Super Mario Aeneid 64 and Argonautica 64 were the stronger hacks in my opinion, despite being very derivative.

The only reason mario hasn't done this and put the mushroom kingdom in peace is because he values his life too much
Looks like you're not actually "controlling" anything, it just makes Mario invisible and puts him near his target, so when he moves around, the enemy chases him, and that's how you make them move. Still pretty good for a couple hours of work.

That doesn't really make sense for how Shy guys and Lakitu work...but it happens anyway.
He updated it, now you can control their movement.
You still can't control their movement, but the update adds gas and reverse (car controls) so you can go forward with otherwise immobile characters (toad, pink bob-ombs, signs, piranha plant, etc.). Otherwise the characters move the same way by chasing the invisible mario. It's still pretty neat though, maybe next update he'll add a jump.

Super Mario 64 DS is worth checking out, has a bunch of extra levels and stars. Also lets you play with Wario, Yoshi and Luigi. The 4 character feature works a bit in the same way as DK64 with exclusive stars for certain characters.

Nupe, Once you get used to them they're actually quite funtional.
@@diegomedina9637 they really wanted the touchscreen to be used like the analog stick (in combination with that thumbpad strap thing that came with the original DS) but that method of control absolutely sucks a fat one, I preferred to make do using the D-Pad. Not ideal but it works.

maro is Mario's retarded clone made by E Gadd (Whatever his fucking name is) because E Gadd wanted a child to keep from being lonely. Unfortunately, some shit got fucked up because E Gadd was playing with a fidget spinner. Now he's a fucking disformed polygon monster. E Gadd didn't want him so he tried killing him, but maro escaped and stole E Gadd's fidget spinner. He only makes gagging noises and screams every once in a while. This was fucking horrible to write

I think when you "control" an enemy, basically what its doing is chasing invisible mario so it looks like you're controlling them.

I saw the real stream and it was pretty good
With this mod I discovered that there is actually a hidden star that's not supposed to be got in the slide mission on cool cool mountain, not the race with the big penguin though. The star didn't give me an extra one, it counted as just the 1 star from the mission, but I thought it was cool.
My mistake, it was Peach's secret slide.
