    First track day of the year and the first time on track for my Alfa Romeo 4C! In this video I give you POV perspective of a full lapping session at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in my modified Alfa Romeo 4C. The car ran great in general, but there are definitely some setup improvements to be made, along with a few other mods that the car could benefit from. If you'd like more track day content, please let me know!

    Looks like a fun track and a great tool for the job! One suggestion, since track video is sort of my bread & butter: one addition you might consider is running some data. Even if it's just a phone app like RaceChrono Pro or TrackAddict, you could generate speed/laptime overlays pretty easily and, since all of your cars are OBDII, you could use a bluetooth adapter to get gear, throttle, brake, and RPM data as well. Great for video, also useful self-coaching tools. 'Hope to see more in the future!

    Nicely done sir.... Enjoy the 4C! Make the girl dance, she can do it very nicely. Balanced & smooth inputs and you can easily get her to slide anyway you want.

    I like your 4C, I didn’t even know the car existed but you definitely changed my mind on the idea of cool looking cars compared to fun cars, why pay so much more when you can a car with less power but zips around quickly and also very cool full carbon boxed interior.

    Awesome I live 30 minutes from the track, so cool! What lap times were you running man?

    • @carproblems8547
      @carproblems8547  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      My best lap was a 1:41.21, but as you can see in the video, I rolled off throttle down the front straight trying to let someone pass. Breaking into the 1:30s was possible on that lap. Next time.

    I live in Ontario (Durham) , how much is it for the 8 laps? I feel like it was mad expensive lol 😬 20 minutes of fun shouldn’t be over like $300ish I feel (I’m being generous there)

      It usually costs roughly between $525 to $700 for the whole day (9am - 5pm). Price varies depending on which track day you attend as well as which skill level group you drive in. Your skill level group gets 20 minutes of driving at a time with an alternating schedule between groups. Lunch included in price! Car Problems, hopefully I will see you this season in the paddock to say hi. Bring out the Perf!... 250km/h on the straight with the Lambo.

    If the cars already heavily modified you've probably already looked here but if you need any suspension setup idea, alfaworkshop in the UK have developed a few really highly rated kits for the 4C, looks great though!

    Old school, unforgiving track. Watched a lot of racing here. Did you chat with Ron Fellows?
    The one I always wanted to drive was Mont Tremblant.
    Not bad.......quite clean. Hitting the apexes okay but I'd get turned in a bit earlier/quicker with the hands for 1, 2, 2nd apex of hairpin and final turn. Your right front tire should be right next to that second apex and hard to power from there. You'll carry more speed onto straight where so much lap time comes from. The exit of hairpin is most important on this track. Get comfortable going all the way out to the exit curb and using the whole track, especially out of the double apex hairpin. Drive it out there if you have to. Get used to how it feels. Not sure about your elbow angle but it should be between 45 & 60 degrees......give you better feel and control and you won't get as tired.
    Is that tires squealing coming off last turn or the turbski?
    Was this in the advanced group? What organization?
    Are there any other tracks near you?
    I don't like this view.......it's aimed too low and steering wheel getting in the way too much.

    Assuming you did an HPDE day, what are the rules or passing other cars? All the ones I attend here in the states require a "point-by".

    • @carproblems8547
      @carproblems8547  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Rules are standard for pretty much any track day. There are certain passing zones on the track, all of which require a point by, either with your arm or with a signal. Nothing too complicated. You just have to be aware of what's going on behind you.

    • @carproblems8547
      @carproblems8547  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's just part of it. Some cars/drivers will be faster than you and you'll be faster than others. My attitude with passing is to leave some space and wait for the signal to pass and if I'm the one being passed, I'll slow up slightly and let them by as soon as it's safe to do so. Nobody likes being held up.
