The Ecoboost 2.0L turbo is a great engine, but I would much rather prefer it to be on an AWD hatch or crossover. The Mustang is just too long and large for it. V8 is classic for the Stang.
I'm a tad disappointed with this new gen for the ecoboost specifically - it looks great but they took out the functional hood vents, side air curtains in the bumper, no paddle shifters especially is a big downer if you wanna shift yourself. Also kinda silly with the drive modes that it still shows a GT on the dash
I love this new generation of the mustang. I just picked up my new 2024 Ecoboost, 2 weeks ago with the High Performance Package and MagneRide suspension. And it drives amazing and the performance is unbelievable!
I've had 6 GTs since 2007, the most recent being a 2021. I recently bought a totally base spec 2024 Ecoboost for a daily driver, and I have to say, it is a blast to drive. What I like the most is I can drive it in Track mode at 100% like a total dummy and throw it around easily. Over the years I have come to appreciate the fun of driving a car to it's max potential vs driving one at 50% of its potential. This is why cars like the Miata are so great... the whole more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow thing. Although, the Ecoboost is far from slow. Not saying I wouldn't buy another GT sometime, but for now, this Ecoboost is a real bargain and a hell of a lot of fun for $33k.
I would take the eco-boost over the Supra, but I think if I was going the way of a Mustang, I would have to try and stretch my budget and get the iconic GT. If I was buying a sports car today, I would have a hard time passing up the value and fun to be had in the BRZ with the 6 speed.

What’s up Joe! I have an 06 GT obviously much older specs but it’s still strong! I used to bash on people who drive anything other than a v8 but I’m now looking for a daily and I think this might be it lol!
The V8 makes it to 60 in only 3/10 of a second faster than the four cylinder. I’ll take the ecoboost with 8 more miles a gallon and get to my destination a few milliseconds later.
I prefer the interior setup of my 2017 EcoBoost. I can't deal with a/c, etc adjustments on the screen while driving. It's a great daily driver. Since I'm a female I have small friends and can easily have one in the back seat on the passenger side.
My 22 Ecoboost is a 6 speed, not having that option in this year’s model is making it hard to decide now if I want to trade it in 😭 because it’s just not as fun driving an automatic
I wish Ford would still offer the manual transmission for the boosted Four. It almost sounds like the Mach 5 when you open it up. I'm still debating with myself on the Bronze package. Stripes? Leave em off! No guac would be on any screen of mine because there would be no eating in my car. But, a bottle of Aquafina or Mountain Valley Water will be OK. Should fit in the cup holders. And if you're careful, a bottle of Winn Dixie Check ✔️ Cola will be fine. At least the 2024 Mustang is better than Roger Waters' "Dark Side Of The Moon" Redux.

They just did not sell many
That is the biggest reason I am not getting a 2024 ecoboost. I have a 2023 ecoboost 10 speed automatic with no paddle shifters. It is not a fun driving experience.
YOU MEAN OLD SLOW TRASH MANUAL CARS 😂 NOW AUTOMATIC CARS 100 TIMES MORE FASTER
@@ALBERT-EMAH Yes you are correct that automatics are quicker. With a manual it isn't about speed, it is about fun. You can have more fun in everyday driving, staying within the speed limits in a manual Miata compared to an automatic Hellcat.
@@ALBERT-EMAHbut, just one problem with automatics. THEY ARE BOOORRRINNG! to drive, I own a automatic mustang. It's fucking boring to drive.
Wouldn't buy one but 315 HP is not bad at all. That's 90 more HP than my first new car, which was a 1988 5.0L Mustang with only 225 HP. And almost it's twice as much as my wife's 2017 Fiat Spider 1.4L Turbo @ 160 HP. So they did OK there. Fake vents is a HUGE zonk. Manufacturers need to stop this crap.
Someone needs to provide aftermarket vents that look nice. Anyone ?
That is so very true!
Nice review i just purchased a 2024 Vapor Blue eco boost with the Nite Pony package and the Active Valve Performance package
Thinking of getting the exact same build, how do you like it?
Auto stop start in a sport car or muscle car is completely stupid. Auto stop start should be obolished completely in all car cuz it doesn't halp anything
I think they should put a 5.0 in it without the badges….love sleepers. The stripes are a little strange to me …….and why can’t the air box be level ? Lol ! The engines today are so sloppy looking……wires and plumbing just running all over, not routed neatly
Very good points!
They yanked the engine straight out of the Explorer so it has the same goofy airbox layout
That will be the Bullitt
I always wanted the Ecoboost Mustang, sadly GM didn't do Sh*t with the Camaro Turbo 4, if Chevy had a more interesting Turbo 4 Camaro I might have bought 1
Anything gm sucks so good luck 😂 and their ecotech are already upgradable dude , someone didn't do their research lol
Zz performance makes a lot of parts for them
@@cormaro13 🤡
I had a 1989 mustange with a 4 cylinder 2.3 loved it
Thanks for the great review as always! I drove a Convertible Eco Boost Black as a Service car 2 days ago because my 2022 BMW X2 was in the schedule maintenance! and yes, it was great , fun and I like it! And my 91 years old mom love it too. 😂😂😂🔥🔥🔥🔥💪💪💪💪💪👋👋👋👋👋
What’s up Joe! I have an 06 GT obviously much older specs but it’s still strong! I used to bash on people who drive anything other than a v8 but I’m now looking for a daily and I think this might be it lol!
After market frost grip pedals are nice
The V8 makes it to 60 in only 3/10 of a second faster than the four cylinder. I’ll take the ecoboost with 8 more miles a gallon and get to my destination a few milliseconds later.
Sure… but quarter mile times differ…and the sound makes all the difference
@@mykelhendrix949eh, you can buy different pipes.
Got mine finally, love it 🙏
Does it need 93 octane to get the 315 hp like the previous model?
Great question
I think with the 2024 Ford recommends 87? I haven't looked too much into it, just what I've heard.
Probably
Yes all turbo cars love higher octane ford advertised 315hp on 93
@@Dwayneffu can run 87 but with it will lower the timing so u would be run in lower boost
On throttle 🗣️🎸🔥🔥
Heck yeah
I prefer the interior setup of my 2017 EcoBoost. I can't deal with a/c, etc adjustments on the screen while driving. It's a great daily driver. Since I'm a female I have small friends and can easily have one in the back seat on the passenger side.
Ordered a GT but you posted this so I have to watch 👌
That is so nice of you to watch.
i just got mine a week ago and its amazing
I like the new mustang it’s pretty cool
Picked up my special ordrer performace pck with Brembro brakes. Kiiller car! I drove a 91 GT back in the day
I learned to drive in a 1979 four-cylinder turbocharged Mustang named Kyler.
My 22 Ecoboost is a 6 speed, not having that option in this year’s model is making it hard to decide now if I want to trade it in 😭 because it’s just not as fun driving an automatic
I would keep yours.
@@RaitisRides yessir, I ain’t hard headed and I got it 0 miles
Thank you. What I need is a black one for reference and now I have something to look at before buying. I'm from Vietnam. like you❤❤❤❤
Looks cool
I’m am glad that you are digging this one
Had mine for a month, with 1k already. The car not a bad car but I could have picked up a used ss for the same price, alittle disappointed with the spoilers alswell. Just looks like flat in the back. But overall I love the car and will eventually switch it in for a gt.
I remember when the Cobra had 305 horsepower.
Boy, have things changed for sure!
Hell I remember when it had 180HP 😂
I like the full dash screen
I am so glad to hear that Mark!
4:40 - A hood with a badge of a bulge is a smart visual trick...
can u make ecoboost convertible review??
The new mustang ecoboost apparently can get to 60 in 4.5 seconds, according to multiple sights like car and driver. That is plenty fast for me. I don’t need any more power than that.
U do actually lol
9:49 zonk exhaust. Like motorcycle
This is my go to, when my Stinger Gtline lease is up. And I agree with you. I like digital screens but integrated into the console, I don’t like the tablet look. I like my 23 Stinger Gtline, but this sounds and seems more engaging. Might buy the Stinger tho idk.
I traded a 2015 Ecoboost 50th anniversary edition for a Stinger GT. Needed a year round car to handle snow
