- Lucille Ball, The Undisputed Queen of TV Comedy stars in her hilarious follow-up to I Love Lucy!
LUCY THE STARMAKER: Mr. Cheever brings his nephew to work at the bank, hoping to discourage him from entering show business. Though he's to get no special treatment, Mooney constantly sucks up to young man. The nephew impresses Lucy and she encourages his aspirations.
I love Lucy n Vivian. But Mr Mooney was the icing on the cake 😊
It's 2021 and I'm still addicted to her shows!

Gale Gordon was genius.. Such a commanding presence, and He and Lucy played off each other so incredibly well. He also had a brilliant career in radio as well. One of the all-time greats.

Amen to that. However, like my dad used to say : _You could put pearls around a pig's neck, but that doesnt make it Royalty_
In other words : A _dress_ doesnt make a woman *classy* - CLASS is something you cannot put a _dress, suit, jewelry_ on, it is something which is *inherent* within an individual, and cannot be bought nor _dressed up_ .
There are women who could wear a $10.00 dress and make it look as if it cost thousands of dollars - and there are women who could wear a $10,000 dress and look as if they bought it at a yard sale.
Bottom line : Its not the _dress_ - its the *woman* :)

He really did look like he was going to have a heart attack.
best musical on the Lucy show was the one with Mel Torme - who wrote and choreographed all the numbers. The song that Lucy sang to Torme's strumming the guitar was fabulous - funny, well done, and Lucy looked about 25 in that skit.

@@OurHumbleLife This is how _tall_ Frankie Avalon is purported being as well ( _5' 7"_ ) and probably with heels on!; therefore, Lucille Ball was definitely taller - and she did not wear heels higher than 1.5" to 2" throughout her entire show ( _she was a little over 5' 7" without heels on_ ) ; *with* heels on, she was definitely around 5'9" to 5' 10" - the height difference between them is clearly visible - even to *Ray Charles* ! :D
P.S: The only other entertainer _shorter_ than Frankie Avalon was *Prince* who was only 5'1" ( _and I believe that was WITH his high heels on! He must have stood no taller than 4' 8" barefoot!_ )

I liked The Lucy Show better (by a lot) the last 3 seasons without Vivian Vance and the 3 children. Liked Lucy with the various stars, John Wayne, Jack Benny, +++George Burns, +++Dean Martin to name a few. The last two were my very favorite Lucy shows. Lucille Ball said her favorite Lucy show ever In the 3 Series was the Lucy Show with Dean Martin. My favorite shows were all the I Love Lucy shows - belly laughs when they first came out in 1951 - the Fabulous Four - same belly laughs today 2022. Thank you to all of them - always be remembered and treasured.

This episode was a big disappointment as the song that was playing was recorded. He didn't sing live.

I love everything except for one movie she made with Bob Hope (they made 3 very good ones) Critic's Choice - awful movie and both Bob and Lucy agreed. Could not understand how two icons of comedy could have chosen such a terrible movie!
