As happy as it makes me that you did finally mentioned the 156 (absolutely stonking car), i feel i would be remiss if i didn't bring light to the fact that at no point was the GTV mentioned in either its 4 cylinder twin cam OR V6 form. Now its true, the pedal setup was a bit shit on the GTV, if we're being honest... but it was a beautiful car to look at and it handled masterfully (so long as the bushes weren't shagged, which seemed to automatically happen exactly 10 mins after installing a new set). But apart from that, a beautiful machine 👌

On whatever car I own as a daily driver I don’t own it out of warranty because I just can’t handle the anxiety lol. I am planning on purchasing an extended warranty because of that so hopefully I get to keep it for quite a while. I’m actually going to be renting a QV on Turo soon. I’ll get to experience the fun without paying almost twice the price. How’s your Alfa experience been?

The Alfa Romeo symbol: The Red Milanese Cross was worn by soldiers in battle, dates back to the crusades. The Biscione (large snake) is an important symbol in Milan's history and was adopted by the House of Visconti (Milan's ruling family for nearly 200 years). The Man emerging from the serpent's mouth represents being reborn. The Crown represents Alfa Romeo's world racing champion status. Lastly, in the earlier original logos, the knots on the outside of the symbol was a tribute to the House of Savoy (one of Italy's oldest royal families).

Finally, Alfa Romeo. The Busso engine is one of the best ever made. I love my 1997 155 with that engine, and will never sell it. If you have never owned an Alfa, you are missing out. Also, I dunno how Donut came down on the 156 so hard, it actually is fairly reliable...as long as you got the manual and the Busso V6.
So many great Alfas were missed in this segment though, sad the most beautiful car ever made, the 159/Brera, wasnt even mentioned. GTV6? Nope. 147 GTA hot hatch? Nope. 916 GTV Cup? Nope.

On my second GT, first one was a diesel which was great, and pulled like a choo choo, current one is a 2.0jts which is an absolute riot and sounds fantastic, a little more high maintainance than the jtd but hell, a full blooded itailan that takes all my money and leaves me with a massive smile on my face after ive exited her? yes please! My daily is a 156 sportwagon jtdm and is honestly brilliant. Handles like a dream and goes like stink.Oh and just for the record, I have also had a BMW. I gave it away.Shitbox.

I've owned my Alfa Giulietta 170 petrol turbo for 2 years and the Multi air unit went costing £1,400. But it's worth it. The noise she makes, how she looks. She always turns heads when the throttle is opened in dynamic and the dump valve kicks in when dropping the clutch, it's only something you could understand if you owned one, it's a love... She's gorgeous but costs alot to maintain! Best make in the world!

11:15 "the best selling spider was the series 2 Veloce" *pictured a series 4 with entirely different cam tail than the series 2. A few other minor inaccuracies with year models on the cat the Series 3 and 4 were powered by Bosch fuel injection not SPICA though the engines were essentially the same. The original name of the spider was Duetto but had to be renamed due to copyright issues (owners of the Series 1 still refer to them as the Duetto). A couple of other things not mentioned the body was designed and produced by Pininfarina (yeah the the same ones who made most the classic Ferrari bodies you know of) also the series 3 Quadrifoglio Verde was mechanically identical to the Graduate and the Veloce trims, the only difference was a body kit and bigger rims.

The correct spelling is "kamm" as in Wunibald Kamm, an automotive engineer at Die Universitaet Stuttgart.
BTW, the "Duetto" nomenclature was reserved strictly for cars with the 1600 engine (built for only 12 months in '66 and '67). Cars with the smaller capacity engine were designated "1300 Spider Junior" and those with the later, larger one as "1750 Spider Veloce." I owned both a '69 Series 1, "1750" and a '79 Series 2, "2000." They both were wonderful driver's cars!

My first car was a 1983 Alfa Sud 1.5 Super Hatch, I was given it by a family friend in 1996, it had been sitting in her driveway with a broken engine for a few years, I got it fixed by a mechanic, re-did the interior myself and she was then named Delorus, she was so much fun to drive, very temperamental and quirky (she would never start after a rainstorm, during the storm she would, but not after)...great car, still kind of sad that I sold her...

Alex Chapman you’re a lucky man. I drove my friend’s Mito QV in Mexico and fell in love with it. I couldn’t believe how good the suspension and ride quality was especially with 18” wheels. So much fun to drive. If Sergio had brought that into the U.S. instead of the 500, the Alfa Romeo story here could have been a lot different.

I have a 1990 Alfa Romeo spider graduate, it’s been sitting in my driveway for 7 years with multiple problems, the engines blew head gaskets if pushed too hard and the fuel system would always rust and get clogged, I spend 200$ already on fuel system parts and it runs but has alternator problems. I absolutely love this care cause it’s small, fast and a Manuel, I hope I get it to the point of road driving soon 👍🏻

@Roller Coaster Racer 145/146, 156, 147, 159 and I would find some others that have shitty rust protection, and also there's other problem in about 90 or in late 90 metal sheets for cars were shipped from Russia it was terrible metal sheet it mostly was corroding when it was used in production it also was able to corrode from inside it.
But there are also other brands that had or have problem with corrosion so I wouldn't call it a thing in term of Alfa.
Also there's one more thing, it depends where you use car, if it's very rainy region, and you're driving on gravel/sand and such kind of roads you gonna get much faster corrosion, if you leave in mostly warm climate like Italy and drive moslty on tarmac car's metal will be in better condition.
