    Hey just wanted to let you know that the reason why it was limiting you at 20MPH is because you were holding down the throttle the whole time while pedaling. The throttle is limited to 20mph, but the moment you let go of the throttle, while pedaling, you'll feel the bike take off at a much higher speed. I've got mine to 35 MPH (this was me pedaling as hard as I could, combined with the level 5 pedal assist). Great video!

    • @TheInja
      @TheInja  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I don't recall pedalling for a top speed in this video

      @@TheInja I think he was letting you know since you said it doesn't go past 20mph like most factory bikes and that's only for the throttle mechanism. With Pedal Assist you can get up to 28mph per the description of the bike on Amazon.

    Bought one based on this video. I have also have a Yamaha Moro mountain e-bike. Two very different bikes at different price points. The Ranger definitely is faster with pedal assist at 28mph. The biggest complaint I have against it is a lack of gear range and it's not practical to think you will be happy riding it with no assist. I live in the country and ride in to work a few miles the Ranger will be a better choice for speed but it is not a competator for actual mountain biking (no suprise here). Overall I'm extremely happy with the purchase and am excited to put many more miles on it.

      @@TheInja hey I'm super curious, at around the 1500 to $2,000 price range what do you think the best bang for your buck electric bicycle would be? Assuming they have the essential stuff like removable batteries, etc. I would like it to be in a similar shape to this bike, I don't really like the low riding ones or the cruiser ones... I don't care if it has a fat tire or regular tire and I'm mainly going to use this on the road but occasionally on a trail. And like you mentioned towards the end of this video are there any around the price range that I mentioned that goes between 20 and 28 mph that you would recommend? And possibly foldable if there are any in this criteria that I listed at this price range

    NGL, that’s probably one of the most standard and classic looking electric bike out there with a very standard price tag. I heard mid-range electric bikes usually costs $1,000-$2,500 and that bike is really right in between $1,000 and $2,500.

    I do like the frame but not bring able to unlock the speed is something I would never buy. I need a right hand twist throttle and this has the twist shift on the right side so that is also a deal breaker. So far I like what you once called the best ebike you had ridden at the time and that is the Cyrusher. You were able to unlock that one and it has all of the features I like. Twist throttle, full suspension and hydraulic brakes.

    I just got mine on Monday based off all the great reviews, It's a beautiful bike. But right now I am not overly pleased with the customer service. The battery design with the attached cover sucks!! be careful with it, it's only held on with 2 small screws (one on each end) and a tiny plastic piece. Mine unfortunately came broken off, when I emailed support ( they are located in Hong Kong) they want me to mail the battery to a repair shop and wait for them to refurbish it/repair it!!!! Instead of just mailing me a new battery with a cover plate, and having me exchange this broken one. I haven't even had a chance to ride the darn bike so who knows if I'll run into other issues. What a pain in the ass, I shouldn't have to get a refurbished part for a brand new bike. So far my experience has not been fun!! Rant over lol ugh

    it goes 35 with just throttle, get yourself the off road conroller, add a second battery preferably 52v 20ah and a battery controller that depletes the batteries the same time. I hide his with the waterproof case velawave offers (can also be found on amazon by different "brand" thank me later this bike fucks. Add the tire shields to prevent flats im sure youve had flats already lol i also have the fender kit (must have) and a clam shell case which you could add a second battery there but ive decided to go with the screw on kit. make sure you enter advanced doptions password 1801 set amp to 30, tires 27.5 I also added some kickass pedals an xxl bike seat and a shaft with hyraulic suspension. it goes so fast i cant pedal it it goes faster then the ears can keep up with

You can go into the controller cut the white wire it will do around 31 miles an hour but it will knock out your speedometer. I would put a mid-drive and another battery on it it has the room for it. If you did that you would bring it to a new level IMO

    We purchased this Vivi 27.5” electric bike and a Tentaquil 26” electric bike for our 13 and 14 year olds. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ The Vivi was much easier to put together. With the Vivi, there was a video link to assist with assembly which made the process easier to follow (we did put the handlebars on upside down, but it was a quick and easy fix). With the Tentaquil, the assembly was not as simple to follow, but after we messaged the company for an assembly video, it was easier and they did respond quickly. The other major differences were that the Vivi has a grip throttle on the right handle (like a motorcycle) and the Tentaquil has a push throttle that you use your thumb to activate. The monitors were also different, so if you’re looking for something specific in terms of changing the bikes functions, pay attention to what the monitor offers. We were really impressed with the overall quality and functionality of both bikes, but if you’re looking for more power and an easier assembly, definitely go with the Vivi!

    Do you know of a mod or replacement part that will make the thumb throttle less responsive? We usually only use it to start before the pedal assist kicks in, can we buy a different throttle that is less sensitive/reactive? Or can we mod the circuit or modify the controller program? Thanks.

      @@PM-wc1lp I noticed the same, I did play with the wheel size, mine came set to 27.5 not sure where it should be set, I set it to the smallest I think 14 throttle only dropped to like 12 MPH, set the wheel size to max 31 and the speed increase about 3 MPH. I think the controller is the limiting factor to max speed

    I've watched a few other videos in which you mentioned you were 6'3, however manufacturer recommend height up to 6'2. How is the ride, I need it for someone who's the same height as you 6'3 and wanted to know if it's short and awkward. The last thing I want is for them to be hunched over too much if it's too small. Pretty sure I didn’t remove the limiter but you may want to up the amps to the max which I think is 22 so the bike has enough power to bring you there. My bike averages about 27 miles an hour I’m about 220 with all my stuff on

    Btw you can take of the limiter pretty easily. Also goes fast if you pedal even thoe it goes faster than you can. Just jave to trigger the sensor.

    watched a couple of your videos so far, and it seems like you need to prep more for your videos. Learn a bit about what you are reviewing before recording. Settings menu on this bike is a triple tap of the power button. I learned that in 5 minutes of owning the bike. Also not topped out at 20mph at all...? Without changing any settings, mine went 30 straight out of box. Seems like you were holding the throttle the entire time which limits to 20mph. Just pedal, you'll go 28-30 (also keep in mind that even pedaling you aren't putting any ANY effort at all. You aren't actually pedaling a bike. just kind of moving the pedals with your feet. there is absolutely ZERO resistance to the pedaling). These are things that you learn within minutes of messing with the bike. But I guess you are making a video before messing with these bikes whatsoever. which is fine I guess. But not really good for reviewing things. Usually people look up reviews for things to learn things they didn't know about them. (edit: just noticed you said you were riding it absolutely no pedaling ...why?)
