    The real reason for a four door jeep or bronco is a Ursa Minor pop up tent top that replaces the standard jeep hard top with a perfectly fitting built in Westfalia style tent with interior access from inside the vehicle to the bed or to stand up to change clothes. Not available in two door. The hybrid means you can run your HVAC system all night to camp comfortably in most weather conditions for overlanding in style. For less than a gallon of gas the ice engine will automatically come on for a few minutes to keep the battery charged like a Prius.

    This Jeep is a beast, as all other wrangler are! It's not confi, it's a beast! You want to do offroad, it's for you; you want to travel highway 50k miles a year, look somewhere else, it's not made for this. Get a Grand-Cheroke for the same price. And Sarah keep matching with the vehicle 🤣

  • @falcon_three_fifty

    I'm glad you don't talk shit in your reviews, Sarah. Some car reviewers are so painfully set in what they want for themselves that all they do is verbally shit on a car for not being what they think all cars should be in their mind.

    @motor-head ปีที่แล้ว +10

    I know how knowledgeable you are.
    I'm glad you pointed out the benefits of solid axles for off road use.
    Many people are simply clueless.
    Bottom line, if you are serious about capability there is no substitute.
    My Jeep flexes like a boneless hooker on steroids and it keeps all 4 tires planted where no other suspension type ever could.

    • @mpeugeot
      @mpeugeot ปีที่แล้ว

      Flexes like that on the highway too... Some call it death wobble, but others insist it's belly dancing.

    • @motor-head
      @motor-head ปีที่แล้ว

      Death wobble is different. Solid axle 5 link suspensions are prone to it but it is always worn components and misalignment (often due to lift kits that don't correct geometry). Properly built and set up jeeps don't wobble. Oh and yes, despite Sarah calling them 4 link, they are 5 link. 2 upper trailing arms, 2 lower trailing arms and a track bar.@@mpeugeot

    • @mpeugeot
      @mpeugeot ปีที่แล้ว

      @@motor-head absolutely related to bad setups and worn out parts, problem is that the parts wear out fairly quickly and leave you chasing components to eliminate it once it starts. I am willing to bet that my 2021 Bronco with 85,000 miles feels more solid at 85 mph than most Jeep Wranglers with 1/2 that mileage.
      I have owned Jeeps both with and without death wobble... Chasing down death wobble in a Jeep Wrangler is a pain in the ass, unless it is very obvious as what is the source of the wobble. The Wrangler is a better off-roader, but it comes with a price, and that's high speed off road and on road handling.

    • @motor-head
      @motor-head ปีที่แล้ว

      I absolutely agree. I enjoy driving my Jeep in the city at low speed, it's turning radius makes it the king of the tight parking lot. Get on the freeway and it can become a white knuckle ride pretty quickly. Once you hit the open desert (or wherever your off road playground is) then it feels like it's in it's natural element. No top, half doors, the ability to safely tackle the most difficult trails, there's no other production vehicle that comes close.@@mpeugeot

    The economics of increasingly complex vehicles, with higher initial purchase price, higher maintenance and repair costs, and higher utilisation of exotic materials for batteries and related components, ever more electronics, developed to make relatively small gains in efficiency, is interesting. I suspect that over time, efficiency gains don't outweigh the additional resources and cost. Maybe a trend towards simplicity and lightness to achieve economy will emerge. But I suspect not... Enjoyed the road test as usual.

    They'll still be a notch below the students who drive Land Rovers and the girl who had a late model Gelandewagen.

    Great review! You have to have these in 4 auto or 4 high to get the full beans. It will limit power otherwise initially.

    Great review, Sarah. You make car reviews fun to watch. It looks like you need some super glue to attach your little red hand to the stick? Keep up the great work.

    Bought a used one, 2021 4xe Rubicon, and now it's in the shop having to get the rear axle replaced on it because the rear locker light was flashing thinking it was locked in. UGH! I barely had it for a month and now this.

    Used to have an '89 XJ and bees/wasps would make homes in all the panel gaps... Guess some things don't change!!!
    Also, your windshield/june bug comment was excellent 😂
