Hes basically doing what the Swedish team was doing in the late 90s and early 2000s. Nice to see it happening again and this time we have a French with us to give the Chinese some competition. So it doesnt look as onesided as Basketball for example

The most talented and the second best. Ma Long is the goat in terms of wins and titles but doesn't have this crazy touch. With all the respect, Chinese are robots. Truls plays totally different and it's really all about creativity. FZD is both a robot and a muscle machine, so athletic. After more than 20 years of insane Chinese, dominance Europe is striking back, though it remains a challenge to beat several Chinese players in a row.

Swedish table tennis has been very disappointed for over 2 decades. Even though they reached the final this year, I still don't see they have the chance to beat or have a good fight with China like they were in 30-40 years ago. TBH, I like Lebrun brothers better this year and really think F Lebrun has a chance to become a top 3 players in the world very soon.

Truls introduced strokes and variations in his game that were missed since Waldner and the trend to play Hybrid rubbers with tacky topsheets gave rise to non-Chinese players since Tokio 2021 where Dima also played the final … as a table tennis player and fan I usually root for a player and not necessarily for my country. i think ittf should change rules, allow only 2 players of each country to participate in singles and 1 pair for doubles and 1 pair for mixed doubles.that way countries wont get advantage to defeat best players by chance or luck, battles of gods of each countries.then every country can have their share of victory.
right now if 1 player from 1 country loses due to mental stress or bad luck the other takes his place not allowing anybody else to win gold.or 3rd player eliminates some good player not allowing him to enter semifinals or finals.
