    People with negative comments about these homes never lived in the inner cities of the Northeast part of America. The yard alone sold me.

      @nbtxliving  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, I agree. While I can appreciate most of the comments, we realize these homes are just one of the many choices that are out there. Thank you for leaving a comment.

    Terrible layout, total lack of imagination from the builder, place the living space facing the back yard and open it with sliding glass doors.

    • @nbtxliving
      @nbtxliving  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Lennar really doesn't do imagination. They just want to sell houses.

    my only gripe is the having to walk out the front door to get to the backyard but that wouldn't be deal breaker for me

      Yes, that would be kinda annoying.

    There's a hugh problem with these tiny communities....
    4 bedrooms
    4 drivers
    4 cars
    Where are the space to park 4 cars...?
    😳

    • @nbtxliving
      @nbtxliving  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      These houses don't have 4 bedrooms. I wouldn't call it a "huge" problem. You know what you are getting into when you buy it. It's not like you bought something, and then it changed after you moved in. With all that said, parking could be a problem in this community for sure.

    At the end of the day if there wasn’t a market for these, no one would buy them and construction would stop. Although this is not for me, I can understand how it could be an option for some

      This is very true. It's just an option love it or leave it. Thanks for leaving a comment.

    I just recently learned about these houses. I like the concept, I would definitely live in one. However, there are opportunities to make the design better and more cost effective for future versions.
    First, why traditional building? Why not modular? Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe a single module is wider (Standard modules are 13 ft 9 in) than this house. You could make this a 30 ft long, 13 ft 9 in wide house, and make it with two (2) modules; one on top of the other. One (1) truck can carry upto 60 ft of modules, so the whole thing can br brought in one (1) trip. More space (I think), faster and cheaper to build.
    The roof would make more sense to me if it was a shed style. I believe shed style roofs are some of the most cost effective to make. If we are going for affordability, why not commit to affordable designs in every corner of the house?
    The other thing is the price. I'm not sure if these houses are worth $130K +. That's approximately $215+ per square foot! I ask why?
    Again, I could happily live in a place like this. It's really good for couples with no kids, and single people. Just the price has to be the biggest factor to drive me away from it.

      @nbtxliving  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Very well said. Lennar builds a lot of homes, but I haven't seen any modular homes. It may not be something that they want to specialize in. I agree that there are some opportunities to make these better/ less expensive. I appreciate your well thought out comment. Happy holidays

    • @nbtxliving
      @nbtxliving  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Why would they only offer tiny homes? There are options from less than 400 sqft to well over 4000 sqft in San Antonio alone. Not to mention custom builders and luxury homes. Don't worry, there are a lot of options.

    This is clearly not for everyone, but there's definitely a market for them. My husband and I are empty nesters, and last summer we downsized from an apartment to a small house. We chose a house mainly because with our age and medical concerns, we needed a place without stairs, and that was just too hard to find in an apartment. Something like this would work nice for the 2 of us, if it weren't for the stairs. It's not perfect; there are things (other than stairs) that I would change about the design, but my biggest gripe is the price. I really feel these houses should cost less. It is true, if you go back to the 1930s, 1940s, in general most houses were smaller. It was during the 1970s and 1980s we started getting "McMansions". I never lived in one. The biggest house I've ever lived in was barely over 1,000 sq ft. And that was with a full family complete with pets all living there.

    I would rather see single vehicle garages added/included with these homes than those backyards, even at a higher price point. Guess you could always built another 300-400sqft tiny home in the back yard & rent it out since there is no access to backyard from inside the house. 😉 Still, I wouldn't mind buying one of these at all if I lived in or moved to TX, as a single person with no interest in marriage or children.

      If anything, this is the peak capitalism. A major corporation takes an opportunity to make money in the absence of affordable alternatives. These homes aren't being forced on anyone, and there are other options all over the San Antonio area. Can you explain how this is woke?
