll give you my thoughts. You’re looking at 2 of the FINEST guitarists to ever grace this planet. The SCORPIONS always killed it. I feel they are kinda like RUSH, Only musicians really know just how damn good they are.
LOVE this girls reaction! It's so funny seeing the younger generation hear the songs we grew up with for the first time. I must have been 14 when this song came out. That's definitely the studio recording you're hearing in this video so I'm guessing they were faking it for this German TV show (which they used to do back in those days).
You are very correct about the guitarist Matthias Jabs. He was exceptionally popular with the ladies. The whole band had a real Charisma to them and they still do even the advanced age there at these days Believe It or Not scorpions still play out and draw huge crowds mostly in Europe, but it just shows the talent and lasts a long long time if treated correctly
This song came out in 1984. I saw them in concert exactly 39 years ago today and this was a song they played from their new album "Love At First Sting". Incredible singer and guitarist.
This song is one of my all-time favorite rock songs; whether ballad or no ballad. A splendid display of perhaps one of the greatest rock vocalists of all time; yes even right up there close to Freddy Mercury. I saw them recently in concert and even in their 70s they still sound frickin amazing! Klaus Meine’s voice is still lazer-like and Rudolf Schenker (the band’s founder)was still jumping around like he was 17. Oh, and your reaction to the band was adorable!! Lol

I love this reaction, and I love their outfits and butts, too.😅 I can't believe that they spoke very little English (when this was recorded). I love this song❤❤❤
Certainly one of the most beautiful songs ever, even today. It's extremely difficult to sing like that without sounding cheesy, and the rhythm can also quickly sound kind of lame if you don't know what you're doing. They all play it brilliantly.
Your reaction to this epic rock ballad popped up on my feed, had to watch. It’s so cool to watch someone listen to music from my high school days! The Scorpions are one of my top five bands, just hammered out bangers for years…keep going down their library, hope to see another reaction & maybe some classic rock too?

I got this album while on a school trip to France in 84. I was crazy in love with this gorgeous redhead girl in my school year at the time, but she was way out of my league. So this song totally summed up all my feelings. Man was I ever lovesick. Then in '88 I saw Scorpions at Hammersmith Odeon and they were enthralling! Scorpions are the longest-running German rock band ever... they are known for their heavy rockers and also for these kinds of ballads that bring in the girls and women. The band was formed in (West) Germany in Hanover by Rudolf Schenker (guitar) in 1965 as a "beat rock combo" (like The Beatles) ... Rudolf was the lead singer, until he met another local singer Klaus Meine, and the 2 became close friends... Klaus was in another band Mushrooms, and when they needed a guitarist, Rudolf recommended them his 14 year old kid brother Michael Schenker on guitar. After Mushrooms broke up, Rudolf asked Klaus Meine (vocals) and Michael Schenker (lead guitar) to join the Scorpions around 1970. The band decided to write English songs hoping for more appeal to audiences in Europe and beyond. The band came 2nd in a competition for a recording contract, but moved to 1st after the winning band broke up... They had written a psychedelic space rock album 'Lonesome crow' that became their debut album in 1972... Michael Schenker left the Scorpions around 1973 to join UK rockers U.F.O. and became a guitar hero in the 70's and in the 80's w/ Michael Schenker Group (M.S.G.) Scorpions had broken up, but Klaus (vocals) and Rudolf Schenker (guitar) decided to join forces w/ lead guitarist Ulrich Roth (now Uli Jon Roth) and Francis Buccholz (bass) in 1974 to reform the Scorpions and released their 2nd album 'Fly to the rainbow'... The band released a string of albums in the 70's and progressed into a hard rock band... By 1977, Herman Rarebell (drums) joined and the Scorpions scored a gold album in Japan ('Taken by force') by 1978 and got a taste of fame and hysteria for the first time when they toured Japan in 1978 and recorded a live album there ('Tokyo Tapes')... Unfortunately, Roth decided to leave the band that year. Michael Schenker split w/ U.F.O. and briefly rejoined the Scorpions, but left again in 1979... Matthias Jabs (lead guitar) who had played shows w/ the band joined afterwards. By 1979, Scorpions had new management, a new record label and scored a gold album in the US as they played America for the first time and were ready for the arenas... Their 1980 album 'Animal magnetism' went platinum... Klaus Meine got a diagnosis of vocal polyps and needed surgery and recovery time in 1981, and the band opted not to replace him. After a year, Klaus got his voice back and the band returned w/ a vengeance in 1982 w/ the 'Blackout' album... Their 1984 album 'Love at first sting' became a huge hit, selling 3x platinum in the US. Scorpions released another live 'World wide live' in 1985. Scorpions released the album 'Savage amusement' in 1988 and became one of the first hard rock bands to play the USSR that year... the experience inspired the 1990 ballad 'Wind of change' from the 'Crazy world' album that became a massive hit worldwide by 1991... Unfortunately, the 90's grunge era caused the Scorpions popularity to decline in 1993 and Francis Buccholz (bass) and Herman Rarebell (drums) both left the band by 1995. Refusing to break up, Scorpions persisted w/ new music and tours w/ Ralph Rieckermann (bass) and James Kottak (drums) joining... in 2003, Pawel Maciwoda (bass) joined and the Scorpions started becoming popular again w/ the internet helping to promote their music. The band wanted to end their run in 2010, but their popularity worldwide was still climbing again, so the band decided to carry on past 2014... Mikkey Dee (drums) replaced Kottak in 2016. The band recently released the album 'Rock believer' w/ both Klaus and Rudolf in their 70's!

Hi Rachel. i was lucky enough to catch this band live in 1974 when they were in there prime, one has to say they were amazing, i still listen to them to this day. Good show lass i like your style.
I heard this song in the 80s when I was in high school. More recently I was in a gas station buying a drink and a sandwich and they started playing this song. I stayed in the store long enough to hear most of the song before I finally left. I couldn't get over how damn good it sounded while when I was in high school, I sort of took it for granted.
Cellphone lights are no replacement for actual fire at a concert. There was something special about the atmosphere it all created.

The drummer James Kottak passed away earlier this year. He was married to Tommy Lee's sister for many years. RIP James. 🙏
You opened a Pandora's box homegirl! The Scorpions is one of the best Band's in Rock/Heavy Metal🎸🎶history! It's the type of Band that can change your life!✌👍
Hi Rachel. i was lucky enough to catch this band live in 1974 when they were in there prime, one has to say they were amazing, i still listen to them to this day. Good show lass i like your style.
These are the Scorpions!!!! Awesome sound
In high school in the 80's, as a heavy metal kid, when you parked with your girl, you either put in scorpions or journey. Good ole days.
Hi, another great ballad by scorpions is "born to touch your feelings" 😁👍😉
Klaus , Brian Johnson , Bruce Dickinson , Ozzy Osbourne , Ian Gillan , Lemmy Kilminster All Are Outstanding Singers & All Have Unique Voices .
They're having as good of a time as the audience is, very cool.
Klaus Meine's voice is AMAZING!!! :) so iconic.
