- We like Huracáns here at Top Gear. They have the looks, the handling, and the noise. But what they don't have, despite most of them being 4WD, is the ability to drive down a really bumpy backroad at speed - until now.
Welcome to the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato, a rally-ready raging bull that very well could be the greatest Huracán ever. To make it capable off-road Lamborghini have added reinforced bumpers and side skirts, all-terrain tyres, skidplates, an inlet scoop at the top of the rear windscreen, chunky bolt-on wheelarches and increased the ride height by 44mm over a standard EVO.
The engine itself is - as expected - a 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10 as per the standard Huracán RWD, meaning an easy and reliable 600bhp and 413lb ft of torque, with a redline at 8,700rpm. There’s a dedicated engine tune for Sterrato, but seeing as that maximum torque figure isn’t achieved until six-and-a-half-grand, you’ll still have to rev it. Not usually a problem, seeing as that V10 at above 8,500rpm should be registered as an aural national treasure.

All cars are pushing to be more luxurious than they have to be when all we want is a barebones driving machine. there’s no reason why, these discontinued cars, couldn’t have zero options models (no radio, no special materials, no heated seats/steering wheel) so actual enthusiast and the target audience can afford these evos and STI that go for over 35k. When they could be easily 25k with all the performance and zero luxury.

This is an underrated comment, so much of the world lacks the perfect roads needed for traditional super cars but this solves that problem.

@@StuntpilootStef first off all you have to do is change the tires if you want to go over 200 mph or stop and drive it on a true dirt road at 160 mph.
I remember the India of the early nineties, regular folks rode bicycles or mopeds. Taxis were all Ambassadors and the affordable car was a Maruti. But should you ever become an internet-millionaire I would love to see your YT video of you crossing the Rajastani deserts in your Lamborghini Sterrato.

Top Speed will be limited by off-road tires, in fact, the new 911 Darkar is limited to just 149 mph due to it's off-road tires. I believe the Sterrato has a top speed of 160 mph due to it's specific tires.

I think it's cool, the V10 gives it incomparable cool points too cuz who doesn't love a V10 but I believe the 911 Dakar is more capable and that just makes it cooler I mean it's not a Landcruiser but the things it can do for what it is...... mindblowing
Looks cool. Only thing I'd change are the wheels and tires. Maybe 17 or 18" tops. With a bit fatter tires.

I think this whole craze of giving luxury or performance vehicles off road ability was started by Jeremy Clarkson making The Exellent, then the MFB
As someone that works in auto-paint and body repair, if you bring a Lambo to my shop after driving like a nutter down gravel roads, expect an extremely painful bill of service delivered by a man with an enormous smile on his face.
And I would just fix and paint it like any normal paint work. Charge normal like a regular human. But that’s just me and I’ve done up to helicopters before 🤷♂️ what do I know

Not sure about rallying in this, but as an everyday beater supercar - awesome! Love that Porsche as well. Off road supercars? Bring it on! Although I still wait for a more off roady stuff like Italdesign Parcour/Audi Nanouk, just a notch or two more than that lambo, that is.

You can only make so many "extreme track editions" before they start to be played out and boring. I really love Porsche and Lambo going the other way, and making badass off-road rally type specs for these supercars; very cool.

@@StuntpilootStef I said it's a street car that can also race. Not a race car. Also, believe it or not, rally cars do not have high road clearance. It's different from off-roading that trucks do. The skid plate is the important part.
