Fun video, Kacey. Your sister can work as an interpreter. The pay is phenomenal. When I lived overseas, I did freelance work translating English to Norwegian, and Norwegian to English. She can also teach English in Spanish speaking countries. Or, do what you do!

It's great that you and Pup get to spend time together. I think the last year of college is stressful as everyone needs to figure out what they want to do when they grow-up. Maybe pup should be a flight attendant while she is young and single.

If I had language skills and any international-related major that's where I would apply. I worked got to know a couple of State Department guys and they all said it's a great place to work. Hard to get into, challenging job, but great chances to travel and live overseas and good salary/benefits. When I say hard to get into though...the Foreign Service is a beast and requires you to travel to DC for some very difficult assessments. Plus there's a whole reading list...you'll basically feel like you're in a high-stakes college all over again. It's also pretty common for people not to get selected on their first go through the process.
Alternatively, work for Department of Homeland Security. Federal work isn't glamorous and you won't get rich, but it's very steady and has good benefits. DHS is always looking for Spanish speakers...especially in the LE arms like CBP and US Border Patrol. I have a lot of friends in Border Patrol, very difficult and taxing job, but they desperately need people to help secure the southern border and protect both US citizens and migrants.
Our country needs more people to enter into national service. There's too many people that are just focused on themselves nowadays and won't go into fields like law enforcement, military, teaching or foreign service.
Why didn't you change rooms in Cancun?
I remembered when y’all moved Pup in to the dorm! 😢 I’m not sure if she would be interested, but I’ve had several friends with international business degrees take positions with the Secret Service and FBI. 🕵🏻♀️

Tomorrow is her last day here. I can’t even imagine what this amazing sweet, loving family is going through thank God for their faith I mean that literally and every other way, thank god because otherwise it’s too much it’s just too much.
It is actually painful to watch this just now. At some point in the future, I'm sure it'll be comforting, but just at the moment I cannot cope; it's just too too sad. My heart goes out to the Cassady family, particularly the parents. I know from personal experience how difficult it is to process something this. I've been thinking about Pup almost continuously since I first heard this dreadful news only a day or two ago. Such a tragedy. The fragility of life.

Next time you go to Cancun, stay at the Royal Sands. Spend the extra, it worth it. Pup could be a flight attendant and you could buddy bid.
