given the show the other night at Sea Hear Now, it’s safe to say i was a fool for every worrying about the quality of a live PJ show

And he was very sick to boot. So I'm sure he was surprised that he hit those notes and that's probably why he was smiling. I mean, what a boss Eddie Vedder was and frankly he still is.

Mixed voice actually, no hooty-flooty falsetto. It's mainly head voice but mixed with a gulp of chest voice. That's why it sounds "round" and "full" 😊 Cheers from a singer

I remember being in middle school and playing in band and kicking it with my bandmates who were predominantly white skater kids. They opened the door for me with the grunge movement and I am appreciative for it. Opened my eyes to so many other forms of music as a black kid other than rap and hip hop that I was use to listening to. Music is universal. Still listen to these classics to this day and it just take me back to when grunge was just popping! LOVE IT!

I grew up listening to Pearl Jam cause my parents are fanatics and every one of the countless shows they go to they just stand in the crowd singing and crying 🥺

No they sure won't. Not as long as we're still alive and kicking and passing it on to our kids and grandkids anyhow. My son, who was born just a year before they performed this, listens to some god awful new age heavy metal which thoroughly sucks, but I have faith he'll come back to his roots in grunge someday lol.

Sweet Jesus. There are no words for this performance...... I saw these guys in 1993 in London..... I was 17 it was utterly magical. I met Dave in the crowd and he was a delight. It's a song that leaves any normal emotional human breathless......

One often overlooked contribution to the greatness of this song is the fabulous bass line on the fretless acoustic bass guitar.

It's a great part, but the bass guitar is electric here and it was electric on the original recording as well.

Its crazy how good this performance is. The band is so in sync and Eddie's emotion is there both visually and audibly. PJ unplugged is an experience everyone should go through.
