My wife and I just got back from Tokyo. We are terrible planners and didn’t have anything planned out. We found this video a couple of days before we left and decided to try it out. Thanks for the tips, it definitely gave us a vacation to remember.
I completely understand where you're coming from! My partner and I often find ourselves in the same boat when it comes to planning trips. It’s great to know that even with last-minute decisions, you can still have an unforgettable experience. Videos like these are a lifesaver for spontaneous travelers. Thanks for sharing your story-it’s encouraging to know that sometimes the best trips are the ones that aren’t overly planned!

Japan is #1 on my bucket list of countries to visit. This is a great itinerary list, and many of the places you listed I already have on mine. Thanks for the awesome advice! It makes me even more hyped for my eventual trip.
I was in Japan(Tokyo, Osaka etc etc) few days ago for 11 days and we were extensively using Suica. The app was downloaded to our Apple iPhone wallet and we used extensively for metro train trips and purchasing stuff from shops and wending machines. Just top it up from your bank account as required. It`s pretty easy to use especially at the train stations just show/tap your mobile phone. Japan is a wonderful and very clean country. We live in Australia. Thanks for the video.
Good option for iphone users, I dont think there is an alternative for android yet still. But the Suica cards are coming back now as well which is good because people seem to enjoy them a souvenirs
tbh i would avoid kabukicho it's really dirty and there's not much there. definitely visit shibuya and asakusa they give you 2 entirely different experiences of tokyo old and new.
Always depends what you're into, the new kabukicho tower is a pretty cool little place with games, food and drink with a very cool neon aesthetic, personally though since its neighboring golden gai I think thats the best place to grab a drink with the locals
I fully agree escaping Tokyo to visit Yokohama is a great choice. Chinatown is amazing, Gundam Factory is awesome too. Thank you so much for shouting out Odaiba. I feel like too many people sleep on that location. It’s truly a beautiful place to walk around both day and night with lots of shops and restaurants to checkout. I approve this 5-day guide 😅

My wife and I are making this our guide for our own 5-day trip to Tokyo end-Sep 2024. Thank you for your video! Do you have any suggested hotels based on your itinerary?
I don't have any hotels in particular to recommend, pretty much every hotel i've been in Japan was great (if not small) and never really had a bad one. There are some unique hotels in Tokyo however, though I have not been there personally I heard Hotel Chinzanso is really cool because have an artificial sea of clouds garden that is incredible to walk around

Another nice video! I'm leaving for Japan on 10/31 (missing Halloween in both places) and spending half of my time wandering around Kyushu. I'll even visit the elusive Saga Prefecture. I've been to all 47 but all I did in Saga in the past was use the Family Mart bathroom.
Really like those prototype pants. Switching to wearing high waisted trousers has really improved my style and my confidence as well but where on earth do you get high rise underwear to go underneath???
Yo! Travelling to Japan in late Jan-Feb 2024: Any recommendations for the winter (Unfortunately not going north of the Kanto region)... and potentially any warnings for what to avoid or be careful of during the winter :)
Nagano and Gifu are amazing in Winter, great skii / snowboard spots & you can sit in the outdoor hot springs as the snow falls. If you have tattoos you can get banned from some Hot Springs but there are many that accept people with them too, specifically in Kusatsu & Kinosaki Onsen
There are many problems in the video that don't show any kind of logistics, for example Yoyogi Park and Meiji Jingu are in Shibuya City ,then why on the first night of the trip you suggest us go to Shibuya Scramble Crossing, furthermore on the third day's afternoon, you suggest us to go to Shibuya Scramble Crossing again?
No everyone arrives in Tokyo in the morning but there is usually at least a late afternoon or evening on your first day so to make use of that its a fun first thing to see the scramble but not enough time necessarily to see yoyogi / meiji. I dont think I suggested seeing the scramble again on day three, are you sure you're not confused?
@@InakaAdventure the reason for my confusion is that on the third day before you suggest us to go to tokyo tower, you suggest us going to somewhere near the CROSSING, and probably because of that, I thought these places are the same lol

We have 10 days to spend in Japan next year. Is it recommended to visit Mt. Fuji? Do you know how much it cost.? We have family of 4 2 adults 2 teenage) or it’s better to experience just to stay Tokyo and skip Mt.Fuji. Thanks in advance.
That really depends on what you mean, and what time of year it is. Do you want to climb Mt Fuji or see it up close? You can see Fuji from Tokyo if it's the cooler months with low humidity, or you could visit Kawaguchi-ko and see it up close, that would cost about ¥2,500 yen per person and would take about 2 hours from Tokyo.
@@InakaAdventure we will be in Japan the end of May and will for 10 days. What’s the best thing for us to do? Just stay in Tokyo or go to Mt. Fuji one full day and back to our hotel in Tokyo? I have reservation in APA Hotel and resort in Eki tower. Is this a good hotel to be in? Thank you so much.
When staying in Tokyo you need to experience its crazy NIGHTLIFE! And you can see that in my new video here: th-cam.com/video/0h97ZAyANC4/w-d-xo.html

Enjoyed your video very much. One of my favorite places to stay is behind Shibuya where the embassies are, with plenty of privacy but $$$.
Im headed up to Tokyo soon again actually, might check it out thanks for the tip !
@@InakaAdventure Another great area is DAIKANYAMA T-SITE between Shibuya and Meguro. Look it up. Enjoy!
Mate, have you ever considered audio books? Your voice is heavenly
Indeed I have
🤩🤩🤩 Lovely 🤩 🤩 🤩
Another nice video! I'm leaving for Japan on 10/31 (missing Halloween in both places) and spending half of my time wandering around Kyushu. I'll even visit the elusive Saga Prefecture. I've been to all 47 but all I did in Saga in the past was use the Family Mart bathroom.
Dont think ive been to Saga yet, I think i was planning to go to an island around there though
I recommend you all fly in at Haneda airport (HND) it’s much closer to the city
Good advice if you have the option!
Inaka ,Do you know anything about Nanking Massacre? And Unit 731?
How many people know about this history?
Omg this is so helpful thank you
Happy to help
I’ll be in Tokyo for 4 days in late January. Are the gardens worth going to in the winter?
Might be snowing which would be a great time to see them
Really like those prototype pants.
😂 I saw Captain Jack Sparrow in the crowd 0:10
Yep thats japanese johnny
I love Tokio!
Good question, i always avoid to cross the city and pick 1 area per day
Seriously..... this is GOOD SOLID advice! MAX APPROVED!!🥒🥒🥒🥒🥒
Cheers Max, glad these arent bent
Thanks for the video. May i know where can you recommend to go during winter in Tokyo?
Since its a city destination is mostly the same all year round. You might get some snow in winter and see illuminations though
Does the ICOCA card still exist as can’t seem to find the app?
Apps on Iphone only and still exists
Thank you for your video,Iwill visit in tokeyo,i can use other local travel cards in tokeyo.this video most helpfull my journy.I will go for 5 days visit tokeyo.absolutly must visit kabukicho.❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hope you have a great trip!
Thanks for all these travel ideas! I‘m visiting Japan in summer and i thought the suica card on my iphone wallet is enough to take the metro in tokyo, osaka and kyoto. Is that right? Or do I need a physical one? Thank you :)
The suica on iPhone is enough for everything
