And comment which other fitness tests you’d like to see! I have some secret challenges in mind 🤫 but the FBI is next if you want it!! 👍

    Navy SEAL from 2002-06.
This is the first time I have witness a civilian male or female conduct the test properly. Clavicles is correct but you are right that this would make it easier.

@@clerpington_the_fifth actually she did the ten required in 35 seconds and the total time she was up on the bar is 1 minute 12 seconds. So on average it took her 6 seconds to do each pull up, which isn’t a whole lot of time. That’s including that time of her failed pull up, so it really is less. Maybe you can do them faster than that, and if so good for you, that’s fucking awesome, I wish I could do that, but regardless of your ability I won’t let you hate on someone for doing the best they could.

@NonyaBusiness! Abel's point is that the first mile she ran in 6:30. That's 6:30 pace for the first mile. As a runner, I agree with Abel. From video, that does not look like 6:30 pace. He should have had a camera on the time like he did with the swim, otherwise very easy to stop the clock and start again to get a passing time.

I was very impressed, and you're super inspirational to me. I'm in Navy ROTC right now and so I love working out but also have to maintain physical fitness. You inspire me to work my hardest and also mix it up and try different things. I love incorporating HIT now into my workouts. On the sit-ups, I believe the Seal standards would be the same as Big Navy's. Theirs is hands on collarbones with someone holding your feet (not arms wrapped around like the Marine Corps'). But honestly, the one you did was harder so props to you.

It is a relatively light swim. The thing that makes it difficult is the stroke and the time requirement. I along with a good number of others did a 3 mile swim at scout camp when I was around 14 or so. For reference 500 yards is a little under 0.3 miles. So the distance is pretty small for anyone in reasonable shape but the time and stroke requirement is what will get most people.

I know that I'm fueling my body, I know that it needs it and I'm happy to oblige. I used to try to hit 1200 calories a day, but I've realised that it is not sustainable (I like to eat and 1200 is not much at all imho) and discovered your video on metabolism and another one from another TH-cam about the same topic and realised that I may have been eating 1200 in vain since my body is a smart jewel and slowed the machine altogether to not starve. When Natacha was shaking while doing the pull-ups, I was shaking too. I don't know why. It's like I can feel her. This video "I took the us navy seals fitness test" is beautifully awesome.

It starts with one pushup. Before I enlisted I had never done a pushup. It didn't take long before I was maxing them (by female APFT standards) and a little more.

I would just like to say to you Natacha that I am so grateful to have stumbled across your video! I am a female joining the military (U.S. Air Force) and as I am preparing, it truly inspired me to see you push yourself with everything you have. It’s that energy I aspire to embody and emulate! You are an example to girls everywhere about what it means to challenge yourself positively and have so much fun doing it. With all the love in the world, thank you!

Warrior Expeditions is an amazing charity for veterans using wilderness therapy to help veterans “walk off the war.” Each year they sponsor veterans, many combat disabled, on thru hikes of various long distance trails, bike and kayaking excursions. They provide gear, volunteer supporters who house and feed the groups, spending allowance, and logistical support and counseling resources. Sean Gobin the founder is an American Marine veteran who is dedicated to helping other men and women who served to lead fulfilling lives. I met the group when I hiked the Appalachian trail in 2018 and I’ve kept in touch with many of the veteran hikers and folks who work for Warrior Expeditions and I have to say they would really deserve any small bit of donation they’re so awesome 😎
