FINALLLYYYYY
This was very interesting. I was doing 12.6 on my 93 tune and that was without launch control. Ive been wanting to go do a draggy run with my e85 tune one of these nights. ive jist been lazy 😭
Ya I was running mid 12s on my 07 Sti with intake/turboback and tune on 93. Had a best of 12.2@112 on race gas. These VB’s are really slow for their power
@@pharmztkohe’d be in the 11’s on pump gas with a good 60 foot.
I have done a 12.7 with just an intake and tune on my vb it’s all about how u let off the clutch.
@@pharmztko honestly, driver mod would get him a lot lower.
Those were some great runs that car is running strong and reliable!
Good runs, you can definitely get that 60 foot down and you’d probably have a high 11 second car
Oh snap looking forward to this one!
Hope you like it!
@@JoeyMontalto About to watch it now, got distracted earlier.
Really cool to see you pushing the VB! Great video 👍
thanks for watching!
Awesome
Thanks for watching!
Bro, you can definitely get that 60 down to a 1.7, can't wait for more track content
Great run! You can definitely get that 60 ft time down. STI trans should be able to handle it just fine. well done 👍
Great runs and videos Joey.
Thanks for watching!
Nice content!
Thanks for watching!
that is crazy i been wanting to try going to track and test it
Definitely need to come out. It was alot of fun!
@@JoeyMontalto how much hp and torque u makimg
Outfront motorsport is good option them have short block available
Where is the ethonal tune? There's plenty of fueling for it on the stock pumps.
Waiting on Cobbs flex fuel kit! Very soon!
Are u still running the O2 defouler has it been working?
Yes I have it installed and it's working flawlessly 👍🏻
So my intake only and E40 tune would walk you? Need a driver mod.
Is this in jacksonville nc?😊
Yep! It was a quick lil drive there
@@JoeyMontalto nice am in wilmington... as far as I've seen there's like 3 other vbs here
@@artemlobov4239im in Wilmington too! Yea I've seen a few around as well
Why have both windows down lol
What was your roll race top mph? And how long was the roll race for, 1/4mi? I am going myself to local streetcar takeover on Oct 4-5 so excited to see what my car puts out.
We were roll racing on the 1/4 mile track. I was going alittle over 110 mph
@@JoeyMontalto that confirms what i read which is that roll mph and 1/4mi drag mph are almost same .. somehow. Cant wait to see what i get. I am retuning on 26th, just hope engine keeps rods inside and head attached.
How much $ in mods to get 12.5?
All you need is an ETS turbo kit on pump gas or stock turbo fbo on e85.
All you need is an intake and exhaust and a 93 tune. I did a 13.1 ots tune only and a 12.7 with an intake and 93 tune and my 60 ft could’ve been better. Realistically u just need an intake and 93 protune if u get ur 60 ft perfectly
12.5@109
No offense I'm just trying to figure out why it's so slow. So a bunch of bolt ons including a turbo kit, STI trans swap, and you're just barely beating a stock Golf R? Jesus, are VBs that slow? Why does it seem like they make a ton of power but that power means nothing in terms of actual speed?
No offense taken from a VB owner here.. i am wondering same myself. STI trans does not help, its heaver and gearing is lower than OEM WRX tranny, but ETS turbo kit should have helped. I expected mid to high 11s from this setup as well, but what do i know, i have yet to hit the track myself. Kozmic hit 11.7 with less than 400whp so not sure whats going on here.
Nah not really I ran a 13.1 at 103 ots tune only and I also trapped 110 intake and 93 protune it’s all about how u drive/launch it
poor driving (maybe) and or tuning (made for dd not track use) most ppl don’t dump torque into their cars like they ‘can’ with this platform in efforts to not blow up the clutch. so in short it’s fast it’s just not torqy.
It’s also a pretty big turbo for the car, probably a safe tune for pump gas and head studs. On e85 and not holding back it would make a good amount of power. G30-900 probably could make 500+ hp
