Wow to be so close and not go. One of my favorite cities on the planet. Also be like Kacey and have a partner in crime, it will be a more fun experience. Kacey has a cool travel buddy and makes all the difference. I speak a little Japanese, that also opens up a lot more doors. However being from Texas as well, not sure how that drawl comes out in Japanese?

That looked like an amazing trip! The way back looked a bit ruff but this is the exact type of thing to have done while you are young.

Great video. I use to travel for business to Japan in the second half of the 80s and we based ourselves out of Tokyo. Your video brought back so many great memories. Ironically, I never hit up a chain restaurant. Went to a number of I guess you would call them specialty restaurants like the would only serve tempura as an example. Also went down to Fuji City often and the places we stayed in Fuji City made your AirBnB look positively roomie. Just like you, I would get up around 4 AM and go walk around the city. One of my favorite place to go in Tokyo was the Emperor’s Palace. Beautiful grounds. Glad you had a good time. Thx for posting.

I was in the Air Force stationed in Japan for 2 years. My first year I traveled with another Airman all over. The train service is really great except for rush hour. This was a great place to be stationed during the Vietnam war. the exchange for money was 360 yen to the American dollar. The memory of this place will forever be in my mind

Kacey, tokyo is where I grow up and I know all of the places that you went. It’s funny you guys started your trip from LAS using their special flight to NRT. I live Las Vegas.

Japan🇯🇵 is extremely amazing. Taking the subway in Tokyo is the cheapest and easiest way to get around, as long as you know your line to and from the hotel. I like the Tsukiji Market. I had good lunch there, especially fresh sashimi with rice. I like the grilled scallop too.

Tokyo just looks so fun and first class is just awesome! Definitlely on my bucket list lol, just like visiting Tokyo. Btw, I don't know if you were aware, but those American fast food chains tend to have some different items in Asia that aren't available here in the states, so it may be worth a try the next time you get a chance to visit again.

Very very cool...hope to get there one day. I'm nervous about non-revving internationally. OMG...a jump seat for your return. Glad you got on though. Interesting accomodations you guys had. Great sushi there I'm told. My son's wife is Japanese and they go there a lot to visit her family. He wanted us to join him on his visit there in Nov but we declined. Now i regret it. We should have went with them. Your video is great.

Good idea to fly to Tokyo from Las Vegas on the CES flight and not the other way around. I'm sure there were plenty of J class seats available.
Excellent video. Tokyo looks so colorful. They have lots of stuff that hasn't made it to the USA yet. Sushi place looked amazing. How are prices compared to Dallas?
Try getting on public transportation in china town in San Francisco! OMG. Say, a bus. You’re Squeezed in. No room. Claustrophobic big time! The driver literally pushes you in so the doors can close. Crazy nuts. At the next stop, even though the bus is full, MORE people get on!! Now try getting off when the bus stops! Good luck. A tourist from Germany was turning pale from anxiety needing to get off immediately. I know what you were taking about, Kacey. This happens in Hong Kong too. Not sure about Japan though.

Now, the world can be a nasty crazy place out there, we need a lot of courage and we need a lot of resilience after that, and we will fall down before we stand up… What really matters is the silence of the night in our conscience, when we are alone. We cannot control what happens but we can use what happens. We have so much reserves of love and support inside us, if we can just remember that in our mind and move on.

You answered my question , however if it was a triple 7 they have beds so you can sleep I wondered why it was not offered to you or that since you were not working that trip it was reserved for working employees . That jump seat must have been hell for,that length of time .

If I every become a flight attendant, I want to be based out of Las Vegas because it seems like on your days off you could find a direct flight to almost anywhere.
I bet LA has an even bigger selection. I can't live in LA, the place is WAY too much fun and I wind up in trouble lol

I was just thinking how great that is to travel with a buddy like this. I laughed so hard when I saw your conveyor meal arrive...that's too funny...although its pain free to order, arrives quick and is accurate I guess. You guys are really brave trying all those foods....wow! Too bad your trip home was on a jump seat Kacey.....that's a long way. Hope you're both feeling good since you came home.....thanks for taking us with you guys!♥

Nice vid, seems like you guy's enjoyed Tokyo, except for some of the food... The daifuku is just rice that is smashed with sugar, it is a very common dessert item in Japan. They make a lot of desserts out of rice as it is their staple, maybe some people need to acquire a taste for it.

Tsukiji (sue-key-gee) is probablyone of the places i want to visit when I'm able to visit Japan.
You should definitely go back one day and visit Kyoto.
As for the sweets, you'd be surprised. If you are able, ask locals (they might be more than happy to!) for their recommendations. You should definitely try as many of the KitKat flavors Japan has to offer.
