    BEGINNER'S MIND! SUCH A POWERFUL TOOL!
    This week, find other moments in which you can integrate this practice. Sitting down for breakfast, driving in traffic, putting your babe to bed, greeting a friend or partner.
    This week, what is one place you will implement this practice?

    Feeling a little sad. I did YWA almost every day. Then things started shifting in my life: selling my house, living a year 'on the road' and finally last month I moved into my new home in a new country. This last year I never forgot about my yoga practice but did not do it. Sometimes I tried and did a lesson but I did not do my daily practice. Today I started again with a new promise. Doing the session I felt sad. I lost so much of my flexibility and strength! Trying to tell myself that this is normal and that it is also normal to feel a little sad. Sharing this helps. See you tomorrow!

      I think sadness can help us more fully experience joy. I hope you will experience many moments of joy as you begin anew with a daily practice and witness that flexibly and strength return.

      I’m feeling the same way. I used to do yoga with Adrien everyday when I was at my lowest mentally. It really helped pull me out of a really dark place in life. Now that I’ve been working and life has been moving faster the last year or two I haven’t much at all and picking it back up has been disappointing because of the difference I feel in my body. I’m trying to take it slow and remind myself that everything starts somewhere and it’s the little things that build up to the bigger results

    • @jamiegould3593
      @jamiegould3593 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Hugs, friend. I have experienced similiar. I practiced for years. And then came life. I’ve stepped back in this summer and like you said I was so frustrated with things I can’t do that used to be “easy.” But I found that when I came to the mat again the next day and the same type of poses were there, they felt much more easeful. Life is a dance. You’re doing wonderful. We will ebb and flow in our lives. The times we feel less than are the times our inner voice is calling to us to find joy in THIS body and THIS moment no matter how different it might be from past times in our lives. Wishing you little pockets of joy as you begin again ❤

    Hi Adriene. I’m 22 years old and started practicing yoga through your channel 5 months ago. I was suffering from
    exhaustion, low self esteem and eating disorders. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart - working out has always been a very destructive and manic thing for me, but your videos made me fall 100% in love with yoga- I love to roll out the mat and feel strong and happy from the practice! Your yoga made me recover from exhaustion, love my body, eat what I love,and most of all start to actually love myself. I practice yoga every morning and almost every evening with your videos, and you have completely changed my life forever. I introduced your channel to my mom as well, who I believe have suffered from similar things as myself, and she is also loving the impact you have made on her life. Thank you for being such an inspiration and for saving lives.
    I wish you all the best in the future and pray that you will never stop posting free yoga! Love, Emma xx

    • @FizzyliciousASMR
      @FizzyliciousASMR 6 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      theFitty hi, sure, yeah, I have always struggled with being overweight and last year I started to feel the onset of anxiety and depression. I had begun meditating but then a therapist that I went to see for two sessions recommended yoga and the combination of a good yoga practice (here) and some meditation has led me in so many more personal development directions including doing what I love, eating a more healthy diet, and not feeling any of the symptoms that I was before. I am losing weight and getting stronger while also feeling good about myself and being more available to be kind to others. It’s like a regular yoga practice makes you want to fix everything in your life and everything just keeps getting better and better ❤️

    now on my second month with Adriene. Today was so much about everyone else. Ever have those days? where everyone seems to need an ear, needs to vent, etc? Today was that day and after getting home late I was just about to quit for the day and eat myself into a fish stick coma when it happened, lol, I was like F that I'm doing a yoga practice! Not only am I proud of myself for overcoming my fish stick addiction I did something positive for ME.. something that brings me back to myself. I consider that a win in life.

New beginnings call for new and renewed intentions! Thank you, Adrienne, for giving me the tools to trek life with a sense of awareness, ease, and love. I am filled with excitement, anxiety, and uncertainty for this new chapter in my life, but I will meet the challenge with a balanced state of mind and a willingness to learn new things. 💕

    Awesome yoga practice! Thanks Adriene. This was a much needed practice today, I have quite a bit of back pain, in my lower back today, because of my Fibromyalgia. Doing this practice has helped a little, mainly to stretch everything out, I still have pain I'm my lower back, but it does feel better after doing yoga with you. It's funny during practice, I had an epiphany about some thing, that's been bothering me for ages. So thank you for helping with that too. I'm going to meditate now, and see if I have epiphanies, about anything else. Thanks so much Adriene, you rock. See you tomorrow morning. Namaste yoga Bestie. 🙏🧡

    I struggled a little on the mat today. A loved one was being unkind earlier and it put a black cloud over my head. So I tried to exercise my beginner’s mind to leave that aside for a while and take care of myself. It took practice, but I was able to have some moments of presence on the mat in the later potions of this practice, and it made me feel better. Thanks, Adriene, and Benji. 🙏

    Blossom Day 11 :
    Skipped ahead to one of my favorite practices to reset and renew my love for yoga. It is simple, clear movements while also allowing a lot of room to improvise and experiment. Every time, it makes me take a step back and see it from the perspective of a person beginning with Yoga. And every time, I discover something new in myself, something to ground myself upon and grow from there and to just not take everything seriously for a change.
    I hope this practice serves you well too, to begin, or to start again, or to step back and appreciate what we already have in us. Wishing you a good day ahead. Namaste.

And then I had a hurdle of not really feeling to do the more powerful yoga sessions that I used to love. So I started to do some cozy yoga videos to get in the groove again and then I saw this video. So perfect! 7 days ago, after 7 years of being symptom free from ME/CFS , I relapsed and all the only too familiar and unwelcome fatigue returned. Yoga was a big part of my rehabilitation to health and well living. I remember the first time I attended a yoga class. It was like a coming home to myself and I wept joyful tears throughout the practice. Today when I restarted yoga after 7 days absence I felt the same joy and spiritual connection with self. I have a long journey back to physical and mental health but this yoga practice has set the tone and been my first step back on the road to recovery. Thank you Adriene for providing that support for me today. I fell blessed and full of gratitude 🙏

We simply love doing yoga with you. My grand daughter Sareen who’s 9 years old occasionally joins us. She also loves doing yoga with you. Benji is so cute! A hug to Benji.

    Adriene, this was a lovely sequence walk through of refining the basics, slow and steady. As a senior yogi, I always feels rather inflexible in baby cobra and wish I could power up to plank, but you always advise us to adapt to our individuality, so as usual I went through table top to get to downward dog. My triangles need some improving, but it’s all good 😊 see you tomorrow for Day 6 🧘🏼‍♀️🧘🏻‍♀️🙏💕

But your yoga is really helping me get through feeling under the weather, you always make me feel better, and brighten my day. Thanks Adriene your the best. I've definitely been Bring yoga into my everyday life on and off the mat since I've been practicing regularly again. So thank you again for helping me to see the world in a slightly different way. Perfect for today. The 50th anniversary of the Fischer-Spassky match has me thinking about the opportunities that my brother received around chess and that I was denied. I'm declaring that it's never too late to learn and I'm so grateful for the many ways that are available to me to learn in 2022. And I'm grateful for this practice, and the August 2022 theme of Begin, to willingly put myself in the beginner's mindset.

    For me this was a simple lesson in a slow flow, no yoga robots 😄 it was kind and thoughtful. There was some freestyley peddling in this sequence, I love that ! As a senior yogi, when it comes to vinyasa flows, and baby cobras, I just cannot power back up to plank, so I just went through knees to downward dog. All good 🙏 see you tomorrow Adriene for Day 7 🧘🏼‍♀️🧘🏻‍♀️💕
