So I know this is no where near how much she ran, but I ran 6 miles a day after I watched this video. Idk why and idk how. My original plan was supposed to try to get two miles, after I passed that I decided to try 3, and I just kept going from there. I haven’t run in months, and the last time I ran I was struggling to finish 1 mile. I guess her message at the beginning really struck me, that you can do anything you put your mind to. Now, I’ve heard that a lot, but seeing it happen to her and then experiencing it for myself a day later was magical. I hate saying things are magical but I mean idk how else to describe it. Just a big thank you a much love to Natacha for inspiring me to try my hardest. ❤️

I saw this video, and I shit you not I went and ran a 5k. I didn’t stop at all and I didn’t even slow down. No gun pointed at me or anything. *Thank you* Natacha

Me too! I have been in and out of the national team in my sport multiple times before my injury and in my prime I could kick ass for hours, cycle at top speeds and swim at a nice pace for my conditioning work, but I’ve always hated running. Never could do more then 3 Kilometers even being as fit as I was! It’s nice that you’re trying to overcome that. Don’t beat yourself up to much if it doesn’t happen though, as someone in medicine and orthopaedics especially, I can tell you confidently that we humans are not runners, our bone structure is way to awkward for that. We are incredibly resilient walkers and would hunt down big mammals by tiring them out for hours or even days. So yeah, running is a nice skill to have, but it’s not really necessary or as good for you as people say. A lot of stress on the joints.

I think you should talk a little bit more about injury in these types of videos. It is truly amazing how you complete all your challenges through just determination but this can also be a risk for people who are not athletes. As i am sure you are aware of. Taking on too much to fast because you are determined can cause injury if you do not have a strong enough body to support that kind of stress on the muscles and sceletal structure. You have such an amazing view on fitness and preventing injury is a very important part for any beginner. I am sure you know all this already but it would not hurt to talk a little bit about it.

@@georgiam.3957 wrong, men have more sweat glands and thats not genetics. Women have less sweat glands. I researched this about 2 days ago. Have a look online. Sweat is also consistent with body weight and fitness, heavier you are the more your body will heat up and exert sweat to cool you down.

When I was 20, I decided to run an ultramarathon in slovakia mountains without almost non preparation. It was 55km/3800m. My parents didn't believe me that I can do it, but I done it. The feeling in the finish was absolutely worth the suffering. But now I would recommend to everybody rather to well prepare to race like this than risk an injury. But also huge respect to you Natacha! The time is really good and hope you didn't suffer so much the next day after the run! :D

Tomorrow I'll try running 20km, my maximum is 10km btw, I'll edit this comment afterwards to say how it went
Okay, yesterday I didn't do it because I watched the promised Neverland in one night and then I spent the day eating, but today I woke up early and went for it; the first 10km were surprisingly great but it got harder after that, at 13km I started to get tired but I was determined to to it. The thing is that I ran 10km for the first time a week ago and if I ran 20km I could injure myself, so I did 15km with out really stopping in about 1h40min (I know I'm not fast). Sometimes knowing when to stop is a victory. I feel great now.
I got a notification about this comment months later and now I've seen the likes and comments, thank you so much
