her mom finally showed her true colors. She never cared about Mafuyu’s well being, only about her perfection and studies. She didn’t see her as a daughter but as a trophy that she can show off to the world to make her look like the best mother. And the moment when Mafuyu listens to everyones advice and finally snaps rlly made me tear up. Overall this and An’s last event are imo the best written events in the game
I could not agree more with that. I haven't read that event story with An yet, but I'll get to that at some point. But any time I see such well-written stories like this, I gotta give them good credit for it. Whoever writes these stories must really know how to develop characters in a way that no one else can. Just my thought.

i almost kinda wished they never gave her a sprite art and animated it so she could stay faceless forever because the fact she resembles mafuyu so much is sad to me
@@postystan generally speaking, abuse is a cycle… so it’s likely mafumom had a similar childhood to mafuyu. they’re alike in that way.

tbh, i liked when she was faceless because she felt like this omnipresent force controlling mafuyu; but having the reveal of her face during the event where kanade confronts her was a great choice.
because to kanade, mafumom is just a person. she can be defied.

im so proud of mafuyu for finally fighting back. she really couldnt have expressed her own feelings better and yet her mother still refuses to understand her point of view. her mother fails to acknowledge the fact that mafuyu was still one of the best students in her class despite also doing music and spending time with niigo at the same time, since those are the things that gave her strength and the motivation to continue studying in the first place. and yet her mother is saying shes doing worse because of those things, shes truly a horrible person. if she really was a good mother, she'd understand how important those things are to mafuyu. bless her soul, despite everything mafuyu still keeps saying she'll always do her best to live up to her mothers expectations but her mother is still so adamant on taking away the things she cherishes the most. its extremely foolish of her to think that depriving her daughter of any kind of extracurricular activity and of making friendships will help her. not just mafuyu though, depriving anyone of things that make them happy or allow them to relax is going to lead them on the path to destruction. that horrible woman doesnt deserve a child like mafuyu. ummm anyway TYSM FOR THE TL!! i got way to pissed off by mafumom lmaoo
@@iamfighterman9646if I remember correctly, it seems like Mafuyu is in possession of her mother’s credit card that she received to buy books and necessities. Atleast that what’s I remember, someone mentioned this and it makes sense since she often buys stuff on her own. I’m not sure though, so take this with a grain of salt !!

Story of mine
I have an abusive and manipulative brother, that thanks to this event story I realized how manipulative he is. Guilt tripping, manipulation, gaslighting, you call it. This kind of people makes you think that there's something wrong with you, and you begin to hate yourself thinking that you're living life wrong, that you're wrong and as much as you try, you can't change (because that's not you). So this also develops to depression, anxiety and identity loss. You are like a puppet being played around, and this also affects your other relationship because of anxiety that maybe people hurt you, or that they will go away because of a "hi"
People may ask themselves if people like Mafuyu's mother exists, and they do. They do and worse.

I like to think that Mafuyu’s mom gave Mafuyu her credit card so that she’d be able to buy textbooks and food when she needs to, and after moving in with Kanade she uses it to her advantage freaking maxes it out, buys her clothes and instruments and then Mafuyu’s mom’s like ayo what’s all these bills and then it hits her like OH SHIT

@@postystan it makes me happier to think that Mafuyu regularly lets Ena use the card for online makeup purchases. You know how expensive makeup in Japan gets. Mafuyu doesn’t care. Mafuyu’s mom wonders where all these makeup bills come from when the only makeup Mafuyu uses is like, the lip gloss she got on her 15th birthday.

What I love about Kanade and Mafuyu’s relationship is that they both need each other and give each other a reason to keep going. And the fact that Mafuyu ran to Kanade feels like proof that Mafuyu feels safest when she with Kanade.

TYSM for translating this chapter. This is one of the most dramatic chapters i have ever read in this event. After the many events of nightcord at 25:00, thanks to advice from Kanade, Ena, and Mizuki as well as listening to a song composed by Kanade and sung by 25ji Miku, Mafuyu found the warmth of the song itself and escaped on her own from her mother's manipulation by running away from home and going to the Kanade house for help. That made me so happy 😆as well as so emotional that I cried when I saw the last picture of Kanade hugging Mafuyu who was crying because she was so desperate after talking to her mother😭😭. At the same time, I am also extremely frustrated and angry at Mafuyu's mother's unacceptable words🤬. I hope the next event the remaining 3 members of the group will solve all the problems that mafuyu faces.

Uh....how about we let the "Let's punished Mafumom" to N25 Kaito-san. He would tell her some argresive words (even if he swears...got that from that ao3 Story called "Shut Up/Urasai" but the creator was unknown) and he would stab her heart/chest with a kniff then handed the kniff to Mafumom to make everyone think she perform -suicide- on herself....if one Fragment of Feeling respones to N25 Kaito's feelings and teleported him to Shibuya with some disgues in hand😊

That mother of Mafuyu's was lying to her the whole time. I think Kanade, Mizuki and Ena are all twice the mother that Mafuyu's sorry excuse for a mother will ever be. I could tell that Mafuyu was silently yelling "IT'S TOO LATE FOR THAT NOW!" before finally bolting out the door and running away from home. I can't help but wonder what will be next for Mafuyu. Maybe she'll move away and build herself a wall to keep her mother out of her way or something. One can hope, but we never know.
Kanade was really like "Forget the umbrella."
WAIT! Everyone is talking about how Mafuyu finally escaped, and while I too am happy about that, at the end- was mafumom talking to Kanade? It didn’t seem like she was talking to mafudad. Kanade seems like the likely option, but I don’t think Kanade would do that unless Mafuyu herself said to do it. And if that is the case, that would suck. Because in this messed up and complex situation, Mafuyu STILL puts her mom’s feelings above hers. Because she is worried her mom would be worried if she didn’t tell her.
Why did this event end like this?! Now we have to wait for Ena's 4th event....

She slept in Ena's house in Inandesu event but ena's father would cause stress for ena and she doesnt know how to control anger properly
Mizuki has a clean house and their parents seems to be really supportive in everything they do so it would be best for mfy stay there

I'm excited for both the next niigo and the next vbs event, this one and light up the fire were so sad, and I felt so bad for An, and here for Mafuyu, but these events are so well written, they are definitely some of my favorites, I'm glad Mafuyu did her best to protect and stand up for what she loves, but her mom still don't understand it, she's awful! Hope everything will be okay with Mafuyu now, but with Kanade, I'm sure she will

...Seriously though, I am very proud of Mafuyu for standing up to her mother, and we FINALLY see MafuMom's true colors. I knew she'd snap eventually and here we are. Something tells me she's projecting onto her daughter; when she talks about Mafuyu becoming a doctor and not needing her friends. She clearly holds a lot of pride in her daughter's achievements which I think is bogus. Living through your kid's accomplishments, that's no way to parent. It puts them through so much stress at a young age that can actually have damaging effects on their mentality and intelligence overtime. Seriously, there's proof.
I hope for the best for Mafuyu, I really do. Let's hope MafuMom doesn't move to any... _drastic measures_ to keep control of her daughter.
Side Note: I keep hearing "Useless Child/Dekinai Ko" by Kikuo in my head thinking about this event. Dunno why. Also heard their new song might be called "Gekijou/Theater". Somebody leaked it and I thought it'd be "Gekijou Aika/Theater Elegy" by N-Buna, but not quite. Oh well.
