- It’s time for two incredible off-roading supercars to go head-to-head… On tarmac?!
We’ve finally got our hands on the Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato, and it’s lining up for a drag race against the Porsche 911 Dakar!
So let’s see how these two compare. Starting with the Lambo, it’s based on the original Huracan, so it comes equipped with the same 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10, which in this instance can produce 610hp and 560Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 7-speed automatic gearbox, and it tips the scales at 1,470kg (however, this is the dry weight - we think the real weight is closer to 1,600kg!).
But of course, being an off-roading supercar, there are a few more changes over the normal Huracan! It also comes with a load of body cladding, off-roading tyres, as well as lifted suspension.
Next up we have the Porsche. It’s powered by a 3-litre twin-turbo flat-six which can put down 480hp and 570Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed PDK gearbox, and it weighs in at 1,605kg. Just like the Lambo, it’s also fitted with proper off-roading tyres.
So the Lambo has more power, but will that be enough to beat Porsche’s incredible launch control system? There’s only one way to find out for sure… LET’S RACE!

I think the sterato's front massive led lights are pretty cool ...gives it more of a "ready for anything" off-road feel. And in its defence u can actually choose to not have them while customising the car at the site for purchase

Yeah, like Sam said, it was in Rally mode earlier, which is to be used in looser surfaces, so no point in putting max power down. He simply switched it to Sport or Sport Plus which made all the difference in the world. Still, awesome performance by Porsche even with less HP as always.

In terms of looks, the Porsche for me; that Rothman's style paint scheme looks fabulous, and fair play to Racing Driver Sam, he did a great job of helping the Porsche bridge the power gap to the Lambo. CarWow's Tame Racing Driver did good.
I honestly thought that was a wrap by the owner, so cool to see that it's an OEM nod to the Rothman's livery.

That was once again a great, exciting, competent presentation of two dream cars. By the way, giving the 911 a turbo was a wonderful idea. Maybe Porsche will think about it. I'm really looking forward to the off-road comparison. A question for the team: How about a comparison test of classics from the 1960s, for example: VW Type 3, Alfa-Romeo Giulia, Renault 8, BMW 1500, Citroën Ami 6, Peugeot 404, Ford Capri/Taunus. They didn't take turbo (s) engine because of fuel economy. 3.8 eats a lot

Wow the Sterrato is one crazy offroad huracan, I didn't expect it to beat the porsche that badly though.
It didn't beat the 911 that badly tho,i don't know why ,but for me,the Hurracan underperforms......Maybe i was expecting too much for the power difference
0.2 seconds is lame for an extra 130 hp. You seem to be watchin a very different video lmao. If anything it is, the 911 dakar was the better performing vehicle

You should have done the test over 3-5 autocros laps to see which is better. Makes sense considering the looks.
