    Never forget, time never stops. There might come an event where you tell yourself, "this isn't worth it." Just keep going. Time isn't your enemy here. It will come to pass.

    I.t. huh? I remember when it was called bending. I also remember when Marines were indoctrinated in God, Country & Corps. Of course I also remember that disgusting woodland camo; now they have that awesome as Hell digital camo. I won't even get into how great the covers are these days. I should have waited to join the Marines until my LATE 20's rather than my EARLY 20's. Too bad I cannot go back & do it over again... of course I'ed LOVE to be able to do that. Shit brothers, I loved the Corps, so did my Father, my Grand Father & my Great Great Grand Father. From the Civil War to W.W.I to the Korean War to Operation Desert Storm, my Fathers side of the family have been in the Marines from, practically, day One. Semper Fi. Devil Dogs.

    They said that on Sundays, each recruit goes to their respective religious service. What if that recruit is atheist and has no religion? Is that just an hour and a half of free time, or will they be somewhere else doing drills?

    • @brookjohnson1842
      @brookjohnson1842 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Church service is optional to go to so yes it’s basically about 3 hours actually of free time. Most recruits wrote letters, squared away their gear and foot lockers, and ironed their uniforms. Personally I liked church cause it was an opportunity to get away from the DIs and all the stress built up over the week but everyone has their own beliefs and preference

    Another thing about this video i wanted to share with the @Marines If you went on Sunday to church then you were Deceived. sunday isn't the lords day Saturday is, the RCC Roman Catholic Church even admitted to changing it from Saturday to Sunday so If i really could reach out to the USMC and change that i really would just to keep everything in order the USMC is my favorite branch of the Military and i'd hate to see Recruits and anyone else in the USMC getting deceived by the devil and this no offense to the USMC i am just saying Sunday isn't the lords day and those pictures they had in there of Jesus that's nothing what he looks like, The bible also says not to worship any graven image which means not to pray to pictures or statues or anything that is in Heaven above i will provide a Bible verse on that here (Exodus 20:4 King James Version (KJV)
    (4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.) We must not let the Devil deceive us he is the Master of Confusion And God isn't.

    After all this training, demanded to give their best +, after they have served, are many not able to go back to a productive civilian life??

    • @derek9153
      @derek9153 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Pat Garrett, yes, but this is a correlation and not a causation. There are many different factors as to why people do not transition well back into civilian life. I struggled financially and psychologically after I got out. I’m happy to report that I love my current profession, get paid to do something I’d do for free, and am now working on my 4th college degree.
      ^it took time, hard work, and a refusal to quit.

    • @billjandal4854
      @billjandal4854 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Patt. I can say that what you are describing is the minority and NOT the majority. I am proud if my service. I was an 0311/Infantry Rifleman. I was at MCRD San Diego six days after my high school graduation. My life changed dramatically. I got out and it did take a while to adjust. But I am now married nearly 30 years. My children are in college. I am successful and would be considered financially well off. Without the training, experience, self respect, Integrity, and Self-reliance I learned in my beloved Corps I would not be the man I am today. I believe this. Semper Fi to my Brothers ...

      @Jacub81 it's different being in and then getting out, you're on your own for good.

    • @allooutrick8266
      @allooutrick8266 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Some people find the transition rough. Life in service is very different from civilian life. In service, authority is clearly defined, you earn income based on rank and other compensations like hazardous duty pay, and you're told where to work and what your role is. It's all rules and so many things are enforced and expected to be obeyed. Having said that, programs do exist to help service members prepare for their transition and to transition. Programs also exist to benefit them once their out. It's all up to the individual if they use these services and, hopefully, they're aware of them.

    • @allooutrick8266
      @allooutrick8266 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sorry for the long post but, I want to clarify it's not an absolutely rigid and immovable structure in the Marine Corps either. Many units will encourage and recognize when their junior members perform examplary work, like taking charge of their peers, performing work well above their pay grade as needed, cross training themselves and others. It's just a very different culture in service.
