Personally though I could really use something like this as I take a lot of business calls and it would be nice to have notes of my calls afterwards. It would save me so much time.

Sounds like it’s used through their app and hopefully locally stored on the phone and not cloud stored. Why can’t people just make a device with an sd card slot or internal storage, everything’s gotta be smart and cloud stored nowadays. People trust companies way too much with their data when most likely the company is selling their data or at the least doesn’t protect it well at all.

Recording phone calls without the consent of both parties is illegal in California at least, I think a few other states too.

@@OhDelta9 The irony where you haven't realised yourself that most phones still allow it just fine. Only google dialer restricts it, by announcing it before recording. Even then, you can still record all calls

While I’m concerned about security reasons, I like to think something like that would be amazing for deaf people to do phone calls with, if it does it w minimal delay
1. They're already apps that do this so why would I need a separate device?
2. Laws for recording phone calls differ wildly from state to state and country to country. So there are potentially legal issues with using this device.

@@owentharp6906 Yes but if a country doesn't allow you access to an app that allows you to record your phone calls, it's probably because it's illegal there. Which circles back to the legality issues of the product.
The number one is not true.
I've looked into it and its not possible neither on android or iOS.
On android its possible if the phone came with that feature already built-in by the manufacturer (i.e Huawei, Samsung, etc), but by default - google doesn't allow it.
One issue. You have to remember to let people know your recording (like the ex while getting divorced) or you could be charged with wiretapping (in certain situations, it can be a felony).
Remember states with two party consent rules fuck you over. Because 1 part consent ensures you can catch misconduct from your employer and keep yourself safe.

Google calling app on android has it built-in and im sure many others also have it.
No, most phones don't have the feature in there - and by default google doesn't want you to record phone calls.
I have no idea why its like this, it used to be simpler previous to android 9.

Buy a device to record to connect it to your phone ... Which can do the exact same thing ... but it has ChatGPT ... Like the Phone you have to pair. I don't get it ... its one unnecessary step more to record audio.

PLAUD NOTE phone call recording mode can record normal calls as well as Facetime, WhatsApp, Zoom, Telegram, Messenger, Viber, Skype, and any other type of calls.
Please note that it doesn't support Bluetooth earphones during recording. Because the way that PLAUD NOTE records is via either air or vibration.
