I'm in Greece right now and can so relate to everything in your video! The clear alcohol was probably 'Tsipouro' unless it smelled like aniseed in which case it was 'Ouzo'.

I remember while I was in elementary school going to the Acropolis for field trips. It was so fun. Oh, I suspect the clear liquid left behind on your last airBnb is retsina. It’s powerful but so smooth and relaxing. I finally got to have it when I was in my 20s. It has the kick like vodka but a bit stronger. I miss the days when I lived in Greece. The apartment we lived in was next to the old Athens International Airport. It was in the suburb of Glyfada. Thank you for showing Greece. You and Sidney take care.

Oh we love Athens. (3:13) You got the sign of the hotel we stayed in (Royal Olympic); you must have been nearby. Nice area and so convenient. Loved your comment on 'digestives'. (aka wafer type cookies in the UK). Those little differences in languages can be fun (we ordered a sausage biscuit in Ireland and should have seen the look on the girl's face - sausage what???? Of course biscuits to them are cookies). Mykonos looked nice, but we'll leave that to you youngsters. Crete is more our style (laid back, less of a nightlife party place (though there are plenty of late night places to hang out), and less cruise day trippers). Glad you enjoyed. Oh that was Ouzo I bet. You get a shot of that just about every restaurant after dinner. I pass on it. Hope you get back to Greece at some point.

The clear liquid with shot glasses was probably Ouzo anise flavored aperitif. Our equivalent to Jaegermeister. Recognized the same areas of Mykonos. Love Greece

Beautiful city, dinner in the square below looking up at the Acropolis is something. I love the streets of Mykonos, did you walk to the top of the island. The islands are expensive as everything is brought in by boat. A that aside it is a beautiful Country. Grappa, that stuff is insane.

You guys appear to be budget travellers.. Mykonos is expensive but you do get what you pay for... the absolute best... and that is the Mykonos experience...
Is that really the first time you have seen a "Digestive" cookie? You can get those all over Europe (especially in England). Nothing to do with digestion, just a mildly sweet cookie to have with tea.

Was it ouzo? When I was overseas the last thing I remember was yelling "another bottle of ouzo." to our waiter. I made it out alive but sure didn't feel like it.
