It's natural to not want to believe this stuff at first unless you witness it first-hand. Looking at social media pictures of these two isn't the same as looking at Sean Reed's social media pictures, so it makes sense to not believe this shit happened, and you want to. The media never presents these situations well and unbiased, and usually frames it as either hardcore bootlicking, or "He DiDnT dO nUtHiN wRoNg". That being said, if the families continues to deny the truth even after seeing this type of evidence, then the families are living in their own reality. 3/16/2019 A grand jury decided no charges will be filed on six West Memphis, Arkansas police officers in connection with a chase and shooting that killed two people. The police department says the six officers involved remain on paid administrative leave. West Memphis police held a press conference Friday morning. The department is still conducting its own investigation into the actions of the officers involved. The police chief described the events of January 16 as violent. The department said this all started as traffic because the car in question had its high beams on and no license plate. When the officer turned on the squad car's lights, a chase began. The department said officers used different tactics to stop the vehicle, from a tire deflation device to boxing the vehicle in. Police said the driver rammed several police cars before running over an officer. That when officers opened fire on the vehicle, killing the driver, 22-year-old Megan Rivera, and her passenger, 30-year-old De'Angelo Brown. According to investigators, the vehicle the pair were in was stolen from a 72-year-old out of South Carolina. Following the shooting, investigators say they found one firearm and cocaine. West Memphis Police say the department will wrap up its own investigation sometime next week.

He had surrendered himself and, unfortunately, got the tail end of someone else's mistake (the driver) but he did have a few opportunities to flee. @Jon Kentucky Fair wisdom. As a friend I think I've done my share of trouble-making and getting other friends out of trouble so I don't think I have any room to judge ;)
This is my problem with how these situations, as insanely difficult as they are in the moment, get handled. It seemed entirely justified for the officers to begin shooting much earlier, as the tires were facing officers multiple times before that, yet they held their fire for too long IMO. But then there was the truck video of that idiot and his dad and dog where the driver got 2 shots in the arm and the dog died, when he absolutely didn't put the officers in any of the same danger as in this video. These fine details of when officers can use deadly force need to be hammered down much better in the PDs. They either shoot too early or too late.
@John C. but in this case, as opposed to that other truck shooting video I mentioned, the car was swinging around wildly, clearly putting the cops in danger. Again these situations are indeed tough.
“They was traveling, taking trips, just enjoying life,” says the sister as the family seeks a settlement. Meanwhile in the real world they had carjacked this car from a 72 year old at gun point, had a loaded pistol in the car, cocaine and were wanted on warrants for shoplifting, robberies and other charges, not to mention a high speed chase, 8 damaged vehicles, and running over a police officer point blank. @Kenneth Flaming not hard to spot!! You could see it coming as soon as the car backed up with so many officers around & it was evident she was gonna try anything to get out of there!
This is the worst pursuit I have ever seen. The officer at one point swerved to avoid hitting the cop car in front of him. The following distance should be worked on in this department. Also I don’t know whose these people are, but doing a pit on these side streets is highly unsafe, they had a opportunity on the busy 2-4 lane hwy’s for several minutes and decide to do it on a narrow (practically 1 way) road...? Barreling through intersections (night or day; sirens or not) you should at least check intersections and slow down a little..
True Reaction of Tierra Clyburn, sister of the passenger: "They could have flattened the tires or something. Why just go killing them like that... We want justice!" Passenger's brother Lemarutius commented: "They were traveling, taking trips, just enjoying life." Police dashcam: "Hold my beer"
In a news article a family member of the suspects stated ""It was just too much force that was taken. For them not to get no type of punishment, it makes them think they can do whatever they want to do." Amazing the level of ignorance in that statement. By that logic, you should be allowed to run from the police for miles and then run an officer over, all without the officers trying to defend themselves. Essentially what they are saying is police can't do whatever they want (which they can't) and criminals should be able to do whatever they want. Makes total sense to me.

Remember, as an officer, deadly force should always be a last resort. I commend all of them for their trigger discipline and patience, attempting to exhaust all means necessary to stop the driver.

ikr? I can't remember re-watching those few seconds like that on any video before..it was mesmerizing, trying to take in everything that went down at the end...but any cop, and most citizens, if they were armed, would do the same thing.. This is what happens when people can't accept the consequences of their actions. If they had lived you know they would be trying to give all that time away, offering the cops everything under the sun to get out of as much time as possible....The gene pool will be just fine without them in it, i'm sure.

They either shoot too early or too late.

it might have for sure but it looks like the cop got rolled over aka the cops knee was facing down/ towards the road when the car went over him. if thats the case then its very likely his legged was not snapped.
Hope hes ok
I felt that one watching it tbh
Yo first off who ever does these editing for police activity is on point!
I love those strobes under the cruisers, awesome. Stay safe!
@Cpt BEARDless, good someone else noticed that! 👍🏻
yea them things were sexy as fuck
Best editing job yet on Police Activity ...And thank you for your service, Memphis LEO's. Textbook.
West Memphis Arkansas not Memphis TN.
Its textbook to kill a passenger who has his hands up the whole time?
11:53 ouch
@@blakewebb8129 where'd you see that?? Your eye doc needs a fee.
You guys betta shut up before I start playing Curb your Enthusiasm.
Gotta feel for the cop who got ran over by the bare rim and tires. Poor dude
No he should not have been in the street ....that's dangerous...also he murdered these two people so fuck um. Hope he eats through a tube in his scrotum for the rest of his shitty life.
@@SlenderMaam The driver shouldn't have run from the cops, and when she was cornered, she didn't go for the 8-10 years in jail for felony Evading, But went on the attempted murder route and got herself and her friend ( Who was just caught in the crossfire ) killed. NO blame and a job well done for the officers. And a Quick recovery for the Officer ran over.
Holly Wollygog gags
@@SlenderMaam He actually never fired a shot. He was trying to get out of the way. This wasn't a situation where the cop jumps in front of the car..
Chillah 90 you the type of guy to be driving the car trying to get away
Watching this again 2 years later. It's still the best Dukes of Hazzard style chase ever! Still shocked how this woman was so determined to get away. It was like she was on auto-pilot. Crazy.
Stolen vehicle. Is it worth your life though? I'd say not.
It was because these criminals are looking for suicide by cop. And at least she got to give an officer something to remember for the rest of his 1 legged life...
@oh yeah yeah .
Is when you run somebody over and trying to get more but for the passenger I'd say not but she caused him his life...And the gun they had doesn't mean anything she's the only one I seen that had the intent of killing a cop just to get away his hands stayed up the whole time....
@@sterbprepper4798 don't be daft he'll have a few broken bones that will heal she had no real life to live for anyway no loss there.
Looks like they were trying to get away to me, you have to follow along. @@sterbprepper4798
Those poor cops, was so chaotic that they almost had major crossfire 11:54 😮
@Kenneth Flaming not hard to spot!! You could see it coming as soon as the car backed up with so many officers around & it was evident she was gonna try anything to get out of there!
Brent Tanner *Niggas call that
For real I’m suprised they didn’t get shot
Brent Tanner
Pigs that’ll be the first to show up at your house when you get robbed and need some help. There always pigs til you need them huh? Smh
We want justice!"
Passenger's brother Lemarutius commented: "They were traveling, taking trips, just enjoying life."
Police dashcam: "Hold my beer"
She got justice!! They got what they had coming to them!
yea when you run over a cop i think anythings fair game..
Hold my SD card
The keyword is "Were".
They probably tried to think of 5 more excuses when they finally saw the video but had nothing.
Never gets old
Just like the two idiots
In a news article a family member of the suspects stated ""It was just too much force that was taken. For them not to get no type of punishment, it makes them think they can do whatever they want to do." Amazing the level of ignorance in that statement. By that logic, you should be allowed to run from the police for miles and then run an officer over, all without the officers trying to defend themselves. Essentially what they are saying is police can't do whatever they want (which they can't) and criminals should be able to do whatever they want. Makes total sense to me.
I’m understanding their stupid picture too.
Well thats just how the mind of those inbreed f.cks works. They think they didn't do a thing wrong.lmao
Bruh I read that, the passenger's brother is claiming they were just riding around enjoying life and then cops just open fire on them for no reason 😑
Wow they said that. Idiots!
Make no fuking sence for me when someone standing infront och back at a car that want to escape...hope darwin take cares of those people.
