    Situations are different and people are different so don't apply a blanket approach. Know yourself, know your person and take it from there.

    Mommy must start her own TH-cam channel, some of us unfortunately have not witnessed our parents as husbands and wives and have no template. This is needed and is necessary.

    I like that she says forgiveness needs to be a conscious decision because ultimately you need to be accountable to yourself even when the decision you make isn’t the right one.

    Thank you so much for this video. You have no idea how much this means to me😭😭😭 .I've just came out of a 3 year relationship with my ex as I found out he was cheating on me for over a year! I did everything for him...went over and beyond for him. Without even realizing, I lost myself in the relationship and because of that created an environment for myself where he was the only person I had in my life. In my family we dont talk about feelings and stuff. It's more of a "these are my parents and siblings and we just respect each other"...so I cant talk to them. I also dont have friends as I alienated all friendships since I made my whole life about him .So after finding out and because I don't have someone to cry to or a support group to lean on, I've been battling with going back to him just so that I dont fall into a deep depressive state...especially during this lockdown state.
    So from the bottom of my heart, Thank you Thank you THANK YOU 🥰🥰🥰...this video has given me the strength to love and respect myself...not all of us have open hearted and wise women such as your mom in our lives to seek advise from. Thank you again🙏🙏🙏

      Ha 🥺❤️...
      I know you made a mistake when you left your friends... but true friendship would accept your apology .. so apologize .. do what you can ... just make sure you aren’t alone 🙏🏾❤️

    Thank you mama for sharing such wisdom. Husband and I have spoken a lot about this topic and it is harder for one to leave when married. I personally can't tolerate or stomach infidelity. When praying for a husband I begged God to not allow me to get married if he knows I will face that. I've seen how it destroys families, even when parties have been forgiven.
    Maybe my view will change with years of marriage, but wow, for now, I don't think I will stay. Not because I wouldn't love my husband but for my sanity and wellbeing.

    Do not allow marriage /relationship turn you into a living ghost. Value yourself still

    WOOOOOOOW... this is what we need to hear from our elders... Let’s break the cycle of disempowering women with phrases like “bekezela” and “monna ke selepe o a adimisanwa”... I loved everything your mom said this is absolute wisdom... “but before you forgive, you need to know what you forgiving” #bars... mommy def needs to come back...

    When it comes to cheating I believe that family background plays a big role. A man who is born in Polygamous home and his siblings follow the family trend.... It will need a very strong focused person not to follow family curse

  • @zamambomochadibane7662
    @zamambomochadibane7662 4 ปีที่แล้ว +18

    I do agree that it's not as easy to up and leave once you're married because dating is in essence inviting someone into your life/ your world and with marriage both your worlds fusing (I mean that in every way possible). You can't undo that without any loss of self and scars, it's not like velcro unfortunately. HOWEVER, I think cheating planned or unplanned happens as a result of a series of decisions. So for me, before God and man, I find cheating disrespectful and I think I would not be able to handle the betrayal. I don't think my mental health would survive it. But like your mom said in one of the points, it's individual.
    I completely agree with your mom in Jacob Zuma percentage & 70. Her views in the entire video are for me, not only right but she has really articulated them SUPERBLY. Also... she's black girl magic, married for 38 years and looking 38 all at the same time.... Girrrrrrrrrrllllllll 🔥

    Thank you mama Mazwi for such sound advice!!
    The bekezelaring concept and inappropriate use of Bible verses to push one's agenda is unfair, unloving and not Christ like.
    Indeed forgiving is a personal choice, a choice that the one who offers forgiveness would need to live by "you need to know what you are forgiving"
    Your point of view is so refreshing. Much love and be blessed!!

  • @kerotsemodingoana7107
    @kerotsemodingoana7107 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks for this Buli, thanks for sharing mom's wisdom with us ❤️ #38Years
    I agree completely with mama, everyone has their personal threshold when it comes to dealing with all kinds of things in marriage/relationships, it's your personal conviction that will make you stay or leave.
    With regards to "staying for the children" I believe children are highly intelligent and they can tell when things aren't okay, so if staying portrays a negative image of a sad mom or dad then is it really worth staying? So in as much as it is totally about you first, I think it's also important to consider the kids, maybe even have a conversation with them, to make them understand why you're making whatever decision you're making so they don't grow up carrying a burden of you staying for their sakes or wondering why you left.
