3.2K screen is a bad idea with a 4070 since that GPU isn’t powerful enough in games to drive that resolution. 1600p is the sweet spot. Intel Core i9 Ultra processor also gets too hot, I just bought a G16 with one and a 4090, but it gets so hot it throttles games down to 3 FPS. CPU temps can get over 90C under load, not especially impressive
@little_fluffy_clouds I don't want to game on 3.2k I would also like 1600 p or min 1440 p for gaming Only I want 3.2k display for programming since I would require a crisp display for programming or it takes away all the fun 😊

Yes. You can leave this plugged in most of the time. Lenovo has battery protection settings to help prevent damage by keeping it plugged in all the time. One of those settings will only allow the laptop to charge to approximately 80% every charge. There’s also an overnight charge option that will never let the battery fully charge while it’s continuously plugged in essentially until the next day.
I have joined a company as a software engineer, I will work with Unity3d to develop Digital Twin. So they asked me which laptop I need and I asked them for this one. Though my supervisor recommended Alienware M18 with rtx4070, I like this one more. Did I make any mistake or is it a right choice ?
I think it’s a good choice. Depends on what the Alienware had for a screen and whether you like the keyboard and trackpad more. That and the processor. Both are probably solid choices. Let me know how you like it!
@jvbp1010 I get this question a lot. I haven’t owned a Strix 18 but tbh performance wise (depending on how you spec it) they’re going to be similar. Now- the Strix is imo a different class of laptop.
