Does the i9 processor have problems on it?
Screen is not OLED, fail
How do you pin the virtual screen using the dock with the Nintendo Switch?
I'm thinking about getting these for my Series X. Checking out some reviews first. They look awesome
Dude, that is a sick shirt, what is the brand?
I wish the 7i should have an oled display of at least 3k or 3.2k res. Good speakers like the macbook And an ai processor like the core ultra series processor since these hx processors are power hungry while the ultra series are somewhat power efficient 😊
lol - the catch: 4k is better.
Nice vid How to use it with prescribed glasses Can we use it as monitor extension using HDMI input ( or do we need extra app)
I have this exact laptop. Its a powerhouse but it has trash battery life even for gaming laptop standards. It also is a little heavy with carrying the laptop and charager. Would still recommned
Damn youtube! I was just looking at some videos of the Rog Ally X now am ending up buying the console an egpu and AR glasses 🎉
@@JMsoo hahahaha oh no 😅
@@XXIVCONCEPT Good review I was going to hit buy on their website but I am actually thinking after watching your video in full!
@@XXIVCONCEPTSo I went for the purchase at the end 😂 thanks for the discount code.
Where can I get your backpack?

nice vid! do you know if i can seamlessly switch between my iphone and my apple watch with dual connection? i’m serious considering these earbuds, their design is dope!
This thing is a beast ,but I saw a 7i pro it had a 4090 too for a bit cheaper, but oh well it was too late, and plus I had gotten lucky on an open box missing the power supply for a great deal.
Hi mama
Which can play monster hunter wilds?
Be careful, this looks like sponsored video. So few things that were incorrect or ignored. 1. Liquid cooler doesn't do anything at all, it's only connected to VRAM. And compared to similar device that is Lenovo Legion 7i, there is no difference. It's just another mechanical part that can break after time :) 2. As much as device it actually thin and small comparing it to competition, it has exactly the same if it comes to performance or it performs worse if device must use both GPU and CPU. 3. There is no Windows Hello by camera. 4. Laptop can be loud compared to other devices and yes you can hear pump turning on. Overall main issue here is fact that cooling stays on pretty much all the time, even while idle. 5. To replace RAM you have to flip mother board, so it requires full disassembly. 6. Extremely poor batter life. 7. Lenovo Vantage misses few features regarding how laptop behaves while on battery, or can glitch (screen goes dark after turning on app). 8. Thunderbolts support 140W charging only with Lenovo charger. 9. Blooming issue was solved a little by dimming whole zone where bright object is placed. During normal use it won't be visible by most of the people, but some of you might see it. Besides this there where skipped few interesting features. 1. Tobii support, combined with laptop it gives you few gimmick features like, blurring display, switching position of windows by using eyes, switching position of mouse cursor while using multiple displays 2. Included replaceable key caps and plastic scissors (not sure how it's called, this thing under key caps). 3. Whole laptop is soft, it's covered with some kind rubber or silicon. And no, it's not the best laptop. Razer Blade 16 would be considered better laptop by most of the people. It's smaller, lighter, performs as good or even better than this Lenovo. Has huge track pad and better screen.
@@filipakaguptak5557 Keep in mind I review based on what I used the product for. The features I omitted were done so because I didn’t use them or didn’t find them worth mentioning for most people. The liquid cooler DOES do something, I have a whole video showing that it does. The video absolutely was not sponsored though I am certainly not an engineer nor did I claim to be when evaluating the system so I understand how my lack of negativity in some areas could be construed as me dodging the bad rather was likely due to either a lack of knowledge or a carefully considered choice to omit the information for time sake. The focus of my channel is primarily on user experience and things I (personally) found to be good, bad, or useful. Understandably, this is not the same as a deep dive with tons of numbers and graphs like you may find on other channels. I don’t cover product that way because for the general audience, it’s too hard to follow and is why I usually disclaim that I do not do benchmarks. I try to balance the technical information as best I can based on what I know vs. what I can actually test in house. As a 1-man band, I am limited on what I can test and my knowledge is unfortunately going to be limited in some places since I cover a variety of tech products. That’s what comments are helpful for! I do the best with what I have. The goal is to be able to continue to provide what I deem to be the most valuable information on a given product, not to provide ALL the information on a product that’s available and study it to compare it to all other products in the same category. Does that make sense?
@@XXIVCONCEPT Quick answer, nice. But regarding the video about the liquid cooler, the whole video is basically pointless and even if it shows something, it shows that the pump doesn't do anything. From what I saw, you basically repeated what Lenovo said. My point is that you were definitely trying to look good for Lenovo, even if it wasn't sponsored. You shouldn't say something is good if you haven't tested it properly. What happens with this liquid cooler is that, in terms of temperatures, it's basically slightly worse than what the Lenovo Legion 7i has to offer. So no, it's not something good, and it's also another mechanical part that can break, and the biggest drawback I see in this laptop. But to be honest, even if it did break, no one would notice because it's only responsible for cooling the VRAM on the graphics card, and it only makes a difference of less than 1 degree Celsius. All the things I've mentioned are important, they don't need to take up a whole section of the video, but you should mention that they're there. As much as I don't mind other things, there should be a mention of how the fans behave when the laptop is idle, the fact that the laptop doesn't last a couple of hours on battery, but at most 4 hours when idle and around 2 when using it for basic things, the fact that to replace the RAM you have to filp the motherboard, which some of the customers won't be able to do. It's not something you need to test or have knowledge for, it's something you can say from user experience.
Have you tried vivo x100 pro or ultra or even xiaomi 14 ultra ? If not, then pixel is not the best in photography at all.
Orange Power! Kudos for your awesome work!
what's the hdr callibration tool you are referencing to? Can't seem to find it.
@@carlwise9148 On microsoft store search HDR calibration and you should see it come up. It’s made by Microsoft.

anyone know how to use 100% of the screen? sides are full black.. And god damn hdmi doesnt care the sound from laptop to a screen

How do you turn on that performance stats window thing in the corner of your screen
@@HotCheetoSoSpicy554 In Armoury Crate there’s a setting for it within the quick access tools. I think it’s called Performance Monitoring.
Im an architecture student and im looking for a powfull laptop so i was considering getting this one but i was a bit concerned about the battery How long does it last on an average?
High graphics😅😅😅
Very compelling I just get myself to like the carbon fiber top ...
has anyone upgrade from aw3420 ips to this aw3423 qled ? is it worth this upgrade
I am having a weird issue. I am using a 100W dock with 100W charger but when i plugin HDMI on usb 4.0 port the external monitor is detected but no signal on it. But if i plug the dock to usb 3.x the display works.. I am using a spigen 7 in 1 USB - C dock ... do you have any idea what might be the reason why display signal doesnt work with usb 4.0?
Thanks found the armoury crate settings very helpful
I want to know what people think about long term dock gaming on this. Like playing god of war 5-6 hours everyday for months. I wanna know how that will hold up
@@ChristopherLayher Totally fine. These handhelds are just windows laptops. So docking them functionally works the same. Performance will depend on title but generally speaking, it’s a good experience if it’s all you have.
Which u can directly do from the screen much better and easier
Would be useful for long road trips or when you're not at your own place
Rog ally is not a switch. Its a pc. So throwing it in a bag in sleep/hyb its the dumbest thing.
How do you not put control mode in the command centre? Auto never works correctly in my experience. I need to use this tool constantly
I traded my Pixel 7 Pro for the 8 Pro 4 months ago, but I'm not liking the 8 because it's gets hot easily and is a scratch magnet, even with an Otter Box Defender case is getting scratched. Thinking about trading it for the 9 Pro but I'm not sure I trust the consistency of quality in Pixel phones anymore, no one mentions overheating in review videos for the 9 Pro so I guess that's not an issue right?
I think the real benefit of the OLED edition comes from it's significant battery life bump
then why buy an Ally X
Because is the best that's why jajajaja
Good video, but you appear too much on the screen, much more than the computer. I also think that it would do well to have better angles for the shots because the computer can never be fully appreciated. Regards.
i own a legion 7i. It's a gem. i game on it and i work on it .. its light... its awesome. RTX 4070
Which tomtoc bag model that you using there
If only the external gpus specifically designed for the ally weren't overpriced for no reason like why is the 3080 for it $1500 dollars 💀
Oled isn't better only because pixels burn, the screen itself is nice because it's a bit bigger and has more colors, I think I'll get an LCD since Oled is the same console, only difference is screen. You can try convincing me that Oled is better.
What do you mean by “in disguise”? It is clearly specd for gaming lol
@@stevesteveson2537 Yeah but given it has the Nvidia Studio driver instead of the Game Ready driver as well as the XRITE color software from the factory Lenovo is certainly aiming this toward students or office professionals. Of course that’s not to say it can’t ALSO be a good gaming machine. Hardware is hardware and well at that point it’s all down to marketing. And Lenovo markets this more as a hybrid gaming/school/office laptop rather than just hardcore gaming. But yes- it is technically specd with gaming in mind.
I have slightly angled grip attached to the back button. Will it fit?
Oof idk. Might be close. I'd give it a try. Buy it on Amazon and return if it doesn't fit!
Thankz for the video dude , +1 sub / i have LCD
Really opened my eyes to this laptop, I felt like I owned and got to know everything about it myself without ever really owning it
I travel to remote locations for work and sometimes want to play a game on my xbox instead of a steam deck, is there an adapter available for HDMI inputs like the Xreal or now the meta quest?
Im between the viture proxr or the xreal air with the beam pro bother end out being just under $500
Buy the viture! First of all, the most important thing on Ar glasses is the display! And the Viture has a way better display than the xreal air 2 pro! Less blurry image, and a way brighter and clearer image overall! The viture has 4000nits where 1000nits brightness are perceived and the xreal only up to 500! That’s a huge difference! How the ultra are idk… didn’t tested them! 🤷🏽 but they are expensive as hell! Also they’re made of aluminium while the xreal are plastic! And Spacewalker is the most advanced software for xr glasses! With the Xreal you NEED to have the Beam or Beam pro for 3dof! With the Viture, you only need your smartphone or your mac/ laptop whatsoever and could use 3dof on any of that devices! That alone is a huge Plus for the viture in my opinion! Also the chromatic film on the viture turns them nearly into complete darkness! The xreals doesn’t get nearly as dark, which is also a huge difference! And just alone because of the Image Clarity, i would definitely take the viture pro xr! The Xreal, even the air 2 pro are i would say „mid“, while the viture has the best display! I would say overall the Viture Pro Xr are the overall best xr glasses out today! 😌👌🏼
