    Fantastic bike, will be even better when they put the 1300 engine in it. Great video.

    too expensive for an "around town" bike. can't tour, not comfortable for any longer runs, looks goofy compared to other models. K1600 or just get a GS and have a way better time.

      Why can't we tour on this bike? Thank you

    I would like to see a heads up comparison to the GS..compare and contrast the comfort, riding position, handling, etc.

    My '16 R1200R is still the best bike I've ever ridden.

    What a pleasant surprise! I did not expect BMW RS 1250! Every word you stated was on point! I got the exact same bike in August 2023. Less than 5 minutes into the test ride I wanted the bike. I was completely surprised at how easy it is to ride and you do not feel the weight of the bike at all. This bike may be the best bike in this category and a top bike regardless of category. The weight is necessary for a sport touring bike that can go long distance or else you will get blown around on the freeway. Also, the bike is versatile because you can ride it around town easy and get it in and out of the garage. BTW I was wondering what parts you had on the cylinder, heads, I will check that out. BTW, is this a bike you would personally buy and purchase? Also, people criticize the look of the bike and that has been love it or hate it position that has created a lot of strong opinions about the bike.

    You can pick up used 1200rs for a great deal now. No fancy TFT, the from headlights are different, and no shiftcam but you can pick them up for less than 8k.

    As a owner of a k1200rs i wish they would bring back the brick, but this would be a appropriate replacement. The mid sized sport touring segment seems to be a forgotten group. Either you get a sport bike with bags or a "big girl" trying to dance.

    If you want to see a cluttered handlebar control pod, take a look at the left side controls on a Honda NT1100. Good luck using the NT1100 controls with winter gloves on.

    Sounds like my man needs a raise if TFL can't pay you enough to afford a $16k motorcycle.

      I make $100K a year and I would never pay $16K for a motorcycle. They are simply not worth it when there are less expensive alternatives.

      @kluthage421 These bikes are not $16k. They start there. As equipped in this video the bike is $20k+, plus TTL & destination. You are $23k OTD, more if you add side cases, $1600 from BMW.

    This is NOT a great choice for long-distance touring. I am 6"3 and 225 pounds and per Motorcycle Ergonomics, the knee angle on this motorcycle is 72 degrees, which is very tight. For tallish riders, the knee angle is the most reliable predictor of long-distance comfort. Moreover, this motorcycle does not provide much wind and weather protection, which also makes it less comfortable on long trips. I agree it's a great motorcycle, but not for long days in the saddle. Do a 650-mile day on this motorcycle and let us know what you think.

      I rode mine for a 5,000 mile round trip to the Arctic Circle, Norway, last year - it was terrific. Then again, I'm not 6ft3ins - I imagine that makes a difference. Compared to the GS the RS makes a lot of sense for riders who are not tall, in my view.

    • @JohnJay1745
      @JohnJay1745 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@RF-dg4ib - We agree. I tour on a BMW S 1000 R and have done 650-mile days. When I do so, however, the last 300 miles are a matter of managing the discomfort. Again, it's the tight knee angle that limits comfort. The RS is a great motorcycle IMO, but not a great long-distance motorcycle for tall folks. Enjoy!
