Putin promised to protect Russia and make it bigger... But that is no longer happening in Ukraine.
For years Belarus tried to juggle: to take advantage of the Russian bear without falling completely into its clutches. Now that no longer seems possible. Putin knows this and seems more than willing to take advantage of this situation. One way would be to force an annexation to Russia under the framework of the Union State or some other political invention, such as the recreation of the satellite states of the former Soviet Union.
To what extent is Belarus at risk of being annexed by Russia? What is behind Moscow's alleged intentions? Why does Lukashenko seem to be doing nothing about it? Well, in this video we will answer these and other questions.

It would also ensure they get to keep Crimea and get more warm water ports wich they have always been desperate for, its easy for Nato to set up militairy blockades as Turkey is doing right now, but they are playing the long game and in a couple of decades restrictions will get lifted and restore alot of their freedom of movement.

Armies of other members, especially German military, were under control of Washington (maybe with the exception of France, but it also received less aid from America). Of cause, nowadays situation is different since America isn’t rebuilding Europe any more, so other NATO members received more space for their own decisions.

Well there are a few reasons.
The first is the political aspect, Russia taking over Belarus helps to support Putin and his rule inside of Russia. Outside on the international stage it would be a sign of escalation and put the West in a position where they are forced to respond.
Think back to Germany during WW2, first it was the remiltization of the Rhineland. The west didn’t do much, then it was eating Austria the west did nothing. You get the point but once Poland was invaded the war really kicked off.
In the case of Russia they have already done the first parts with eating Crimea among other things but Belarus being eaten puts nato members at risk due to its strategic location as well as what it would signal.
On that not the strategic location is a major concern since there is a very small corridor that connects the West with the very small countries of Lithuania that should it be closed off would stop the west from being able to easily provide resources should Russia make them the next target.

For those who don’t remember breadlines have gone, modernized Moscow to point where people are much better off people don’t understand how bad it truly was in Rossiya. From infrastructure to jobs people now have purpose. Most of all breadlines are no longer prevalent. As for Rossiya, simply putting the empire back together jyst as the Persians are doing.
