Ever since I got into performance cars, getting on a track, pushing the car and improving my own driving abilities is something that I really enjoy! With that said, going to track days all the time isn't something that I'm able to do, not to mention it can get very expensive. So, to fill in the gaps and get some practice in, I decided to buy a pretty nice racing simulator! In this video I give you a tour of my current setup, whether or not I think it was worth it and show it all in action with some gameplay! Funny enough I just got my Logitech G29 2 weeks ago and I’ve been loving it! Especially with the manual gearbox option with the shifter. Do you know how to drive manual Josh?

GT sport isn't a bad start but given the quality of the rig you have, Assetto Corsa or iRacing would be an amazing experience with that hardware. GT sport is pretty arcade-like in the way it handles compared to some of those other games on the market
Great video! Is it possible for you to drive one of your cars in your garage on Gran Turismo and explain in detail how it feels in the simulator as compared to real world driving? As in how good of a job the simulator does or doesn’t do when compared to actual driving.
I've actually done that with a few cars on here already, and I can tell you that there's definitely a familiarity to the real thing, but does it feel exactly the same, no. You can get a pretty good sense of how a car handles, but ultimately there's nothing like the real thing IMO.

Josh, couple of things. You made me spend thousands in boots over the years on boots but I stopped to buy sim gear. Your rig, even though it’s PS specific, does work on PC. That being said, hook it up to a PC, get iRacing, Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competiozone and the new Automobolista 2. GT sport is great but those others I mention are more sim popular

Why not invest on a more expensive pc that gives you more frames? And you could use pc to do many other stuff that console cannot do.

Love the simulator content, personally I find F1 Sim racing the most entertaining, also the camera angle for the gameplay should be more focused on the steering wheel and less of a wide shot(in my opinion) , or you could choose to do a face shot as well, love the quarantine content!
Have you tried iRacing? Hands down the best sim in my opinion.

You should start making sim racing videos
Setup is awesome. But from having GT Sport myself and putting nearly 40,000 miles into the game you should do the following.
Turn off traction control.
Learn the brake bias.
Buy the Porsche 911 RSR GT3 because that's the most consistent race car you'll get a perfect feel for the game and mechanics. Do the endurance races on career mode also as it'll teach you consistency. Finally, maybe an open lobby around EU time?
I only ever play with everything off.

Gran Turismo is a video game. If you want a simulator that will make you a better driver get a subscription to iRacing. I believe RFactor is an okay one as well. If you actually race on iRacing there's a chance you'll be driving against a true pro driver. Be careful though......incidents when not just practicing do count against you.

I'm not much of a traveller/vacation guy, but that is something that I definitely want to do one day!
Host a GT Sport Lobby with small giveaways, possible details: weekly or biweekly, have some small prizes like ~$50 gift card to sim racing products, pick a class and DR for each weeks race. Use lobby and make it invite only that you post the code to on insta? Or the channel. Just an idea engage and giveback to viewers. And prizes don’t have to be big but $25-50 gift cards to sim or real car after market sites would be awesome

Gran Turismo is realistic in terms of competition, but if you are looking for the ultimate experience in terms of driving, buy Asseto Corsa for PS4. Let's say that if you feel X sensations with Gran Turismo while turning, you'll feel X + 20 with Asseto Corsa in the same turn. With no assists, it imakes you a much better driver, feeling the real weight of the car.

Damn. Buying a fanatec DD1 just to play GTS is like buying a Ferrari just to drive off your drive. It’s a pretty poor game in terms of simulation. Try Assetto Corsa and Assetto Corsa Comptizione. The physics and sound are on another level, as are the laser scanned tracks.
No way you have this insane setup but you are stuck playing 1080p 60 fps on a PS4... You gotta join the PC master race😂

Ive never used a simulator before. For me its hard to believe that a simulator can even get close to driving a real car on the track. Maybe im wrong though. 🤔
When it's a cheap setup, yes, there's very little that translates to actual driving because you can't feel anything. When you get into some of the more expensive stuff, there's a surprising amount of detail that comes through the wheel especially. Feeling the actual forces of driving a car on track can't be simulated in something like this, but I definitely think that you can get some solid practice in when it comes to a lot of track specific driving skills.
Well if a Formula 1 driver can use a simulator as a way to practice for an event then I dont think theres need for much debate
You're not wrong, but they also use million dollar simulators for setup and development, so I wouldn't really compare that to a setup like this. Can you learn certain skills on a simulator, absolutely, but being in a real car is quite a bit different.
Bro buy Assetto Corsa, not assetto corsa competizione, just Assetto Corsa it will be more realistic. Try it out and make a video on it, please.
