HI Jenny, I am a transplanted Vancouverite living in Nova Scotia and working in Guyana. I love your videos, they feel like my necessary fix of West Coast life. Keep up the awesome storytelling!
Dear Jenny, I was fortunate enough to travel the USA and Canada for over 30 years. Retired now and living in Texas and I must say, the view from your office is some of the most beautiful country there is. And your videography is second to none. I'm catching up on your previous videos and loving every one of them. The sound of your voice, your style and grace, puts me in a state of relaxation that we all need these days. That's the only way I can describe it. Thank you for sharing a glimpse into your world. It looks like a lot of work but the benefits look like it's worth it. Thanks again, Rick
Hi Rick, thank you so much for sharing your story and I’m so glad you’re enjoying the videos. The view from the kitchen is extraordinary. I also enjoy watching relaxing videos, so I guess it just came naturally to me to make them that way. Thanks again take care.
Many thanks Jenny. Your videos make my day and make my week! I’m so happy to see your channel growing slowly but surely as people become more aware of your great content from this magical place. Here’s a gift from this displaced BC boy. Cheers…
Your shot of the Aurora Borealis (starting at time slot 0:10:30) and then, the streaks of the (apparent) circular paths of the stars around the pole, is truly magnificent and mesmerizing. You have such talent - both with your shots and editing...
Nice to see you enjoying and maintaining the knifes. The Channel is growing good. It has many Topics of interest in it. It should be showing up on a lot of searches. I hope you can convey to Tony how much I appreciate him allowing us to enjoy his family home and big Thanks!
Hi it’s Leg less Norm thanks for making the Videos means a lot to me with 20 years of working in a lot of camps 8 in sport’s fishing camps and on ships as bases for sports fishing please keep making them
Hi Jenny I am a retired chef on the Island and I enjoy your professional vids, they are outstanding ! You should keep some kefir grains in the freezer. Just throw them into your expired milk and thats it. Kefir is a wonderful base for fruity desserts, dressings and refreshing drinks and can also be used as a meat tenderizer...
I had your channel pop up in my feed. I love your style; talk, but not too much. I grew up on Saltspring Island, so I love the coastal views. Keep it going.
I absolutely love your videos, reminds of my youth cooking in logging camps on the Coast and our "interesting" to and from journeys to camp. Keep up these great videos!
OBSERVATION...what a great channel. This is an amazing place. How do the martens get in? Luv your cooking and showing what everyone does. Throw a blanket over the martens trap it will calm them down
Great advice. Thank you!! I’m so happy to hear you are enjoying my videos! We have a couple ideas of where they might be getting into the kitchen so we were working on them now. Thanks again
Ha ha well I doubt that I’ve never seen a gator in real life before, but I think I would fear them more than a marten. Thanks so much for watching. Take care.
Oh my God Jenny I just discovered your pods and have watched them all. It's like a little calm place in a tumultuous world. Thank-you for you sharing your lovely self with all of us .
Love seeing the ole stomping grounds. Remember making a beer run to Dawsons and the store keepeerr making sure we noticed he was wearing pearl handled six guns.
I worked right next door in Sandell and Draney for five years retired two years ago but nice to see your video of my second home my first is Campbell River
First: you can also smoke the cheese, similar to a scamorza from Italy. Of course, cold smoking, i.e. smoking temperature below 50°C. Second: Good Hope is a summer house for three people plus staff? Okay, now I'm a little bit jealous... But a big thank you for letting us participate. With much joy and gratitude from Hamburg, Germany.
The private home is for the owner, Tony and his two sons. Through July and August they invite friends and family up to join them. Most of the time it is only staff here. We are all very spoiled. Thanks for tuning in. I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
If you have a hot glue gun....Glue your bait to the floor of the trap....When they pull on the bait they push down on the plate and it works great too.
There’s gotta be a hot glue gun around here somewhere. Tying the pepperoni in the trap seemed to do the job also. Thank goodness. Thanks so much for watching
Hi JENNY, Thank you for another wonderful post . those Martin definitely keep you on your toes. Like I have said I love the way you tell us you're story. The video is awesome and that time laps --> incredible !👌 I hope you enjoyed your time off. I find it a Weird twist, Where you work is where most people would love to have their time off. Myself , I would love the Sights and sounds and smells Of that beautiful place At anytime. Stay safe and happy and keep smiling 😊 🇨🇦Craig
Hi Craig, honestly I would love to spend a few days off up here and just enjoy the place. But for our mental health, we are sent out so that we can think of anything else ha ha I’m so glad you’re enjoying the videos. Thank you so much for letting me know and yes, these martens are definitely keeping me on my toes. Take care
Thanks for the recipe tips, esp. the dressing. I remember that “special”sensation when flying in float planes that hit turbulence: Rivers Inlet, Waglisla and Ocean Falls….. in November(!). Missed the lights last week when I was in Northern BC..overcast. Lucky you, having the resort to yourselves now. Enjoying the vids.❤
Hi Jamie! We definitely felt lucky to see the sky dancing with colours that night! I hope you’re going to try that dressing some day. It sounds like you’ve visited a lot of areas up this way. I hope to check out ocean falls some day. Take care!
Great channel and well done editing. I love the relaxing style of your videos. It brings back memories for me of lodge life at the head of Knight Inlet where I worked for a number of years as a guide and also lived up in the Cariboo at Lac La Hache and Williams Lake. Beautiful country and you are fortunate to move between both. Looking forward to your next video!
Thank you so much for the kind comment! BC is full of beautiful places to visit. I definitely feel lucky to be able to travel around and see so much of it. More videos to come soon. Thank you for watching.
Didn't think much about the show at first but now I am hooked . Watch it all the time might have to plan a trip there next summer. Keep up the good work.
Good morning from white rock! Did I miss something? Where did the critters get rehoused? Did you get them all? Love the cheese lesson. How long can you keep? Great northern lights shots. Must have been fantastic with no city lights around. Keep up the videos.
Hi Anita. Thanks so much for watching! The northern lights were amazing that night. To be honest I’m not sure how long the cheese keeps for. Probably a week or 2. We al ate consume it quickly though. I’ll be putting it on pizza tomorrow night. The martens were released nearby on a very large island so I’m sure they are thriving. Take care!
That marten is one mean little critter, clever too apparently! How the heck are they getting in there? Must be a small hole somewhere, maybe stuff a bunch of chicken wire in the hole to stop them
The martens have been causing a lot of problems and yes, you’re right. We need a strong chicken wire to close up some of these spots in the kitchen that we think they might be getting in from. Thank you so much for your comment !
Great videos Jenny. Where did you learn how to edit videos? What camera gear are you using? Your channel is about to explode, I think it's awesome. Congratulations 🙌🏾
Thank you so much. I really appreciate that. I’m going to check out your channel also. I learned to edit in high school on iMovie. But now I’m using Final Cut Pro and I learned even more from practice and watching other videos that are similar to mine. Most of my shots are captured with an iPhone 15 Pro Max I use a GoPro 11 and my drone is a DJI mini 3. Thanks again for watching. Take care!
Welcome back to lodge life Jenny! Always a pleasure getting your fresh videos. I especially like your walk on the beach when you were gathering up pieces of shells, pottery, and even a green piece of glass. Was that from an old pop bottle of Freska? Can't wait to try out your recipe of Nooch salad dressing. Keep up the good work, amongst those pesky Martens. Take care.
Thank you so much! I hope you do try this dressing cause it’s sooo good!! I’m not sure what that glass was from but it’s cool to see old pop bottle pieces!! Thanks for watching!!
Hi Jenny! My daughter Amadea and I just love your TH-cam channel! ❤ GH is a passion place as I grew up there as a teenager and early 20s. When I saw the fire alarm go off it was soooo reminiscent of many happenings. I thought to myself I bet it’s the second floor. Sure enough. Room 9 was also thought to be a place of strange happenings. A presence maybe! ;) Thank you for sharing this beautiful place with us. It’s so fun to see how Tony is keeping it beautiful and under the watch of Chief Ted. Thank you thank you! Susan ps when in White Rock let’s have lunch and bring Ted and Lori. ❤❤
Hi Susan and Hi Amanda!! ♥️ thank you both so much for watching my videos. I’m so happy you are enjoying them. I bet you have so many stories from your time up here! That’s so cool! Wow room 9! That’s where we have the massage table set up. I e may have shifted the energy out of that room and into others but it’s so interesting that the 2nd floor is still having the same issue with the fire alarm! Would love to have lunch with you some day and hear some stories! Thanks for taking the time to comment. It’s much appreciated!! Take care!
That’s awesome thank you so much! This year’s videos are a bit different since I’m using a different camera and capturing some close-up moments. I’m really enjoying how the videos are turning out this year. I hope you enjoy also!
It would be great to have you Im sure however we are a private lodge and the guests that join us are invited by the owner. I’m so glad you’re enjoying my videos!
That was a great video thanks.I used to manage Lake Alpine Lodge in California and had to deal with a family of martens.Big mess every morning never could figure out we’re they where coming in at ended up trapping six of them and transplanted them ten miles down road
It’s tough finding where the martens are getting in. I think I should set up a camera in the kitchen over night. There are a few holes that we know of and we are working on fixing. Thanks for watching!
The northern lights were incredible! I haven’t seen them fill the entire sky since I lived in Alberta over a decade ago. The martens noise is somewhat demonic haha but you’re right they are very cute. Thanks so much for watching.
Haha you found my stickers!! I really enjoy watching your channel, Thanks for sharing your journey and adventures. You really give out good vibes , peaceful and relaxing!! Can't wait till the next post, I will try to get more of the guys to sign the stickers and I Know of a couple others that watch your videos too.. Maybe we can put something you need or miss in your next skid to CTS :) so your better keep on eye out when the barge drops stuff off that made its way through CTS! Keep up the great job
Dave, thank you so much for writing on those stickers. It turned out to be D after all. Everyone here, especially me gets very excited seeing and knowing that people are watching the videos! It’s so much fun! I will keep my eye out on the next delivery! Thanks again, Dave!!!
Are you an old-fashioned trapper? You’re right we might need one ha ha thank you so much for watching. I’m glad you enjoyed. Editing is one of my favourite past times so I forced myself to start filming. learning to talk to the camera was the hardest part.
Those little Martins make a real mess, I had a battle with raccoons a while back and the only thing that I found worked is an electric fence, it doesn't hurt them physically but did it ever send them running. I know Great Bear Lodge in Smith Inlet used them around one at least one staff house and they wouldn't come near to it. If you try an electric fence be careful the dogs do not get shocked. Just love your videos and I liked the easy cheese recipe, it is always a good day to find a new video from you, I will share it.
Hey Jenny my Dads cousins Terry and Ruth live a deca lake in 100 mile house wonderful place just made me think of them when you mentioned 100 mile house my wife and I stayed there when we bought a picker truck in Kelona a while back would love it move to that area Hi from Northern Ab
Thank you for sharing my your story! Deca lake is one of many in that area and they are all so beautiful. We lived on Sheridan lake for a couple years which is close by.
Great content, viewed from the other side of the Inlet. 😅. Those Martin's are very persistent round GHC. Always have been. As we are floating we don't get them and I think our dogs put them off too. As for expired cream!......in my world it's never expired. 😅. We only get fresh veggies or dairy about every 6 weeks so posted dates mean nothing. If your ever out and about, call in for a cuppa.
Thank you Sarah! 6 weeks is a while to wait for new dairy! I suppose our 2 week wait isn’t bad haha. We have caught over 10 martens this spring and now that they have left we are starting to trap the mice! It’s on or the other. I can see why a floating home would help so much with the critters. Thank you so much for the invite!
Hi Jenny, I am a friend of Ted's through my annual Duncanby trips since 2009 (Except COVID border closures 2020 and 2021) I have been to Good Hope once on a drive-by, and once for fuel in a float plane before heading back to Richmond. I'm glad I found your page here, and have subscribed. I've shared it with so many people who have joined me at Duncanby and everyone loves the vids...Hope to meet you someday and try the Nooch! We always stop in Sunshine Bay to drop off a bottle of wine for Robin and Sarah. We won't fish the head on our July 16th trip, but I love the inlet and it has grown on me. I'll bring you some of my hand painted salmon spoons that do so well there. Sid will get them to Ted or Dwayne, and they'll make their way to you at GHC. You are surrounded by great people there. Cheers, and keep the vids coming!
Hi Michael! Thank you so much for sharing my video with so many friends of Rivers Inlet. I love the inlet also! I’ll look forward to these spoons! I would trade you for some Nooch haha. Thanks for thinking of me! Have a wonderful time when you visit!
@@jenny_adrift I sent a bunch to each Duncanby crew member, and also some for Ted and Dwayne. Where can I email or message you pics of these beauties? I named one, with Ted's permission, "Uncle Percy" and it's a regular salmon slayer.
I loved this one Jenny ! I am sitting eating my breakfast and drinking my coffee , relaxing and watching this video. Lots of beautiful views when you were up in the plane , loved it when the dogs arrived , it’s like the celebrities arriving, lol .😂 You said Good Hope was a cannery then a fishing Lodge and now a private home . I thought it still is a fishing lodge where a tourist could book in to stay , could you explain what you meant . I’m loving your channel and so happy to see a current video ❤, the Grandma from Creston BC
Hello Grandma from Creston! ❤️ Thank you so much for watching my video. I am so happy to hear you enjoyed it!! The lodge is no longer running as a fishing resort. The owner invites guests like his family and friends. Nobody pays to come here. Thank you for your lovely comment. Take care!
Haha or they could look up on Google maps “Good Hope” in rivers inlet. Thank you so much for the comment and for watching the video. I’m so happy that you enjoyed it.
Wait!!!! Jenny you make your own bread pudding? that's my absolute FAV!!! if you don't mind could you drop your recipe in my comment here please and thank you, I'd really appreciate it 🙂, I can't bake but I'd give it a go especially if its a simple and easy recipe 🙂, @10:28-11:28 very beautiful, @11:57-12:02 the little martin was like "REALLY JENNY ARE YOU REALLY SORRY AND UNDERSTAND?" lol 🙂, that little martin was ANGRY lil dude or dudette lol 🙂
Hi! Thanks for watching! It was cheese that I made in this video but I do like breading pudding also! The link here is one I’ve made before that I really enjoyed. tornadoughalli.com/the-best-bread-pudding/ I really did feel for those martens but they were released shortly after on a big island nearby. Hope the bread pudding turns out!
Jenny I love your videos, I would love to go up to Good Hope, is there a website I could visit and find out about making reservations, Thanks for the great work you do
Thank you so much. I’m so happy you’re enjoying my videos!! Good hope cannery is a private lodge so the guests get personally invited up by the owner. There are other really great lodges in the area like Duncan and Legacy. Make sure to check them out!
Subscribed to the channel ! Content is great! I watched all videos - there are all great! Only one question - why just a few thousand subscribed??? It should be over 100K a long time ago) Jenny, don't give up.
Thank you!! I’m working on more videos all the time. Hopefully in time it will grow more. The thing with my channel is that in the fall and winter there is no more rivers inlet content so my channel slows down. But it has grown a lot since last year. So I’m happy. Thank you so much for your support!
Wonderful video , thought you could add a little more of the 97 canyon scenery, some of the finest in the world ! Port Hardy makes me so nostalgic , the beautiful memories flood back. Expiring dairy : creamy soups, rice pudding , gravies , hot chocolate etc. Might have been a female marten with pups ? I always feel terrible as you did. Life in nature's back yard. Those are beautiful knives and the stone. Some of them are bevelled one side only , bought for my wife's birthday, a prize possession decades later. If you draw or push the knife as you pass across the stone your technique will improve greatly. Also putting your right hand at the ' balance point' partly on the blade will help you maintain the angle . Learning to switch to your left hand, for the left side will again help your technique a lot, but's a challenge for many. You will need a diamond hone, flat glass plate with sandpaper etc , dogfish skin will do in a pinch 😁,, to maintain the flatness of the stone.
The 97 is definitely a beautiful drive. I didn’t catch much of it as I was driving and I didn’t stop as I was in a bit of a rush to get down to the coast. I loved the highway from Spence’s Bridge to Merritt. I wonder if they are rebuilding it? Thanks for the tips on the dairy. I think we will plan a hot cocoa night soon and I’ll make some icecream base too. Rice pudding would also be good. Thank you also for the tips on sharpening knives. I need all the tips I can get. Always learning something new. I love that about my job... dogfish skin haha
Good morning Jennie , very beautiful video as always and informative too about our amazing and beautiful coast here in B.C. Btw what kind of puppy dogs 🐕 are those in the video?
Hi Glen! These are Newfoundlanders. They are a great protector and can smell when bears are nearby. They do a great job at helping keep us safe all summer. Thanks for watching!
Hi Jenny another great video and so enjoyed seeing the Northern Lights like that, first time I have seen a time lapse view of them, the whole wilderness around there is so beautiful. Now I do have a question relating to an earlier video I watched recently on the the water and power supply you have there and although retired now I trained and worked as a maintenance fitter for the City Council here in Wellington and worked on our city water supply and the Emergency Generators for the critical areas we were responsible for-- Airport/ Hospital and Civil Defense, everything just a little bigger than what you have there and when seeing where the fuel tanks and propane tank is at a higher elevation I saw that there is a road of sorts to get to them, now I see in this video there was a tanker on the barge but is there a landing in another bay that it drive up the road or can they pump up to the tanks from the shore, the road didn't look like one I would attempt with a tanker of fuel or propane ( LPG ) here. Many thanks and will enjoy every video you post 😊😊😋🇳🇿
Hi John! Excellent question! There are pipes on the fuel dock that lead up the hill to the tanks and yes there is a pump. There is a cement pad that allows vehicles to disembark from a barge if needed but I’ve only seen it used once when we replaced one of the generators. Thanks so much for watching!!
We have been releasing these little guys on a large nearby island. Hopefully they are thriving there. We are in their space so I am very sorry to them for inconveniencing their lives. But we all have to learn to live together. They just don’t learn very fast.
@@jenny_adrift of course you’re too kind-but there are worse things. Again, you’re great with the camera and all the rest-I almost feel like visiting the NW! Well done.

Thank you so much!!!I spend about 15 minutes cleaning the counters but I do get help cleaning the messes they leave. We’ve been keeping the slop buckets in the fridge and making sure no food is left out.
Went to Rivers a lot during childhood and teen years from OF. I remember seeing the white triangles around the coast, but never knew what they meant. Do you?
Thank you @BKinWhiteRock Yes they are boundary signs letting us know where we can and cannot fish. Certain areas are protected for different reasons. Thanks for asking!
I have been binge-watching your fishing lodge episodes and I'm convinced that this is best undiscovered channel so far.
Thank you so much!! I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos and I’m hoping in time, my channel will grow. Take care!!
Take care with the Martin, they are very dangerous, love your slice of heaven 🥰🇨🇦🥰
You have a style that tells a story and engages the viewer at the same time. Love this, but that cry....oh my!
The Marten cry is so awful! Almost demonic haha
So glad you’re enjoying my videos. Thank you!!

Wow! Beautiful time lapse showing the northern lights. Your videos are so much fun to watch.

Welcome back to 🇨🇦. That was an awesome night show. Beautiful colours. Love your videos. Keep them coming. Thanks and take care.☮️🇨🇦
Thank you so much. It’s great to be back home. I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos and the northern lights that night was amazing!
As I already said once that cry was nerve racking. Your videos always relax me.
It’s almost demonic! Oh my gosh!!!

We have a couple ideas of where they might be getting into the kitchen so we were working on them now.
Thanks again
I'm enjoying this channel more and more as you grow. Best of luck. I hope for 100k subscribers soon for you.
Thank you so much Kris! I am excited for 10k first but someday I definitely hope for 100k. Thank you so much!!!
Golly gee…..what a feisty critter! Looks like an amazing place to spend the summer….so much beauty. Thanks for those recipes! See ya next time
Thank you so much for watching. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. The noises those martens make is pretty incredible and intense.
So glad for this new video, beautiful northern lights, love watching the scenery, thank you
Thank you so much for watching. I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed the video!!
Vicious little creatures! Makes the gators here in Florida look like puppy dogs.
Ha ha well I doubt that I’ve never seen a gator in real life before, but I think I would fear them more than a marten. Thanks so much for watching. Take care.
Martens make great hats.
U will always know where they are.
I was considering making a pyjama set out of them. We might actually have enough this year. Haha
Oh my God Jenny I just discovered your pods and have watched them all. It's like a little calm place in a tumultuous world. Thank-you for you sharing your lovely self with all of us .
Thank you so much for your support Marty! I’m so happy to hear you are enjoying my videos! I am working on another right now.
Great video series. Lovely job hosting filming and editing. Great insight into a quality operation and cool lifestyle. Many thanks 👍👍🙏

Thank you so much. I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos. I’m constantly filming and will do my best to keep them coming through the summer.
Great segment! Love that you got to see the ‘lights’! And now I am going to make batch of that salad dressing!
That’s awesome. Let me know how you like it. And yes, the northern lights were incredible that night . Thank you for watching.!!
As always great video! Enjoy your videos very much ,they brighten my days and i learn a lot from your skills.Ty and stay safe.
Thank you John! I appreciate you taking the time to let me know!!! Take care
You're quite the artist, both in the kitchen and behind the camera.
Thank you so much. 2 of my favourite things are cooking and editing… the 3rd are rocks
Love seeing the ole stomping grounds.
Remember making a beer run to Dawsons and the store keepeerr making sure
we noticed he was wearing pearl handled six guns.
Too funny! It’s so nice to have a place nearby to do Beer runs! Haha
Awesome job Jenny…you’re so kind and peaceful in dealing with everything. Love the content!
Thank you so much for your kind comment! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the videos!
My, but i enjoy your videos and the life you lead at “ Good Hope Cannery”! So enjoyable!
Thank you so much for letting me know that you’re enjoying the videos. It makes me so happy.
Good filming and editing .

Thanks
Thank you so much!!
I worked right next door in Sandell and Draney for five years retired two years ago but nice to see your video of my second home my first is Campbell River
Awesome! I’m glad I can show you parts of the area you worked in. I’m glad you found my videos!
You are so lucky to do this. Be safe
I agree completely. I am very grateful for this job!!
You are one HARD working gal. Kudos to you, thanks again for another great video.
Thank you! I’m addicted to editing so I’m working on videos on my break and after my 10 hour shift. I’m glad you’re enjoying my videos!
Jenny Adrift makes Wednesday worth getting up for, keep the great videos coming.
Awww so sweet thank you so much! I’m glad I added some happiness to your Wednesday morning!
Another great production! Awesome ❤️. Love the audio work and all that’s involved! Great job.
Thank you so much!!! I appreciate the love! ❤️
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️thank you
Thank YOU!

Stay safe and happy and keep smiling 😊 🇨🇦Craig
Hi Craig, honestly I would love to spend a few days off up here and just enjoy the place. But for our mental health, we are sent out so that we can think of anything else ha ha
I’m so glad you’re enjoying the videos.
Take care!
Your channel deserves a lot more subscribers. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much. In time it will happen I hope!
how are the varmints getting in?
Nice to see a more current episode. Great episode.
Glad you’re enjoying the videos! Thanks for watching!!
I sent a link to my community on Facebook. Thanks again for such great story telling. Cheers
Thank you so much for sharing!!
Martin party they were not happy waiting LOL amazing video Jenny thanks for sharing
Ha ha I’m sure they were partying while I was away. Thank you so much for watching. I’m glad you enjoyed my video.
Didn't think much about the show at first but now I am hooked . Watch it all the time might have to plan a trip there next summer. Keep up the good work.
Thanks so much for watching. I’m glad you’re enjoying now!
That might have came out wrong I ment didn't think I would like the fishing and lodge life up there I am more tropical lol but I love what I see.
@@marckerley8539 haha thank you for clarifying
@@jenny_adrift You're welcome. Best of luck with the martens and keep up the good work!
@lewispaine4589 They are cute yes, they are also very loud, obnoxious, they stink, get into everything, and mean when fighting each other.
Take care!
@@jenny_adriftMany smiles and much gratitude. Yes massage table vibes are the perfect addition! :)
Great video Jen, what a beautiful part of the world. Take care .....❤️🇨🇦

Excellent content Jenny. Really enjoy your videos from Lodge Life to Baja to Lodge Life. Keep them coming 😀
Thank you so much! not everyone enjoys watching both rivers, Inlet content and Baja content, but I appreciate those that. Do thanks again!
So glad this is back!!!! Been waiting since fall! Will watch later!
That’s awesome thank you so much! This year’s videos are a bit different since I’m using a different camera and capturing some close-up moments. I’m really enjoying how the videos are turning out this year. I hope you enjoy also!
Just wow on the content especially the aurora, Jen your content getting ever so much more engaging!!
Thank you so much Glen! I truly appreciate that!!
From the central coast Jenny. Just love your channel!💕
Awww thank you so much!!! Much appreciated!!
this makes me wanna come for a visit...
Love the channel and your adventures, Sending the love from Down Under ❤❤❤🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Thank you so much for watching. I appreciate you leaving this comment and letting me know where you’re watching from.
Hi Jenny, watching from Maui 🌺 🌊 🌴
Wow! Hello and thank you so much for watching!!!
Enjoying your videos, keep them coming.
Thank you so much. I will do my best to keep them coming all summer.
Great northern lights views. Those martins sure are pesky. They look cute till you trap them.
@@jenny_adriftthats amazing and pretty funny
What awonderful place out there, good work filming and editing, Jenny 👍🏻
Maybe you’ll need an oldfashioned trapper one day to get rid of the Martins 😉
Are you an old-fashioned trapper? You’re right we might need one ha ha thank you so much for watching. I’m glad you enjoyed. Editing is one of my favourite past times so I forced myself to start filming. learning to talk to the camera was the hardest part.
Good morning from Arizona USA 🇺🇸
Good morning to you thank you so much for watching!!
good morning you are the martin queen, love your videos, keepem coming, your getting a big crowd that loves the Hill, thanks
I feel like the queen of martens haha thank you so much for watching. I’m so happy that you’re enjoying them.
Pretty dope time-lapse of the northern lights. Awesome stubby tri- stone.
It was such an amazing capture! The setting on the GoPro is called star Trail and I just love it so much! Thanks for watching!
Oh no! The raccoons! Thanks for the tip. If they continue making messes we will need to seriously consider this.
I’m so glad you enjoyed the video!!
Great vid , great content , what an amazing way to live life ,,, well done 👍
Thank you so much. I appreciate it!!
What a beautiful place to work! Do you have a place for an old hunter/ Logger to help out there?😀I would not want to leave!
It definitely is an amazing place!!
Hi Jenny,
I am a friend of Ted's through my annual Duncanby trips since 2009 (Except COVID border closures 2020 and 2021) I have been to Good Hope once on a drive-by, and once for fuel in a float plane before heading back to Richmond.

Thank you so much for watching my video. I am so happy to hear you enjoyed it!!
The lodge is no longer running as a fishing resort. The owner invites guests like his family and friends. Nobody pays to come here. Thank you for your lovely comment. Take care!
Best one yet Jenny.
Maybe your readers could calculate your latitude from the angle of the star streaks in the time lapse.
Haha or they could look up on Google maps “Good Hope” in rivers inlet. Thank you so much for the comment and for watching the video. I’m so happy that you enjoyed it.
Peanut butter for the traps
Good idea!! Then they really have to work at it!
Apple Air Tag a Martin or Ear Tag lol Who is gonna volunteer ❤ Have a great week! (Kansas)
Haha right?! Not a bad idea if you can get close enough to one. Thanks so much for watching from Kansas!!
The link here is one I’ve made before that I really enjoyed. tornadoughalli.com/the-best-bread-pudding/
I really did feel for those martens but they were released shortly after on a big island nearby.
Hope the bread pudding turns out!
@@jenny_adrift you rock and are a real sweetheart thanks for everything 🙂
Nice nice job Jenny.what breed are the dogs.❤😊
Hi Scott!! Thanks for watching. These are Newfoundlander dogs and they are great for letting us know when bears are nearby
You will need a diamond hone, flat glass plate with sandpaper etc , dogfish skin will do in a pinch 😁,,
to maintain the flatness of the stone.
Me again.
I am binge watching all your videos. How do I become a guest at the Good Hope cannery?
You have to make friends with the owner and then hope he invites you up
Hi Jenny another great video and so enjoyed seeing the Northern Lights like that, first time I have seen a time lapse view of them, the whole wilderness around there is so beautiful.
Lmao-don’t be sorry-toss the trap in the drink for a bit. Fish gotta eat too.
Well done.

Hey Jenny love the podcast question what brand is the rack on the truck for the boat?
Hi Greg! Thanks!
The boat loader/rack is a company called “Load my boat” and they are based in Kelowna.
Went to Rivers a lot during childhood and teen years from OF. I remember seeing the white triangles around the coast, but never knew what they meant. Do you?
Fishing boundary signs
Thank you @BKinWhiteRock
Yes they are boundary signs letting us know where we can and cannot fish. Certain areas are protected for different reasons. Thanks for asking!
I assume you let the martens go somewhere else. I may have been tempted to do something else.
They have been released! There’s a “short” on my channel you can watch if the release. Thanks for watching!!
