Wow! your talent is humbling.. your technique is amazing and you make it so effortless. I am getting back to painting after a battle with breast cancer last year and am even illustrating my own childrens book after I started to get better with my technique after watching your demos! Thank you Steven!
+Elizabeth Valentine thanks for your comments Elizabeth. I'm glad the videos have helped with your artwork. I hope your book goes well. Good health to you and very best of luck
Another nice one...Steven ! Can't get over how your paintings are so simple , but yet so inspiring at the end ! makes me not want to give up on watercolor painting...!
Nice pale blue color and a yellowish one for the sky. Small trees in the distance with a large dark one on the right hand side with their reflections. Same on the other side plus a big huge dark tree with reflections. Nice yellowish color for the seashore. Nice pastel colors reflect in lovely way on sea. Large land with a mixture of various beautiful colors. There is a dark tree on right side of this land as well as lot of grasses. A big long dark tree with thin branches is on left hand side. Thank you Steven for these wonderful teachings and this great demo. in drawing the tiny branches.
Nice blue and yellow colors for the sky. A few small mountains in the distance and tall dark trees on the right hand side. A small brown land in front of small trees as well as dark ones on the right side. Some dark and colored big trees on left hand side and a huge dark one on same side with their reflections. There is a big land going down as foreground with variety of pastel colors. Pretty dark bushes on right hand side and on land here and there. Now is a big huge dark tree with thin branches on left hand side of land and going up on top of paper. It has a lot of pretty small leaves. By the way, the nice cool colors of the sky reflect beautifully on the sea. Thank you Steven for this lovely scene as well as your instructive and interesting teachings and demos.
Some blue and yellowish colors on your paper and small trees in the distance. Just in front a small brown land and a few big dark trees with reflections on right hand side. On the other side some more taller dark trees and a huge one with reflections at end of left side. Right after this huge tree there is a land with a mixture of beautiful brown, lemon yellow pale and dark green which goes from one side to the other and down to form a foreground. From the small brown land in the distance to the big one, there is an area of water which brings beauty to this lovely scene. On the left side there is a big long dark tree with big and thin branches as well as tiny leaves. The view is simply beautiful. On the right hand side this dark bushes with its shadow make this lovely scene look more vivid. I thank you Steven for this beautiful video with its very interesting teachings and demos.
Dear Steven, I was watching your painting "A New Dawn". Your were explaining what you did. In fact it was just like watching a demo. In all, the painting is beautiful specially the foreground with its magnificent foliage in different suave colors. Thank you Steven for all these wonderful paintings and demos. that you offer us.I sent you on Facebook a special note to tell you how happy I am to have received my easel today (a beige one very pretty).
No deja de fascinarme cuando veo el desarrollo de uno de sus acuarelas. Me encanta su estilo tan audaz! Siempre creo que ya se echó a perder y resulta que acaba con un colordio hermoso. Gracias por mostrarnos sus trabajo,
Iv'e been painting for 35 years in watercolor & oil but never seen a Hake handled like this. You do excellent work sir; but what you really excel at is your *colour-work*......it's about as good as it gets👍-
Been wanting one of your paintings since youve been such an inspiration to my painting. Got my bid in on this one and hope to win it. Excellent demo. Thanks for all the great tips and teaching throughout the years.
@@StevenCronin Thank you very much. I just bought the med and large brush today. Antisipating their arrival. I just love the way you do your water landscapes. That is the mountain i am trying to climb. One of the hardest is painting water loosely. I will be watching your videos on TH-cam to learn about those brushes. I like thr texture they create. Those are just beautiful watercolor paintings. Thanks
There's alway's one who give's a thumb's down, I wonder if he or she has any art work uploaded? of which i doubt. Keep watching, you might learn a thing or two. Thank's Steve, alway's a pleasure to watch.
Steve, I love your style. However, how come your paper never buckles when you have wet it so much? I am plagued with buckling paper, even 300lb paper when wetting it and all my paint runs into the valleys. I never see that happen with yours. Do you stretch all your paper before painting on them? Yes, I have taped it down thoroughly first! You only have bulldog clips! Arrrgh! I'm so frustrated!
My paper is only 130lb so 300lb paper should fair a lot better with the water. No I don't pre-wet the paper. Are you completely drowning the paper in water. Yours should be thick enough to cope. What brand is it?

Wonderful, Steven! All the elements are there but simplified! Such a great skill to practise because it's not easy to simplify a scene!
Thanks for watching.

Hermosa pintura, técnica de gran artista. Solo con talento y constancia se logra esta fluides y al final una hermosa obra de arte.

Great picture ....good you tell me any tips on how you paint those birds in the sky please
Thanks for watching Linda. They are just tiny little V shapes in the sky. Use a rigger brush and they should come out fine.
Thank you... I learn so much from you :)
Thanks for watching
Welcome back Steve. Seems ages since your last one.
Thanks for watching Brian
Спасибо!!!...хочу больше смотреть ваших работ!))))
Thanks for watching and best wishes
Great painting as usual. Just a quick question Steven, what size mount do you usually use to frame the majority of your paintings?
I post all my paintings for sale on eBay and send in a tube so I never get to see them in a mount unfortunately. Thanks for watching.
What is the name of that large brush? Looks versital.
It's a large Ron Ranson hake brush. Thanks for watching and happy painting

Thanks for watching @mammam3490
I wish a Ronin brush, I think the little is better to begin ?
I started with the large. I don't think it makes any difference which size you start with really. Thanks for watching Elena
I got the large and medium. Now i wish i had got the small too. The medium brush does fine lines beautifully.
