I love, love, *love* the fact that the reason Kanade realized Mafuyu's mother doesn't actually care about her daughter at all is because she had such loving parents to compare her to. And seeing her entire demeanor change as she takes a stand against Mafuyu's mother is sooo satisfying.
This is why having a loving and caring family goes a long way

Kanade is so thoughtful of Mafuyu. She actually has such a strong character in her... she both tried not to jump into conlusions beforehand and was careful when talking with mfmom at first, but after that she made things about mfmom clear and has made up her mind, she has chosen her position after she had analysed everything. Honestly, she is really smart
I dont think I would behave the same way around mfmom cuz im too easy to be convinced by others, and considering mafumom is a manipulative type she would especially easily play her tricks on me. Kanade is not so naive, that's what is also admirable of her, as for me, i think:>
If Kanade had never experienced the parental love and the warmth that came with it, perhaps she'd have been swayed by this swindlers way of words. Thankfully Kanade had a proper family and the unconditional love provided for her.

Shes an amazing character honestly snd she just took the conversation with mafuyus mom really well... being able to take a look at things objectively while still holding on to her desires for mafuyu and how she truly feels. Its really important tobalance both. If it was ena talking with mafuyus mom i feel she would get too out of hand with her feelings haha

The fact that we got a design and voice only when Kanade talks to Mafuyu's mother is so satisfying to me. It basically suggests that Mafuyu sees her mother as faceless, nameless, and voiceless. The only thing that matters is her words, because Mafuyu's mother's words are her world. The mom seems to be in complete control of her household, because in an earlier chapter the dad immediately took his wife's side. I sincerely hope the dad is truly on Mafuyu's side, and that she will at least have one parental that doesn't want to surpress her.

I’m SO proud of kanade. It’s so great to see her more assertive and angry side, she’s always been such a great leader to niigo as well as really emotionally intelligent and it’s nice to have them show more of that. this scene really makes her shine. Her monologue is now one of the best scene in the game imo.
Really scared for what will happen to her next, that “be careful not to regret your future” sounds more like a threat to me…. Plus keeping this from mafuyu can’t possibly be good.

I feel like Ms. Asahina repeats the saying “think carefully about your future so that you don't have any regrets” or something like that a lot right now.
Feels like she regretted something from her past and now dumps it all on Mafuyu.

SAME BUT I WAS SO PROUDDD
SAMEEEE and I thought that mafuyu's "mom" just realized what's wrong BUT NOOO she's HORRIBLE
There's so much subtlety about Mafumum that makes me totally despise her but absolutely praise the writing team. Everything she says and her voice acting appears pleasant, but it's the other ways it can be read. You can read her saying to Kana about going home and her parents worrying as not knowing her home situation and understanding a parental perspective, but really it also undermines Kanade's perspective and suggests she's just a child with childish worries to consider, thus her opinions get invalidated.
Similarly, when she says to keep the conversation from Mafuyu that she doesn't want anything to interfere with her studies, and Kanade goes 'anything that will cause unnecessary worry', you see her priorities differ from Kanade. She puts achievement and work first, and Kanade instead chooses Mafuyu's feelings and mental health.
Because at the end of the day Mafuyu is mentally unwell, and having a supportive network that fosters her hobbies, values her and her emotions has shown to be more beneficial than the 'work hard' approach of her mother that caused her to have a panic attack.
It's great they chose a really subtle way of characterising her abuse. It appears caring (even Mafuyu arguing with Kaito can't see it for what it is) but she's willing to isolate her from her friends and convince her she's a terrible person if she has her own identity to the one her mother wants. Textbook manipulation.
God this woman is despicable. Kudos to those writers, I'm really excited to see how they work with this.
I wish they would one day list everyone who ever wrote a niigo story. This one in particular is phenomenal

My anger for Ms.Asahina, Mafuyu's "mother" is growing every day, she's horrible.
I thought she was a mysterious woman, like a monster in the previous stories. But seeing her in flesh and bones now makes me way more anxious and nervous than I thought I would be. Her appearance, voice, the fact she is like older Mafuyu, it all hits me.
Her voice actress slayed! Can't believe it! Such a classic mom voice, but so manipulative, like she chooses her words to mess a person's mind. Gotta stan the mysterious VA. Idk where to find anything about her, unfortunately.
My favorite part was probably when Kanade realized that Mafuyu's mom is really manipulative was when she remembered her loving parents. She knows what warmth is and is determined to make Mafuyu know it too.
All I need now is that Ena go meet mfmom. Then Mizuki. I feel like Ena has found a lot in her journey, and knows how to stand up for herself and the people she cares about. Mizuki knows what Mafuyu means to them, so they'll defend her as well, no matter what judgement of mfmom's mouth comes out.
Sorry for my ramble, I just couldn't resist! I am very excited for the next niigo event, the story is at its climax now!!!
Edit- what if Ms.Asahina found the Sekai Song? Well, she would obviously be surprised, yes, but I believe that Miku would explain what is going on, and when mafumom reveals she is Mafuyu's mother, I just believe that Kaito, Meiko, Rin and maybe even Luka will get her feet to reality and let her know what's going on with her daughter. It will probably be such a climax, it'll be incredible. I can imagine how hard they'd be spitting facts. I also can't wait for the goddamn event where Ena, Kanade, Mizuki and Kaito hit mafumom with a truck.

After this story, surely I can said that, Mafuyu's mom doesn't care about Mafuyu's feelings a little bit. Poor Mafuyu, she has to live with such a witch
If 25ji KAITO was listening in on the convo, he would have found a way to materialize into the real world and chew up Mafuyu's mom. Just knowing that Mafuyu's probably at home and her mom's going to become even more controlling to her, and Kanade feels like she can't tell her about this meeting because it'll cause Mafuyu more stress is sad.
Also, I love that Mafuyu's mom's animations shows a lot about her character. It's such a small movement, but to me, it gives off "Oh? You still have more to say? Not like it matters." I hope that Mafuyu gets to yell at her mom as everyone watches like "yeah you tell her!"
I can’t even explain how badly I want all of the N25 Vocaloids to just give Mafuyu’s mother what she deserves. Tell her how much hurt and suffering she’s REALLY caused.

why do i have this feeling of hating mafuyu's mom, but when she say something i just really don't have the nerve to hate her. When i saw kanade's mom, i feel comfortable in a mysterious way i can't even use words to describe. But it's the opposite for mafuyu's mom, i feel like she is high above and her mind is something much more i can never reach, like she is putting true weight on me just by looking.
I love how these character feel so realistic.

After i read all 8 chapters of this event story, i cannot hold my anger anymore😡😡😡. Mafuyu's mom is the worst person i have ever seen in this game. Not only she tries to manipulate Mafuyu but she also want Kanade to encourage Mafuyu to quit the group. She even doesn't care Mafuyu either. For 2 years making tons of music at Nightcord at 25:00 for hoping to help Mafuyu finding her true feeling, she even deny that. I am totally pissed off for each every single line from Mafuyu's mom🤬🤬🤬. Kanade had a tough time to convince her. I hope Mizuki will be the next or maybe the final person to confront Mafuyu's mom in the next 25ji event story and then Kanade, Ena, Mizuki and even Mafuyu will have one last chance to convince and show Mafuyu's mom that everything she made was totally unacceptable and deserved to be condemned

I theorize that mafumom is like mafuyu. No personality only sadness (maybe depression) and the way she talks with everyone and her daughter is just a mask, like mafuyu.
im not trying to defend mafuyu's mom's actions or anything like that but i have a theory that mafuyu's grandma was just like mafuyu's mother right now when mafumom was young so she is using what she learned from her mother

I'm assuming mfmom found herself in the same situation as teenager but instead of listening and work on her feelings she decided that she will make her child be successful and "important" to society so that she wouldn't have to worry about feeling worthless, see, this is a common trope even in real life and I wouldn't really be surprised if some of it is true to a certain extent, that's what I like about prsk event stories, they tackle real life issues.

I feel like Mafuyu's mom will have a back story about she had a poor life when she's a child because her parents job wasn't doing great after they try to achieve their dream. She always talking about Mafuyu's future even warning Kanade about her future too. She only focusing about how to make Mafuyu to have a stable job in the future but not about her feelings and make her depressed, even after Kanade told her everything. I'm sure she herself believe that she's doing it for Mafuyu and didn't see what's wrong with her at all about manipulating Mafuyu and so.

I'm so pissed at mafumom because she reminds me of someone! She's so dismissive of her daughter and neglected her feelings. She doesn't trust Mafuyu at all, she only wants Mafuyu to obey her because she's her PARENT. This really hits close to home what the hell proseka team lol
But to be fair, I think Mafumom had past issues leading her to become like that to Mafuyu. Maybe she regrets her life right now instead of pursuing something better and she's taking it out on Mafuyu to not make the same mistake. I hope they talk about their issues and get along, mafumom needs saving too 😢

You know, I've had this question in my head about this game for a while. And now with this new event, I want to ask this question even more. "Will Project Sekai ever end one day...?" Now I know people are automatically are gonna go "No it won't!" Not because they simply believe that, but because people are in denial about the possibility of Project Sekai being over (and I get it. I love Proseka too but hear me out) And I don't mean the game itself. I mean the story. All of the events that we have heard and saw with our own ears and eyes, witnessing them as if we're there experiencing these things with everyone. The lore about the sekais. What if there was a event which is considered the series' finale or something like that where we see all of the characters grownups and either go on their path and separate, or still stick together after all those years. Because I'd thought that might never happen. Until Immiscible Discord released and with seeing Mafuyu actually not being able to work with Niigo that much like she used to because of her mother. To the point she can only be seen being in school if you are looking at all of the locations of Shibuya and that will be it. She might not longer even be in the sekai. Mafuyu, when it comes to lives after an event has ended or even with the Colorful Link performances, she might only be able to do just 1 song only. Hell, she might not even be there at ALL. Like the way this specific event might actually have a big impact on Mafuyu is CRAZY. I'm talking about all these things is because we've never had an event this serious before. This event is like on a whole different level (at least in my opinion.) And even IF project sekai might end one day (story wise), When? When will it happen? What will happen to all of the virtual singers? Will they be forgotten? Disappear in bane of existence? Sorry for this long ramble, I just really wanted to say this for so long and talk about how interesting Immiscible Discord is. This just made me think about this question I have even more. And I think I want all these questions and considerations to stick into everyone's minds. Like the way they've always stick with my mind too
I dont remember the exact wording but the devs said something about after concluding the group stories, they will add new units in or something like that?? Or its inevitable to not add new groups in (i dont remember which is annoying, but it was a translated interview) So theres that to make the games lifespan longer XDDD
But yeah, proseka will definetly end someday😢
As for the Vocaloids, I dont know man- They might continue to exist even after the owner’s dreams are fulfilled. Bc in the 2nd anniversary card stories, vocaloids are seen exploring in abandoned sekais (Which means that person abandoned their dream)
The devs didn’t talk about ending the main groups stories, but they did say that they’d have to add new groups at some point because catching up to the stories of the units that were here since the start would be difficult to new players.
Idk if they already have something in mind for the ending, but since their goals is to keep running the game for as long as possible I think they work more in arcs. The mafumom arc we have right now will conclude and other ones will begin. Niigo still have a lot of stories to tell, like following up on mizuki’s secret, exploring kanade’s present struggle and her situation with her father, or showing mafuyu beginning to heal after she gets out of her mothers grasp

I cannot believe how angry I am at Mafuyu’s mom. I truly wanted to believe that she really did have her best intentions at heart, but after just brushing aside Mafuyu threatening to kill herself…that is simply unforgivable. reading this entire story has made me realize a few things
-kaito is harsh, but he makes very correct/true points/arguments
-mafuyu, whether she realizes it or not, has already been sorta brainwashed into thinking her mom is this wonderful person, when clearly, that’s not the case. she needs to realize that one day.
-ena and mizuki sorta being sidelined was interesting. I would’ve thought it would be ena to confront mafumom directly. seeing kanade do that was unexpected.
-kanade CLEARED her. I loved kanade so much already, but now I love her so much more. go girl!
-mafumom needs to burn. I’m so sick and tired of her. I can’t say mafuyu’s my favorite character, but NO ONE deserves the treatment she’s getting.

Honestly, this event is so good. It's satisfying to see Kanade's Assertive side, but still, this woman can't change her mind just for a little bit. I really hope that the next event, all of Niigo will confront Mafuyu's parents and talk it out (Although Ena could be very aggressive there) and make them understand Mafuyu's true feeling

Kanade maneuvered that conversation so well. She has always shown she has high emotional intelligence but wow. The whole exchange between her and Mafuyu's mom was filled with so much tension between the music and Momfuyu's master class of manipulation. You can see all the subject changes and steering she does to make herself the one in the right that make you on the edge of your seat the whole time. But when she just easily dismissed her daughter's suicidal thoughts.. man, I'm kinda scared of the future event stories. I was going to find a translation for 'Our Escape for Survival' but on second thought I'll let this sit.
I love the way these last two episodes have been written it's so good. That line before Momfuyu leaves is so ominous too it genuinely seems like she will do her best to ruin Kanade's life because Kanade realized just how abusive the situation actually is.

Actually I think the same. Most parents tend to act like their parents to their children. So I think mafuyu's 'mom' raised in a house like now mafuyu does. She hid her feelings and became a manuplative person like maybe her parents.

it's funny because when i first got into proseka, the writing seemed a little too simple for me (super enjoyable still, just felt jarring after 7+ years of maining enstars, couldn't help but feel that it'd benefit from commiting to being darker) but then i have to read mafuyu focus stories and they're incredibly triggering, ena and mizuki focus stories also get close to that territory; proseka stories are really good at being "simple" but sooo well executed :')
