Fan is my hero after 2024 Paris. He really performed under pressure and has been very consistent for China. He really doesn't get praised enough for his accomplishments.

The Lebrun brothers because they are young and are already among the top players, but they need to have better control of their emotions. Wang Chuqin and Lin Shidong among the Chinese team are the next generation. They have already beaten Fan many times so it's already possible. But Fan is a player who is not scared of trailing and winning by catching up. And he has a good stress management.
Felix already is clutch in key moments and has a good stress management (saved 3 match points and won in bronze medal match against harimoto, for exemple). What he lacks is power far from the table right now. Especially in forehand. FZD abused this weak side in his match against him at the olympics and Felix had no answer. Alexis has power and has even beaten FZD once, but is more prone to stress (and his body has had many injuries).

To be fair, i think Fan has more pressure to his shoulder than Ma Long. The "three sword men" era was the most dominating era by the Chinese imo. And Fan need to bear all that expectation now when Ma Long is declining, Wang Chuqin is still unstable. He was always the last line of defense for Chinese pride for couple of years. With the injuries and all that pressure, i understand why he want to retire

But the play with various block is still efficient with player like Truls or like Ma Long did in his last win vs Wang Chuquin.

ML lost so much time on beating himself against Wang Hao and error in 2014 World Cup. I very like Ma Long offensive style. FZD is better copy of ZJK and ZJK is better copy of KLH in my opinion, ML style in my opinion is mix of KLH, LGL & Qiu Yike. I guess that ML had a chance to be minimum 5 times world cup winner (2 finals lost with 2 points margin and SF lost of almost won match gainst Vladi - in 2008 in SF against Boll there was so much differences, ML had no chances that day), 6-7 world championships winner and 3 times OG winner (in my eyes he was ready for London 2012, i understand much more not picking him for Paris 2024). If someone will be able to stole FZD some tittles i bet it will be Lin Shindong (the next 'post-KLH', upgraded version of FZD) - he have very health and cold head for winning big matches in my opinion, second one who will be able to stop him might be WCQ - after mental recovery and the third one Alexis Lebrun - if he will be strong enough mentally, from technical aspect he have almost everything.

China’s dominance seems weaker than when they had ma long zhangjike and xuxin. In mid 2010s, there were so many good sub players like fangbo yanan zhouyu. It is kinda weird Fan couldnt make 2016 olympic games. 2025wttc will be a good oppurtunity for non chinese players to achieve the title. However, I’m still sure Fanzhendong and Wangchuchin are strongest player in the world.
The dominance will be gone after Fan's retirement. Wang Chuqin hasn't win a single important title so far, it's not convincing at all as a "top player". What's even sadder is that there's no player better than him.
