Thank you 🙏 there's always a good atmosphere when taking photos from outside in, gives that cold and dark vibe on the outside but warm and inviting inside feel 👌
Great video, exactly what i was looking for. What i want is something like my a6400 that i can take out at night and isnt a massive camera and this might fit the bill.
That's definitely something I could do, a video comparing basic and manual but it is a given basic mode will lose out since editing a jpeg has nowhere near the same latitude and freedom when it comes to colour grading, highlights/shadows, detail, sharpness and noise reduction.
Thank you so much for explaining how to use all the capabilities of this phone! Most of the time, however, I just want to take some snapshots and do not have time for editing and postprocessing. Do you think you can also make a video on that, i.e. on the best way to use this phone like any other smartphone?
You're welcome :) and if you're going to shoot in auto / jpg and not edit the photo afterwards I would suggest you really concentrate on having a strong composition whether it be hard leading lines, very contrasty subject... The only issue with shooting in auto/jpg is that you're giving all creative control over to the camera so it may not know if you want a blurry subject and crisp background or vice versa if you see what I mean, or you might want to highlight a subject with strong shadows but the camera in auto will try to brighten up shadows and average the shot and you will not get the result you had in mind... I personally can't shoot auto as I get frustrated, unless it's just random day to day shots of stuff like receipts, look what's on TV, Ive cooked this tonight... That sort of shorts is what I use the basic mode for. Hope it makes sense, all I'm trying to say is, there's no free lunch.
I hope my video proved it was indeed taken on a phone 😉 that is the sole purpose of my channel, make people understand that whilst good camera phones can't compete with a DSLR, with good techniques they can get pretty close and goes to show that anyone can enjoy the hobby without having to spend thousands on camera equipment 👌
@UpsideLens 100% agreed after this watching this video I starting watching u editing vid 😂 man you really know how to take and present photos I'll be looking forward to your upcoming videos 😁😁
Amazing Work bro... We owned the Original Xperia with that beautiful design.. Let me know about - the Videography at Night... It seems very unstable and shaky.. Is there any way to take clean beautiful videos with "Apple Like" Stability... and - You deserve an *Nth Amount of Subs.. :)
Thanks really appreciate 👌night time video is ok as long as shooting in manual and either using a gimbal or being very steady. Watch my next video the whole intro (well, the whole video actually haha) was filmed low light with the 1 V 👍
@@UpsideLens Absolutely bro.. Can you share the link for that one please? IPhone's Stability in Videography is GOLD for sure; but i am keen to know - what settings and what methods can you use on Sony, to make the night time videos beautiful.
It'll be out today at 2pm UK time. All my videos are filmed with the Xperia 1V (apart from POV videos which are obviously recorded with an action cam when taking photos with the Xperia)
@UpsideLens Sure, would like to learn from you. I am not a professional photographer as you are; but i like taking pictures and videos especially during the evenings/ late evenings, when i am outside. Would you suggest that i try a Sony Xperia or stick with the Gold Standard of Videography that an IPhone carries.? @@UpsideLens
@sourabhsuri1104 put simply if you're leaning more towards videography then there's no second thoughts, iPhone 15 pro max and it's pro red log recording abilities all the way but if you do value photography more then the Xperia will give you much more leeway, it's really a case of choosing what matters to you the most
I guess street photography has that aspect of "voyeurism" trying to capture slices of people's lives in a shot, completely different to a staged shoot with models.
Do you ever think to yourself "nah it's not worth it, gonna look s**t on a phone " ?
Yea, all the time...
@Varcon I hope the video proved it can done 😉
Thanks for creating this content. Its wonderful to see Xperia devices used properly. Keep it up!

Rrreally tasty photos! Just how an Xperia phone should be used, gave it a proper treatment, so to speak, haha. Subbed, btw
