I don’t usually comment, but on this occasion I had to! YOU ARE ACTUALLY INCREDIBLE! I have run some of the route you ran when I was training for my half marathon. ur amazing.... The global average time for a marathon stands at around 4 hours 21 minutes - with men's average times at 4 hours 13 minutes, and women at 4 hours 42 minutes.
Honestly, this feat wasn't about endurance training. I enjoy running and have done been a lifelong runner and athlete; having run multiple marathons. For her to run an ultra without training specifically for it tells me she was able to do it out of sheer force of will. Pretty darn impressive.
I know its no where near what natacha just did. But after a real bad breakup I signed up for a 10km fun run. Zero experience in running and zero training and i smashed it. Was so proud of myself! Now training for a half maraton!
When I started running, I signed up for a half-marathon that was 3 months after I started. I didn't "train" for it, and I think the furthest I ran prior to the race was 13km. I ran the entire race (no walking/breaks) and ended up finishing it in under 2 hours and from that point on, I knew I could do anything I put my mind to.
Most people who do Ultramarathon: Super specific training for at least 6 month, equipment worth 1-2k, couple of friends doing crew work Natacha: Doesn't train, just holds phone in her hand the whole time, mario eats one of her sandwiches :-D
Can you do a recap on how you felt the day after and what kinds of things you are doing for recovery? My brother just ran a half marathon and his toes blistered so bad his toe nail came off
wow that's pretty serious. I think finding good shoes is really important to avoid that from happening, I'd already run the marathon 2 years in those shoes so I knew they'd be pretty good during this run also. Once the nail is off there's not much to do apart from letting it grow back and obviously keeping it clean to avoid infections. Definitely check out the NHS webpage or see a doctor if they're severe and need to be treated but often they just heal on their own (: well done to your brother!! All my love xxx
So as a lifelong runner, who has consumed a LARGE amount of electrolytic drinks, I made your maple syrup, lime and salt drink...it was REALLY good! Thanks Natacha!
Being a marathon runner I have never laughed out loud so much at someone’s running pain. This video was brilliant 😂I felt every bit of the emotion you went though. Love all your videos btw 💕😃👍🏻
I think you should talk a little bit more about injury in these types of videos. It is truly amazing how you complete all your challenges through just determination but this can also be a risk for people who are not athletes. As i am sure you are aware of. Taking on too much to fast because you are determined can cause injury if you do not have a strong enough body to support that kind of stress on the muscles and sceletal structure. You have such an amazing view on fitness and preventing injury is a very important part for any beginner. I am sure you know all this already but it would not hurt to talk a little bit about it. You are truly amazing and so inspiring, thank you for all the great content❤️
This inspired me so much, the day after I watched this instead of walking the mile to my work, I jogged it all. To put that into perspective, I haven't attempted that since 9 years ago in high school, and my best time in high school was about 14 or 15 minutes. I never could jog it from start to finish. I finished the mile in 11 minutes and managed to jog it the whole way. Coming from me, you can do it!
Natacha Océane ironically, I’m totally immobile right now, I fell last Friday and have damaged my coccyx. I’m really missing my gym but I need to heal (doc can’t even tell me if I’ve fractured or not as they don’t do any treatment on broken or bruised coccyx) . But ordinarily I love my hours at the gym.
THANK YOU!! I usually run for around 10 km (really slow though), but I wanted to challenge myself after watching this inspiring video, so without any other preparation, I signed up for the virtual Stockholm Marathon - and completed it (42,2 km)! It is really possible to do whatever you set your mind to.
Same!!! That was an excellent time for a 50k. I would LOVE a video about the after effects, because I was under trained for my first ultra and my gait was messed up for a while after.
This video has honestly inspired me so much. I've been stuck in quarantine and have had zero motivation to do much of anything. Your positivity is truly inspiring
fitness level and sweat glands. Women have less sweat glands. I'm a male and a bit overweight, i run about 5-6kms and get drenched in sweat like i had a swim.
@@georgiam.3957 wrong, men have more sweat glands and thats not genetics. Women have less sweat glands. I researched this about 2 days ago. Have a look online. Sweat is also consistent with body weight and fitness, heavier you are the more your body will heat up and exert sweat to cool you down.
@@pisstroopa3320 well I'm a fit person cause i train Muay Thai but i still do sweat like crazy ,yes we do have less sweat glands but it's also depending on genetics ,i study anatomy and i can assure you that
At the end of my marathon I remember thinking I was doing a sprint finish. My boyfriend laughed when I said "sprint" but relative to how sore I was it felt like I was flying XD
I did something similar, I was an experienced endurance athlete, then took several year off where i didn't go on any runs outside, then signed up for a 50K. My finishing time was almost identical. As long as you keep up the cardiovascular conditioning at the gym or by other means, the body remembers, the only struggle is managing the leg pain. Good on ya for doing this and sharing!

I can jog a mile but I can’t run one lol

“must be nice”
Why don’t you try putting in the work.
#goals
@@jesussalinas2770 not everyone is healthy enough to “put in the work”

A bit far fetched isn’t it 😂
you inspired me for lots of things. you are an incredible human being.
ahh that's amazing to hear Klaudia!! I'm so proud of you! All my love always xxxx
@@natachaoceane and we are proud of you! you are the sweetest! and well done!

Right!! Me too!!
“I want to show how powerful it can be when you believe you can actually do something.” 💯✊🏾🙌🏾🔥 Realest words EVER spoken sis.
you are seriously incredible! my husband is an ultra runner and the amount of perseverance and mental strength it takes is insane. I've never met you but I'm proud of you!
I don’t usually comment, but on this occasion I had to!
YOU ARE ACTUALLY INCREDIBLE!
I have run some of the route you ran when I was training for my half marathon. LET ME TELL YOU... those hills as you were running up towards Enfield town are NO JOKE! Lol you completely smashed this! You are such an amazing example of how powerful our words and mind can be! When we believe in ourselves we can achieve what we believed was unachievable!
Love your content! X
omg you know the roads I'm so glad you do Keishia they never look like much on camera 😂 I hope your half marathon went well 💪💪💪thank you so much for watching!! All my love xxx
ur amazing....
The global average time for a marathon stands at around 4 hours 21 minutes - with men's average times at 4 hours 13 minutes, and women at 4 hours 42 minutes.
YOU SHOULD DO TIPS ON BUILDING ENDURANCE FOR CHALLENGES LIKE THIS.
ALSO AN ABSOLUTE BEAST, MY QUEEN.
Omg yesss would love to see that!!
Honestly, this feat wasn't about endurance training. I enjoy running and have done been a lifelong runner and athlete; having run multiple marathons. For her to run an ultra without training specifically for it tells me she was able to do it out of sheer force of will. Pretty darn impressive.
lecruset lecruset well yeah, but she was an endurance athlete. I just want her tips and tricks for when she did her iron man.
Yesss
To build running endurance, you have to run for long periods that you aren’t used to. The more you run the better your endurance will be
I know its no where near what natacha just did. But after a real bad breakup I signed up for a 10km fun run. Zero experience in running and zero training and i smashed it. Was so proud of myself! Now training for a half maraton!
Ashlea Parry congrats! You right, you can be proud!
“I haven’t come this far to redo it.”
YESS I NEEDA LIVE BY THIS SO INSPIRING
Mario - "tbh this is a bit fast... I'm going back to the car" 😂😂😂
Most people who do Ultramarathon: Super specific training for at least 6 month, equipment worth 1-2k, couple of friends doing crew work
Natacha: Doesn't train, just holds phone in her hand the whole time, mario eats one of her sandwiches
:-D
Can I just say that this really proves the “you can do anything you set your mind to “ theory? Go off natacha!
always the power of the mind!! 😍😍😍
No, it doesn't. Natacha's extremely fit - if you or I tried this, we'd get injured.
@@andrewroberts8139 for real if i did this at my fitness my body would break down
"I'm in a lot of pain" "Let's keep going" I honestly love your determination so much!
"did you eat one of my sandwiches?" idk why but it's so funny HAHAHA despite the fatigue of running she still manages to sound so cute HOW
LOL She knows 1M people are watching her, so she wants to put a good impression. Plus, it is in her nature, to be good humored and funny.
O.O jesus christ
@@Nakigirl79 That is not normal. People run whole marathons without that happening. She need bigger or just different shoes.
What was the aftermath physically? Knees, blisters etc. You're a huge motivation btw!! Truly inspiring :)
So as a lifelong runner, who has consumed a LARGE amount of electrolytic drinks, I made your maple syrup, lime and salt drink...it was REALLY good! Thanks Natacha!
more about this, what proportions?!
Recipe???
@@alexapalladino1333 I just wagged it. I think I went with a half and half ratio between the maple syrup and the lime juice

Never trained running for 5years, ran a marathon timing of mine while doing a 50k. And I have been training for marathon for 5 years. Fml
Well, now you have a new goal to set for yourself. Beat her time!
Seems like your training isn't ideal.
Being a marathon runner I have never laughed out loud so much at someone’s running pain. This video was brilliant 😂I felt every bit of the emotion you went though. Love all your videos btw 💕😃👍🏻
thank you so much Sarah!! Ahh I have so much respect for you 🙌 thank you so much for watching!! All my love sweetie! xxx
Coming from me, you can do it!
cool
I wish I was this dedicated to running. I love the gym workouts, hate running alone.
you're good Julie ❤️ I think the most important thing is movement in any shape or form (: xxxx
I’m having an asthma attack reading the title
As an ultra runner, I don’t think I have ever clicked on anything faster 😂
haha thank you Sydney!! I have so much respect for you 🙌🙌🙌
How does it seem like she doesn’t even sweat at all? i could literally have a bath with all my sweat
Well sweat depends on genetics tho
fitness level and sweat glands. Women have less sweat glands. I'm a male and a bit overweight, i run about 5-6kms and get drenched in sweat like i had a swim.
@@pisstroopa3320 well as i said it all comes from genetics and not of your gender , cause I'm a woman and believe me i sweat a lot

Exactly the same on my 1st marathon 😂
I did something similar, I was an experienced endurance athlete, then took several year off where i didn't go on any runs outside, then signed up for a 50K. My finishing time was almost identical. As long as you keep up the cardiovascular conditioning at the gym or by other means, the body remembers, the only struggle is managing the leg pain. Good on ya for doing this and sharing!
this was SO fun to watch!! i literally lost it when mario pointed out how your feet weren't leaving the ground. but seriously girl. you did great!! you always inspire me to get up and achieve my goals no matter how far away they may seem. you're incredible. congrats on finishing the ultramarathon! was cheering for you the whole time haha. thank you for being who you are and doing what you do. best of luck with time travel (lmao) sending you love 💕

When I was 20, I decided to run an ultramarathon in slovakia mountains without almost non preparation. It was 55km/3800m. My parents didn't believe me that I can do it, but I done it. The feeling in the finish was absolutely worth the suffering. But now I would recommend to everybody rather to well prepare to race like this than risk an injury. But also huge respect to you Natacha! The time is really good and hope you didn't suffer so much the next day after the run! :D
