    Exact same setup BUT I'm using the Griots Garage Brilliant Finish foam cannon. Thing just spits out foam like a barber shop, highly recommend.

    Great setup! What is that elbow fitting on you Active pressure washer (outlet)? Where did you order it? My setup needs some similar fittings.

      Hello I got them at Colliflower hose and fittings they have multiple stores through the US. I also had them change the ends on the hose since I like the uberflex 1/4 inch hose. If you like the 1/2 hose then Flexilla has the one that comes with the 3/8 fitting on it already. I got the stainless steel elbow at Colliflower or you can get them on Amazon too. You can go to any hydraulic shop and most of them would have it. Try getting either stainless or brass so it will last longer. The quick disconnects I believe at MTM Hydro parts. I think the one for the Active is the 15 mm coming out of the unit. www.mtmhydroparts.com/ I also purchased the MTM gun in Amazon the link is amzn.to/3Un5CEY. Some of the items are above on my links. Hope this helps let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you

    How did you mount the pump like that? I saw the bottom bracket but how did you mount it on the top!? I just ordered the same pw and I think I will have to add it in be same orientation as you

      Hello you can purchase the brackets at Homedepot here is a video I did when it was leaking and on time frame 6:49 you can see what it looks like better. you can screw it to the bottom and then to the wall. It works fantastic for us it gets removed all the time since my son takes it to do his part time detailing. th-cam.com/video/Bari8xjNdVw/w-d-xo.html Here is the homedepot link to the bracket I used. Let me know if you have any other questions. I am sure there are other options but I happened to have some of that laying around. Thanks homedepot.sjv.io/Xxg6kg

      Hello I used a stainless steel L bracket to support the bottom and used this from Homedepot for the top. I screwed multiple screws into the bottom of the washer. First you do the top part then install the L bracket on the bottom to alleviate the weight. Here is the link homedepot.sjv.io/Xxg6kg . You can also put a flat metal that extends to the sides and can be bolted to the wall. I just wanted to make it removable so my son can take to do his washes on the weekend. You can see the bottom bracket on the video. Let me know if you have any questions. thanks

      @@ExtremDIY Thanks for the reply and help. Great idea for making it removable. Question, have you ever wished that you purchased something more expensive like a Kranzle or Adams pro? I know those are 4-5X the cost.

    • @ExtremDIY
      @ExtremDIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello I did so much research for hours, days, months. Ended up buying the ARBlue and was ok even had the wall mount and dolly option. they also have higher end ones like the Kranzle at descent prices. It had more pressure than the Active and a little less gpm which I think is the most important. I kept seeing reviews saying that but didnt follow the advise. It looked amazing on the wall but when you added the 50 ft hose the pressure kind of drops a small bit and response. The Active had better trigger response and 2 year warranty but no wall mount. You can add a stainless shelve which I was going to do but didnt fit well between the garage doors. The Kranzle is nice but price you can buy 6 of the Active at $200 now on Amazon. I think AR Blue has the AR620 is like $650 also a nice option. I almost purchased the Comet Static 1700 all in one machine wall mount not a bad option. Over all I kind of wanted the Coxreel setup so the Active made sense. You should look at the Active 2.0 bare unit. Has better GPM and better parts. At the end is all that makes you happy but spending $1200 on a machine alone didnt made sense for me. Let me know how it goes would love to see how it ends up. My sons uses it every week multiple times and its good he loves it. He takes it with him thats why I set up with the removable kit.

      @@ExtremDIY Yeah..... I agree that for the price it's a great unit. Looking at the active 2.0 when it's back in stock. Did you screw directly into the feet of the unit? Did you worry about hitting anything vital in there?

    • @ExtremDIY
      @ExtremDIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello I did with very short screws that section is not close to anything. Let me know how you like the 2.0 I just think they should had called me for the design. Instead I think it was Obsessed to have some inputs. I spoke to Active and gave them some ideas but the product was designed already.

    Which model AR did you have before and why exactly did you say was the reason for replacing it?

    • @ExtremDIY
      @ExtremDIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello the one I got was the homedepot one model BC2N1HSS 2300 psi 1.7 gpm it was cheaper than AR Blue website. It was very nice it had a wall mount option and the color was perfect for my garage. It also had the hose reel option available. After I purchased it I then did a bit more research and found that more pressure for car wash was not as good. I then decided on getting the Active VE52 with 1800 psi and for the GPM which was my second choice. The AR started making some weird noises and I decided to return it and get the Active. I compared them and the Active had better response and a bit more GPM. I love the Ative even though it had no wall mount option so I made it work with some clips I had. So far so good my son also uses it to wash some cars on the weekends as a part time thing. Oh and the Active is also cheaper. AR Blue make some heavy duty ones but too pricy for what I needed. Thanks

    I got one of those swivel guns but I can’t figure out how to fit them to the simoniz pressure washer
    Do you know what size quick connects I need to purchase to get it working seamlessly?

      @ExtremDIY  8 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Hello its hard to know which one you have. There are 2 sizes 15mm and 14mm connectors. You need to know which one you have and the setup you would like to have to convert to. If you have the 1/4 hose it usually come with the black connector thats why I toll the hose to the hydraulic place to change the fittings. I think Homedpot sell some adaptors you can try. Check out this video it might help a little . Thanks hope it helps th-cam.com/video/Tz2uQB5HqTY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=X8cL_vk7SvZKrKQk

  • @stevenb.182

    You won't really know what the pressure or the GPMs are until you measure it (two different tests). The size of the orifice used in your spray gun controls the pressure and GPM....bigger orifice = less pressure and more GPM. Smaller orifice will yield the opposite, more pressure and less GPM. The "data" written or advertised on the box or in the manufacturer's specifications is "fluff". It has little to do with what you actually achieve in the real world. Take a look at IMJOSHV's channel to see how these tests are run.

    • @ExtremDIY
      @ExtremDIY  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I follow him he is great. I actually got the idea to buy the Active from watching his videos. I had done a test with the Active and the AR Blue and the Active did better so thats why I kept the Active. I deleted the video by mistake so couldnt post it. I see what you mean about the tips and when you add a 50 ft hose things change a bit also. For my sons part time use of washing cars it works awesome and the price is good too. The new 2.0 is out and we might be looking into it.
