within the first 2 minutes i'd laughed with every line. clever wit from the days when life was far less stressful.
Brings back good memories. When people were not easily offended and there wasn't any pc crap
Mary Whitehouse among others were ALWAYS complaining and being offended by TV shows.
But you just keep wearing your rose-tinted spex.
I agree! This sitcom still makes me laugh. Love all the old comedies. Life seemed less complicated.
@@bobrew461 Yes, and there were plenty of social problems back then also, always makes me laugh when others think it was so much better 'back in the day'. But there was an innocence about most British sitcoms back then, the completely unrealistic innocence on display, that's what was funny about them, however the likes of Ben Elton was just around the corner, to drag us into the comedy of the 20th century 😂👍
Nothing offends me 😊
Oh my gosh ,you have no idea how much happiness this series you've uploaded has brought me,I've been so down losing my beautiful sister and my mum before that but watching these has taken me back to happier times of my life. You cannot beat the comedies from the 70s and 80s. Everything is so politically correct now, comedy written like these are quite often based on real life characters that's why we can laugh at them, a huge thank you 🙏🤣😂🤣
Glad to hear you're enjoying it. Please share. Thank you.
I remember the USA version of the Ropers bombed. The UK version is so much better‼️
Take’s me back to the old days thanks for the laugh 😊👍
say what you want about the brits but no one makes better comedy !!top class
That's So true, we are the Best at comedy ! 😅 hands down !
fantasic light hearted gems, put a smile on the dial after a hard days grind
Good to hear you're enjoying them.
Just found this old UK show. I've never heard of it before. I have seen the others, One foot in the grave, Are you being served, Mulberry, ect. This one fell under my radar. A true gem of a show!
I also recommend On The Buses, Rising Damp, Fawlty Towers and Steptoe and Son
This is a spin-off show. Look up the original. It was better. It's called Man About The House.
I love these old classics beats watching all the negative news 😅
Tight quick dialogue really good writing
Comic timing on the nail.
Brilliant characterisation
I loved this show when I was young. Great find, thanks so much for uploading these eps
Glad you enjoyed it
This is my childhood memories.
got a bit teary watching the last ever episode - even though it was one of the funniest things i've watched in years.
You could watch the film not many people liked it though
Can’t beat these classics
Loved how Mildred always got dressed even if staying home. Not in some raggedy robe etc
Great timeless clasic😊
Two wonderful top class character actors, always fantastic writing.
They were the best friends in life too
So sad she died too young ❤
Drinking a bottle of scotch a day didn't help

When you have a Brough sidecar outfit . Times were softer then !. Mildred is a lovely nag. Thanks guys. Dave
Love those days, I love her shoes❤
I was a nipper when George & Mildred was on tv. I absolutely loved it.
Thanks for the vid. Loved watching these. Brings back happy childhood memories. Great family comedy.
Love this programme still makes me laugh so funny to watch love it. ❤😅😅😅❤❤🤣🤣
I love it and On The Buses 🤣🤣🤣
Although im only 41 from the UK I enjoyed watching George and Mildred sitcom series i found the scene with the "Ming" horses and how karma rears its head at Ethel 😂😂
It's so great you've got all the series! I'm binging on them for the rest of April! :D x
Great stuff they don’t make stuff like this anymore = so funny
They were characters in "Man About the House" (George was the landlord). They were then given their own series "George & Mildred". Later there was a crappy American spin-off called "The Ropers" with an all different cast.
Brian Murphy now in his 90's .
Bless him he was good😁
Love how you see a red bucket tipping as Mildred opens the sidecar!
Thanks for cheering me up !
Happy that you enjoyed it!
Jeeze. Cod and chips twice and 2 cups of tea for under £2.. won't even get 1 cuppa Rosie for that now 😅

@@in2movies I remember a saturday job £5.00, I could buy a record (Vinyl) and still have change for a pair of jeans and half penny sweets 😆 and maybe a trip to a WIMPY

You're welcome! 🙂
I remember some of these episodes as a kid but have never seen all of the series 1 to 5 in their entirety. Thanks . They actually make me laugh Really enjoying these.
Glad you're enjoying them. 🙂
I have them all.
Roy Kinnear, legend, George's house guest (the Uncle)
His son is a much more accomplished actor IMO.
So fun to see again THANK YOU
Glad you enjoyed it. 🙂

Lol; was just scrolling through TH-cam uploads, and the algorithm chose to place this one right below a Judge Judy episode - so that both thumbnail images were close together.

Love English comedy on the buses is a fav to
Yes, "On The Buses" is also a British comedy classic.
Yes love this and on the buses, I have them all.
Wonderful
Yootha was like a female Mel Brooks, Understated comedy some ( intelligent ) but can so see Curb your Enthusiasm here.
Yesterday I watched her in an episode of The Saint, with Roger Moore. It's called "The Russian Prisoner."
Have a Valium sandwich 🤣 only works in our age.

Most lovely British marriage x3
Love the series. Used to watch it when I was much younger, still enjoy watching every episode.
Can't understand why Ethel who has everything money can buy, can't see her own sister who doesn't have much in life to end up with a few quid. That is just nasty and mean.
Its called comedy.

🤣🤣 THE GOOD OLD BAD OLD DAYS!
Think the plan was to do one further series before the untimely death of Yootha Joyce put paid to that.
Agree. If Series 5 was planned as the end, I think they would have finished it better. Judging from the final episode of Series 5 the ending was unplanned.
Untimely demise of her rotten drinking habit. Why would anyone waste talent like that. It is irresponsible and tasteless
She had drink issues, great natural talent , acting and comedy acting

I wish beryl and george had a chance!!
God it's a runnish tip 😮
30:32 Barbie from Love Thy Neighbor.
Although George is somewhat hapless, all the problems in this relationship stem from Mildred not being anywhere near as clever she thinks he is, and always thinking the highest of herself and the worst of George. George would be happier alone.
It`s called comedy. Are you a cancel culture fan?
@@biggstavros5876Also Love and Company,I reckon George is Better off with Mildred, and I can't imagine George on hie own 😮

When TV was cleanish...
People who were old enough to remember 50s British television didn't find this to be clean at all.

People who think Yootha Joyce was a beauty back then, need to search for photos of Brian Murphy's REAL wife at that time:
LINDA REGAN is her name.
April from Hi-de-hi 😊
Not that it's a competition, but Yootha Joyce was still hotter

NOT in my opinion;
Although, I was shocked to see her husband, the late Glynn Edwards (Dave from Minder) mention in an interview how he had to warn men off approaching her!

Unbelievable...how could he possibly not want to have regular sex with a wife as gorgeous as Mildred
Sad to say I looked exactly like the little kid in this, we are about the same age. 40 or so years later I look in worse condition than George.
How did people afford such great houses with only the man working, and not even that in George’s case?
George and Mildred got a deal on the place they had when he was working, so they purchased the house they have now.
Years ago a family could manage on a single or two low incomes.
And even in some cases buy a house!
