I love it when the writers of these classics shows even make the seemingly small roles like the waitress at the beginning of this episode stand out with some good lines/attitude.
I remember this ep from when it was new, and I was only 6 or 7 then. Amazing how these old eps can stay in one's mind. Goulet was cute. This show had several stars on it... John Wayne, Milton Berle, and I think Danny Kaye was on it. This ep is hilarious.
The waitress scene begins at 0:48 Lucy is trying to save money :) Her friend "Dottie" (who joins her at the table) is actually Lucy's real-life daughter.

Genius.
The secretary at the end too! When she said, I only have two visits to my psychiatrist. Too funny.
Her husband, Sid Gould, was a cousin of Lucille Ball's husband, Gary Morton.

The way Moonie does what Lucy says like she’s really the brains n Boss 🥸
Lucy's daughter was funny as well. Lucie is adorable. Lucie is about 63 or 64 now as of 2020
Older as Desi Jr is 67!

The way he kept on blowing that smoke into Lucy's face, would not be allowed today, things were so different then.

the waitress is a relative to too I believe. Maybe Lucy's cousins wife? Something like that.
Robert in makeup looks like a middle aged Eddie Munster from the TV show The Munsters.
Oh that poor secretary.......LOL!
Lucy such a schemer! 🤣
Mary Wicks may NOT have been beautiful but she was so intelligent. Astute. And had such a great personality & talent!
Poor horse! I wonder why the horses back was so.pulled down...
John Wayne probably sat on it at some point. Seriously though I hope that animal was okay.

NicoleAlone:) I’m willing to do that if it keeps me from being broke. Almost cut out on a restaurant before the menu came. Free chips and salsa!
Marinka RMC Go to San Marcos, Texas. Free chips and salsa everywhere. They’re catching on, though.
A bowl of hot water? Did you come here to eat or take a bath?
these shows were so contrived.. and dumb..
Brent Edwards ignorance
Why are you watching them then? And taking the time to write comments?
Brent then why are you watching Lucy
Brent Edwards then walk on by
Some of the endings were stupid on some episodes but the acting & in general the show was great.
