    I find myself using the telephoto on my Vivo most of the time now as well. Also fingerless glove gang let's gooooo

      Fingerless gloves all the way 👊 48mm or a nice nifty fifty that's what I want lol

      Because 24mil is too wide and looks unnatural, even though spec wise it's way better. I used to shoot 85mil most of the time too with my 1V, but now that I have addon Sandmarc 58mil telephoto lens, tend to use it almost all of the time with 24mil lens. The quality of the photos are great and the "wideness" fo the view is eliminated. The photos are just sick, IMO.

      @@UpsideLens This is exactly my dream. 24mil as wide, 48mil as base and 70-80mil as telephoto is just dream combo.

      Nubia Z60 Ultra has 18mm wide, 35mm main and 85mm tele.

      Yeah Vivo, Oppo, Honor and Huawei have larger sensors and big aperture openings.
      Sony should just use the IMX890 like Oppo and be done with it.

    As a keen mobile shooter I use the Xperia 1V, Samsung S24 Ultra and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The 5x tele on the iPhone is ok under most circumstances but you can tell the small 12MP sensor is challenged. The new S24U 5xTele with 50MP does provide much better results in terms of sharpness and detail. The Xperia does lag behind unfortunately, as whilst the 85-125 zoom is useful and technically interesting, the output is soft. Hopefully the specs of the Xperia 1 VI will finally eliminate this as the main 48MP sensor does output very detailed images even binning to 12MP.

      We'll just have to wait and see what Sony brings to the table This time around

      Considering most smartphones uses in sensor crop, Sony's solutions are great but lacking due to smaller sensor sizes. Maybe we'll get a bigger sensor with better opticals in the 1 VI.

    Awesome video as always, love the filters you put on, what are they called? 😊

    • @UpsideLens
      @UpsideLens  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey thanks 👍 by filters I think you mean presets ? I colour grade every photo manually (every photo is different they need different work) I have since released a pack of starting points (lightroom presets) that allows to grade photos in the style of the ones I grade, link is in the description of my more recent videos ☺️ cheers

    The 85mm is horrible in doors for portraits. Too much noise

    • @UpsideLens
      @UpsideLens  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Sensor is noisy BUT if imported in Lightroom CLASSIC (not mobile) the raw profile is dealt with differently which helps ! Noise, especially in latest version of LRC is very much manageable via AI Denoise. Of course a bigger sensor would help and as I said before 2024 is going to be the year of the telephoto modules ! Like I have mentioned main sensors are plateauing and they're looking at other ways to improve the cameras and since the telephoto modules are normally the ones leaving to be desired I guess we should be in for a treat, will have to see if Sony jumps on the bandwagon haha

    What are your thoughts on the leaked specs for the Xperia 1 VI? We will know for sure on the 26th @ MWC 2024 in Barcelona but it looks to be a pretty substantive change for the camera lens lineup.

    • @lltechview
      @lltechview 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think the specs are a bit meh.
      Why not ImX890 of sucessor of it as tele. The tele is even smaller than on the 1 V. I wonder when we will see another Pro model where they don't care about a slim smartphone camera profile

    • @RedTick2
      @RedTick2 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@lltechview maybe they are meh... I am not so sure just yet but regardless it (Zoom Lens) should be an improvement over it's predecessor. Exmor T 1/2.7-inch sensor is a really decent sensor its Sony's damn processing that's the problem. Algorithmic Photography is great for certain cases but baking it in so low in the stack is a very bad idea. Anyway I am looking forward to tomorrow and all the details we should learn.

    How is the burst mode bro? Is it good enough with its Auto focus and eye focus, to take pictures of the running kids, Pets or sports folks ? Do they come out as great as Sony Claims them to be ?

    • @UpsideLens
      @UpsideLens  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wish burst mode was RAW rather than jpg, apart from that yes really good at focus tracking, can't say a bad thing about it tbh. Focus tracking on Xperia is really ahead of the competition !

      @@UpsideLens thanks a lot bro.. but my interest is also to know if the Videography is an improved one at night.. handheld ? Plus what’s the software updates ? Samsung and Pixel do give monthly security patches… does Sony provide it too ?

    While Sony is the best manufacturer of smartphone camera sensors, its ridiculous that they aren't using their best sensors on their very own smartphones. Thats just unbelievable.

    • @UpsideLens
      @UpsideLens  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I think by keeping the devices skinny they're narrowing down on options when it comes to sensors. It's all nice and well to want a bigger sensor but bear in mind that the bigger the sensor the farther away the optics have to be sitting away from it, it's all about how light and physics work. Now give me a thicc phone all day long with improved cameras and I'll be happy haha plus thicker means bigger battery and improved thermals 🤷 we're just gonna have to sit and wait for the a tual announcement and see where they go. Rumour also has it that from 2025 Sony may drop the Xperia branding and redesign their camera phone lineup from the ground up, again we'll have to wait and see

    Damn bro i eant to get on ur level lol. Hey question what settings do you recommend to shoot great videos and pics for indoor low light concerts?

    • @UpsideLens
      @UpsideLens  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      In terms of video you're looking at getting a gimbal, there's just no way you'll be able to get anything descent without being stable in concert low light. Photo wise depends on how lit up the stage is but you can probably forget the telephoto as I'm guessing you won't be able to stay still whilst taking the shot, I know my kind of concert I would be pushed in left right and centre haha, maybe a piano or violin concert would be different story lol for lowlight video ONLY I can only recommend iPhone 15 pro max, still the best in the business for that purpose (not photos tho 😬)
