You are amazing!!
Nat!💕 When are your resistance bands being restocked? 😁
You’re amazing!!
I appreciate that she shows that working out is not pretty. Her faces looked like she was in horrible pain. It makes me want to work harder.
Same.
i find her and people in general really pretty while working out because it shows their dedication and resilience. people who fake their expressions and get lazy just to look good aren't admirable to me 🙊
U wouldn't have commented this in a man's channel
@@randomina465 But I feel like it’s not so much a stereotype among men that they should look ‘pretty’, especially when working out, whereas I feel like more women are self conscious about that
I could totally do that. No problem at all.
I could totally yell out encouraging things every time the runner goes by.

Hahahahahha same
🤣🤣🤣🤣
She literally did 107 crunches and started talking about british summer. I've found my goal of endurance
Try a Texas Summer
The pain of a British summer is greater than 107 push-ups.
Getting that eleventh pullup (near the beginning of the competition) was one of the most committed attempts and follow-through displays that I've ever seen.
last pull-up was what it looks like to beat mental limits
@Luke yeet you do realize that women aren't as strong as men and those were proper pull ups not any cross fit stuff
@Luke yeet How is that a joke? That's a perfect score for female marines. How many women do you know who can even do 1?
@Luke yeet That is well above average for females. She has great form too. Actually, that is above average for many males...
@@MrJonne2000 its not that were not as strong, its because women are bottom heavy as men are top heavy which makes it easier for guys to be able to pull their body weight up.
Why is no one here appreciating Mario’s motivational comments? They really are THAT couple. 💗
elena srvr oh my gosh they’re honestly so cute
As a Marine I really appreciate those pullups. You even went above and beyond by getting your chin way over the bar almost to your collarbone. Congrats on doing something a lot of Marines can't even do well. Clean form on the crunches also. Nice job.
Fred Hall they have a choice to but they don’t get 10 points then only can get 60 MAX
There is no point in using the energy to bring yourself an extra 10 inches above the bar. As long as your chin clears youre good. If she didn't bring herself so high she probably could have maxed out at 13 maybe 14.
no_name wider grip, chin held high, easy 23 or whatever pull-ups
she cheated with that sip of water on the run... LOL ,
So ......... are you saying a lot of Marines cannot do pull-ups?
tell me why I got emotional when she completed the 11 pull ups
Cause you’re gay.
thank you
@@sabrinafasold4189 cause you're a woman, haha

I have problems with pull ups. did my first three pull ups. And now I am need help and clues  Do you have any tips?
@@lollol-lm9pp Just keep doing them. When I first walked into my recruiter's office, I did like 2. I just kept doing pullups whenever I had a minute to spare (all it takes is a minute to do a max set) and a few months later when I had to ship out to boot camp, I was doing 11. By the end of my three months at boot camp, I could easily do 20. There's no tricks to improving your pullups, run time, or crunches. Just keep doing them.

No crying, come on you're a marine. That's the type of hype man I need in my life.

Marine here. 11 SOLID pullups! Chin over the bar, fully extended arms. Well done! Thats no easy feat! My max was 17. I never got a perfect 20 for the mens test.

I watched this video 6 months ago and you motivated me to start running. I set a goal of running a full mile without stopping. Yesterday I ran 1.2 miles (according to my Apple Watch) without stopping. I’ll be 44 next week and that’s the first time since high school I ran without stopping. Thanks for the motivation!!!
Hey congratz! that's so good. I always love it when people push themselves past what people or what they expected of themselves. Push it up to 1.5 eh? haha. Just love it
I've never felt so much anxiety as when she was in the 90's with the crunches and had less than 30 seconds left
I finally understood what people who watch sports must be feeling when they're yelling at the tv
OK, that 11th pull-up made me sub! THAT IS SOUL! So impressed
Big thumbs up for PROPER, full range of motion pull-ups.
Indeed. Most people do 1/4 of a pull-up, and still count it :D

those pull-ups were AMAZING i love mario’s encouragement 😂❤️
thank you Eleni!! He's the best I feel so blessed ❤️xxxx
Wow the progress and determination on those pull-ups was amazing ! Deffo need to do a video on how you did that ! X
I'll mention it in my next video (: but resistance bands came in really handy to add resistance (to get stronger) or to assist (to help with endurance) xxxx
Btw, the first few ones were definitely more than a pull up, they were actually chest to bar so even more difficult and effort girl! You are STRONG wow!!!
I actually started to tear up even before she started crying...really felt that 11th pull up in my soul.
The best way to get better at pull-ups is to do more pull-ups. When I was in the Marines we had a Staff Sergeant that was a stickler for pull-ups on PFTs so we had to do a max set immediately followed by a max assisted set (someone holds your ankles behind you to help you get a few more) before we started the day, and we'd have to do it again after lunch. Within two months or so I went from 8 pull-ups to 17.
You can do Australian pull ups, negatives (jumping to chin over bar position and trying not to drop down instantly), use resistance bands or an assisted pull up machine, or friend to help assist, and overall just strengthening that area of muslces that you would be using for a pull up. Whether it’s resistance machines or free weights, all of those upper body exercises should play some sort of role in strengthening your pull ups. All upper body exercises are good, when done correctly, but some good ones are lat pulldowns and seated cable rows. Hope some of this helps.
aside from how impressive a physical feat this is, she did all of it with her lashes looking that good

I too was expecting clickbait. Was impressed.
@@BigUriel what i love about her is that she never clickbaits her workouts. She is just that hardcore.
Richo cheted congrats
What's wrong with crossfit pull-ups?
@@clxv They use the momentum by balancing the body back and forth (I think it's called butterfly pull ups or something like that). I don't think that's problematic in terms of getting higher intensity, but in terms of actual strength, straight push ups like she did is where it's at.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate Mario? He's so supportive, it's amazing.
Also it would be fun to know more about how you work on getting the perfect score!

Is this based on American military Pt? I’ve got a couple pat test’s that are gaining traction for leo cadets.
From an old Vietnam Marine ....you are a beautiful BEAST !!!!
better pullup form than 90% of these male fitness "influencers" on YT
Mario is legit the greatest hype man/boyfriend. Such a good dude!
She would have passed the men's tests as well! Not a perfect score, but she would have gotten:
Pull-ups: 60 (23 for 100)
Crunches: 97 (110 for 100)
Run: 83 (18:00 for 100)
Overall score: 240/300.
Wow!
Anne Lunde no way she ran that fast.
@@abnrangerjapo That's why I gave her an 83/100. She didn't run it in 18:00 which would have gotten her a score of 100, but her 20:39 got her a score of 83... Did you not watch the video?
Anne Lunde she didn’t run a 20:39. Her stride and pace doesn’t support her time. Her ‘timer’ stopped the clock to give her a few seconds on each lap. But overall, everything else was legit. But her run was fabricated 👌
@@abnrangerjapo What are you talking about lol that is an entirely reasonable pace for that time
Benjamin Commet 👍
As an active duty Marine I just want to say well done!! I have never ran a perfect PFT, usually hover around the 250's. For anyone trying to achieve a goal listen to what she says at 13:40. If you are committed and keep at it you can do anything you put your mind too. Semper Fidelis Natacha, God Bless.
Do females do pull ups now? They just hung over the bar when I was in. And the crunches was 100, not 105.
ISWITCHED - I believe they switched it from flexed arm hang to actual pull ups... I may be wrong
@@usmczippoguy7947 I just looked it up and couldn't find anything but the hang, but I did skim so who knows. source: www.military.com/military-fitness/marine-corps-fitness-requirements/usmc-pft-charts
Me either - I always wanted to but didn't quite get my run time down. 20/100/19:10 Stay safe

Highest PFT score I ever got was a 297. I came in at 18:10 on the run. I used to be a beast. Now I just eat like one.
Never too late to train again, maybe this time you'll even get a 300! Best of luck

@@abnrangerjapo i know this comment is 11 months old, and maybe you were trolling, but i rly don’t think her run was fabricated considering her past as a triathlete/iron man competitor - like it’s really not an unrealistic time for her and clearly the sit ups and pull ups weren’t fabricated so why would she have to fabricate the event she actually has a semi-professional past in lol
@@hannah_shortcake I’m not taking anything away from her past experiences. But her pace/stride is not a sub 7:00 minute mile. I will say she is probably doing a 7:28-7:35 pace. Easily sub 8. But no where near the time she posted. He occasionally stopped the clock while he was filming.
I've watched a lot of pullups on a lot fitness channels in addition to all the pullups I've seen in person: Yours are the best I've seen - full stretch dead hang, slow controlled eccentric and concentric contraction (no kipping or swinging), and full clearance (up to your collarbones even!) without any of that neck stretching to dip the chin over the bar!

Could you do a video on how you trained for these tests? Particularly pull ups and the running
If you aren't strong enough to do a pull up, try doing negative pull ups. Start at the top with the aid of a stool and let yourself down as slow as you can. Meg Squats has a recent tutorial on pull ups too if interested.
@@michelle.r.e it is still useful to get some tips from someone who already overcame an obstacle. You can hit the plateau with your stupid head for quite a while with in any type of physical activity.
For running, you generally want a mix of three things:
-steady "long" runs to build endurance
-high intensity workouts like intervals and fartleks to build strength and cardiovascular capability
-tempo and progressive runs to do both
But yeah, at the end of the day, number one thing is to run regularly.
-
Michelle Ellis theres efficient and inefficient ways to train and Natasha generally gives great tips on how to train (obviously she reached her goals in a set amount of time) so there’s no harm in asking for her to do a video on how she personally trained for it.
Michelle Ellis “get on the bar and just pull” is some shitty advice.
1. most women’s restricting factor is grip strength. increase grip strength (you can look up exercises online there are many)
2. next to increase lat strength do negative pull-ups (jump up or get someone to help you up and only do the negative portion of the pull-up very slowly ~5 seconds
3. once you can do 10 you can add weights for resistance
"im gonna give you all a big hug for supporting me"
Me: hugs the screen

US army ranger PT test in order to be able to start ranger school:
49 minimum pushups in 2 minutes (she already can do it)
59 minimum sit-ups in 2 minutes (she already can do it)
6 minimum pull-ups (she already can do it)
2 mile run @ or faster in boots (she already can do it)
5 mile run @ or faster in PT gear overland (she already can do it)
16-mile hike full 65lb ruck at port arms in 5 hours 20 minutes
15-meter swim in ACU with harness and belt (she already can do it)
obviously this stuff is a piece of cake for anyone who has any chance of making it through ranger school, much less serve in a ranger regiment, but it's their way of weeding anyone out who isn't minimally prepared on day 1. there is also a rigorous obstacle course with high climbing but she is probably physically capable of making through the day one testing to enter ranger school, which puts her in better shape than most guys and easily 90% of women in the US military.
To be accurate she would have to do over exaggerated push ups. Go down a little farther than the regulation.
That is true. Someone I know, one of the fittest and healthiest dude you'll see, tried for Rangers in my country, and while the initial PT test was a piece of cake for him, the School itself was total ass kicking, and ultimately it proved to be too much for him. It doesn't cut to be "just" in shape. You need a *LOT* of willpower and endurance, and you also better not have acrophobia or any motion discomfort. Because you're gonna do climbing. Lots of climbing.
