This wasn't all the VB builds at boxerfest. Just the ones in the car show vendor area. Mine wasn't in there, however that's BC it was in the staff/volunteer parking area. 😉 😂
keep it stock looking, with stock looking wheels. Mod performance parts if you want. That is how you mod a Subie. If the model Subie in question has gold wheels stock, then gold wheels it is. That is how I look at it. If you use the car actively for racing (like hillclimb, or specific professional track events, then you can mod aero). If you don't do competitive racing (or you aren't building a specific spec race car) which 99.999% of owners don't do, then the only body kits allowed are stock body kits (that came on the model from factory), or at most a factory option (or factory replica) looking body kit (like a STI factory carbon fibre front lip or something). Beyond that no wacky body kits or stickers or anything. They look cheap. Instead a clean look, with clean paint (and ceramic coating) with engine mods, premium exhaust, functional suspension height, etc looks 100x better. Case in point /watch?v=l81EH1vZIGw&t=1271s US car 'mod scene' is beyond wack by this point. Look like clown cars.

I agree with you on body kits but I personally am leaving my motor stock as a rock and keeping my warranty. I’ve had modded cars and they aren’t the cheapest hobby. I put gold enkei ts10s on mine and had it ceramic coated. I like that traditional Subaru look. I throw my heavy ugly stock wheel on in the winter with snow tires.
