You’re wrong. You can find a decent apartment for 7,000-10,000 a month. Not all are as horrible as you make it sound. You can find these places in nice areas as well.
Agreed! Although the amenities may not be as good as something 10,000-12,000, all I'm saying is the slight jump in price is very much well worth it. Even my condo is 10,500 for a 1 year contract so close to the budget even you mentioned 👍
I feel like you also have to be realistic though that it can be a lot harder for a foreigner who clearly looks like a foreigner to get the market rate for housing. A lot of people are going to see you're a foreigner and quote a higher price than they would for a Thai because they are hoping you won't know the local rates or be as willing to haggle with the language barrier + how cheap it is compared to housing in your home country. Often the best way to get the actual market rate is to bring a Thai friend along who can help argue down the "foreigner upcharge."

I'm surprised how everything in Thailand is so cheap except for the gym. Definitely think it's worth it but thought it would be cheaper than gyms in America.
good gyms are rare in thailand so they are more expensive, most condo buildings have basic gyms which are free but a great gym like muscle factory is indeed about 50-60bucks a month
Same in all of South east asia. If you want a crappy sweat box you pay 20 dollars a month. If you want a modern one with air con - its often up to 100 dollars a month
A good month-to-month fully serviced, furnished apartment in the Phrom Prong/Sukhumvit area of Bangkok is about 35k baht/mo. I'm shocked at how much cheaper your nice condo is. Of course you agreed to 6 months, and my apartment was monthly and included weekly cleaning. But still, the difference is shocking.
@@bithyzis Most places won't be listed online. They'll just have a sign out front... so literally walking the streets is the best way. Pick an area you think you might like, and go walk there. It's also a good way to see up close the environment and decide if you like or don't like that area. And when you see a sign, just walk in and ask. I've even had conversations with security guards who referred me to nearby places.
$300 a month. I live in south Thailand. My home is paid for. My monthly bills (phone, internet, garbage, water, flip-phone, electricity, gas, and insurance) come to $150. I run the AC 20 hours a day. Stupid comment. After 3 months of living in Thailand of course you can give a monthly average. Yes of course this will fluctuate but this could be called a ball park
As a Canadian a it is not cheap if one is on vacation considering having to pay the high cost of airfair to get over there and make it worth while!, how ever if living there it might not be the most expensive if one is living there, not expensive but not cheap any longer!

Hey thanks for subscribing! I may do this in future videos. Unfortunately judging by my analytics, I don't get many Australian viewers overall, mostly US/UK/EU at the moment but next video I will add more conversions 😁
Fantastic information, kindly give me the contact information where I can also obtain the price (with utility bills) you are paying for a condo the same as your’s 😊🙏🇬🇧 Many thanks Ryan, I have just subscribed. Will be moving to Thailand in August 2026 and this was a great insight into what’s required- I will be 66 years of age when I move over and I’ve visited Thailand 32 times since 2005 but never heard such brilliant detailed information
Thanks for the kind words! I don't have the contact details as I spoke to the sales office directly, but Cosy Beach View does have a website with some details on there - cosybeachview.com/contact-us/ All the best with your travels 👍
Indians are doing it to get into Canada. They enrol in a crappy college get a 1 or 2 year visa. Apply for a work visa when there. If they pick up a sponsor they can stay
The main question is: Is it legal? Thailand has very strict rules and requires a work permit for most activities. It is a huge difference if you are a digital nomad and travel for 1-3 months to Thailand and work remotely from there or if you stay there for on an ED VIsa to study. Also you have to pay your taxes in Thailand iff you stay more than 180 days. You should be careful, getting in trouble with Thai authorities is properly not the best idea.
Working online while being on a student visa is not legal but almost impossible to enforce. Look into digital nomads. Most of them are on the old tax dodge, and I actually dont blame them. Its actually easier to do if you hop from country to country every 2 or 3 months.
i feel like you are overspending by A LOT. Being a young guy and having achieved some sort of financial independence and a clear vision, i am very happy and proud for you. On the other hand, if i was in your place, i would be renting something less expensive and luxurious and in general spending less (gym membership is ok, cause you're an expert here and its related to your work). I believe that a young guy needs to also look forward and think about the future (like saving some money or investing) instead of spending some of that money on rent (do you really need a pool XD??/did you have one in your home country). Living in another country like its a continuous holiday/vacation is fun, but reckless :) Its just my two cents and directly related to my frugal nature. Having said that, i am coming to Thailand for the first time this January for 30 days and god will be my judge :D
I respect the opinion! Although downgrading from a 11k baht apartment to even 8k is a big negative jump, but possible. I save in some areas so I can be comfortable in others 😁 my spending could be less but my income if projected to increase overtime, so big savings and future plans will be more set in stone in time. All the best for when you arrive 👍
Thanks for the good video, BUT No medical insurance, that's exactly these kind of young people in the news with a motorbike accident etc. and their dreams ends on a gofundme page.

Of course you agreed to 6 months, and my apartment was monthly and included weekly cleaning. But still, the difference is shocking.
Any advise on how/from where to locate a decent apartment in BKK
Food is $150 because I eat out a lot. An apartment here is $100. I don't waste money on drinks and women.
Ok? 😂
U live off 300usd a month? Wow
Leave the prices up on the screen longer you take them down to quickly
Sorry! I will do for any future videos 😅
Ever heard of a button called "Pause"?
In entertainment you didnt mention ladies, you know all 100% are freelancers in pattaya, how much on top you spend there?
I'd say a good 95% are freelancers on nights out, but certainly not everyone. If you're into that, typical price is 1500 baht. More if either they're a 10/10 or they don't particularly like you 😂
@@TravelGlitch the 5% lie saying they have online business, on holiday or some other bull**t to catch you, dont get involved into that you new bro! They probably have old men sending monthly salary haha lazy girls
3 months in Thailand and somehow giving advice on costS 30000 is easily enough to live in Thailand I have done all over for many years
All I'm doing is stating my outgoings, there's no right or wrong answer. My friend lives here for 25,000 a month, does that make you wrong? No 🙂 in the second half of the video I just give some examples of how you could live cheaper
Stupid comment. After 3 months of living in Thailand of course you can give a monthly average. Yes of course this will fluctuate but this could be called a ball park
25,000 baht a month is the salary of a scooter mechanic😂
Yeah, while your drinking your water in the company of some thai granny, no thanks
Come here to participate, not just spectate
Did you just say 2,500 for water? That's absolutely insane. I have a full sized house and pay like 50 THB a month.
2500 for electric and water. I believe water made up about 150 baht of that
You can easily eat out all day for 10 euro/dollars if you eat street food and not fancy restaurant
You're echoing my point in the video, well observed 👍
Medical insurance?
Yes this is something I missed off as I paid mine in full for the year before I flew out here 😣
Damn that places looks nice for the price.
Do you have revolution card … and draw cash out of machines !
44 quid on laundry? That's a huge amount for one guy.
Sometimes farang gets over charged so i don’t tip
As a Canadian a it is not cheap if one is on vacation considering having to pay the high cost of airfair to get over there and make it worth while!, how ever if living there it might not be the most expensive if one is living there, not expensive but not cheap any longer!
Hi im a new member .i find your channel very useful for guys thinking of coming to live in Thailand but just one point if your getting more Australian subscribers like me we would like to see the price comparison shown in AUD aswell as the other currency’s you show
Cheers
Hey thanks for subscribing! I may do this in future videos. Unfortunately judging by my analytics, I don't get many Australian viewers overall, mostly US/UK/EU at the moment but next video I will add more conversions 😁
Fantastic information, kindly give me the contact information where I can also obtain the price (with utility bills) you are paying for a condo the
same as your’s 😊🙏🇬🇧 Many thanks Ryan, I have just subscribed. Will be moving to Thailand in August 2026 and this was a great insight into
what’s required- I will be 66 years of age when I move over and I’ve visited Thailand 32 times since 2005 but never heard such brilliant detailed information
Thanks for the kind words! I don't have the contact details as I spoke to the sales office directly, but Cosy Beach View does have a website with some details on there - cosybeachview.com/contact-us/
All the best with your travels 👍
Many thanks Ryan, hopefully I will be a neighbour of yours in a little over 2 yrs 😊🙏🇬🇧 keep the great vlogs coming
5555555 Do you really call it a rooter in the UK? That is hillarious in America we pronounce the letter u. So we call it a router.

Read pinned comment 👍
@@TravelGlitch where
found it. good summary
I spent USA 2000-2500 month single guy eat good sleep good get massage and yeah stress free that what I recommend
Tipping is DEFINITELY a thing in England. If you dont you’re just a shitty person tbh.
U living with. 1100 £ how different if u use that money in your country
It wouldn't go far! Most typical flats for rent and bills come to around £800 for the month, so even with rent alone is comes close to this figure 😱
@@TravelGlitch thanks
Also always hear that tipping is not a thing in Thailand
Tipping isn't the norm in Thailand. No one will ever expect you to tip. If you wanna tip for good customer service then that's fine. Never required.
Shocked > He is still able to get educational visa > Many guys under 50 want the same visa in a heartbeat!
Indians are doing it to get into Canada. They enrol in a crappy college get a 1 or 2 year visa. Apply for a work visa when there. If they pick up a sponsor they can stay
Food 12k... Thats alot!
I wish I would’ve known before I came that Thailand doesn’t sell chewing tobacco 😲 wtf Wacky tobacky is ok but not smokeless? I like your videos 🙏
I have seen some thais with chewing tobacco, no idea where they got it from though!
Oh well, been here 2 months without it. I can tell you are a trainer because your advice is easy to understand
60.000 THB per month is ok
What about pay to play with the ladies
Your using agency for visa. Paying 😅too much.
There's no cheap way to get a visa at a young age. We have very limited options
You must have a stash
Where TF is that place in Pattaya for 15,000 Bhat lol?
What about health insurance? you need it! you will be fcked if you dont have it and you need it bro
Ed visa is for Education not Employment. Careful....You just made an admission that your an online coach 😅
i feel like you are overspending by A LOT.
Didn’t mention VISA price. Inaccurate budget
Tipping is not really a thing in Thailand
My man missed the pinned comment 👀
I've been. Never again.
2500 Baht/ Monthly for Electrik&Water for 1 Condo? Its Scam !!!
I use my aircon far too much 😅
@@TravelGlitch current price is 4,70 Baht /Unit Elektrik In Thailand 🍀
Thanks for the good video, BUT
No medical insurance, that's exactly these kind of young people in the news with a motorbike accident etc. and their dreams ends on a gofundme page.
So you are a fairly fit guy are you telling me you don’t clean your own apartment wow why pay someone when you can do it yourself
Never said I pay anyone! Just stating the prices. My apartment rarely ever gets messy 😇
👏🏼👏🏼 👍🏼
