@@bizmyurt8582 Don't need the rest for this money. The Emira looks better, with the V6 it sounds better, it's lighter and cheaper too. If I want something more luxurious then I'll just get a H6 718. An AMG with a 4 cylinder at 100K is just not happening. 😂

Inaccurate comparison. It's a base model car, so it wouldn't be equal to any M car. A correct assessment is to pair it against a main rivial the 840i coupe which does in fact have a inline 6 standard.
$100k+ roadster with a 4-cylinder, 0-60 in the $30k ecoboost mustang territory, no AWD option, and long term horrible reliability due to the hybrid components.
Sounds like a vehicle made with the target audience being specifically Californian hair salon owners.
Tbh i think all the German brands have taken off with their interiors. Mercedes interiors look flashy but feel less sturdy and buttoned down

@@rishinarang9966 a CLE 53 will be around 85-90k not 60k which is treading on GT territory if they do make it 6cyl. they have to make a 4 to balance out the 8 for SECA ratings for it to be elligible to be sold. the non amg models that are 60k are very different from this.

That giant crooked interior center screen is awful. The MBUX is great but the giant fingerprint filled screen is bad. And this is coming from someone who’s had over 10 AMGand black series cars.
Why does the 4 cylinder have a better looking design?

@@PaulJackson157You cannot look at the GT43's front and say it's not sporty. It's literally AMG GT R front with that grill. The GT55 and GT63 looks more like the GT Black Series, which just doesn't work IMO. Look alright in the GT3 and GT2 track cars, but not on the road cars. It's like the BMW kidney grill on the G8x series. It's just too big to appeal to the chinese market.
Those poor engines are going to catch a cold with all that intake.

Mercedes interiors are the most stylized of the 3 big Germans but by FAR the flimsiest and cheapest feeling. They creak and then door panels push in even in this model sadly.
I own an S class Mercedes and everything is covered in real lether, real wood trims and real metal swtiches / buttons. I guess its all about what you are paying for your car, isnt it?
@@yanis_s500 I’ve had the coupe and it was great but try a C or an E. Try this. The center consoles creak and the door panels feel like they’re cardboard. But yes real leather real wood and look amazing even at the C class level. But get into a 3 series and there isn’t any creaking and they feel as solid as an S class coupe.

Since Fiat and Mazda had recently joined in converting the MX-5 ND in the 124 spider, do you think it would be interesting to see how the japanese car would look as an italian hot hatch (oh, a busso V6 sound)? The AMG GT with a four-cylinder engine reminds me of the Mustang GT with EcoBoost. Just nothing anyone needs. Give it a six-cylinder in the base line for fuck's sake. They have learned nothing from their C63 disaster.

Mercedes should've picked a darker color than yellow 💛 for their press GT43. The front, at certain angles, looks a "little" too much like the 3rd gen Ford Focus ST.
Believe it or not, i think this is the right way for Mercedes, they came out with a lesser sporty version of the amg gt, yet looks nice and cleaner at the same time.

I don't like how they made this thing BIGGER. The previous GT was already pretty big and wide, in part due to the strict front-mid-engined layout. They've scrapped it now and they still had to make it even bigger??
Should have been the M256 inline 6 with 450hp and RWD. That would have been a drivers car. I have a 53 myself and it sounds WORLDS better than the goofy 4 cyl making a trillion hp. Also suits a car like this more, I6's have always been made for higher end cars

5. the 4 cylinder swallows just as much as the 6/8 cylinder. Power costs energy no matter how it is generated. Efficiency is not better at maximum power, only when you're creeping along the roads.
if the pricing is good I don’t see a problem with it. It’s like the 718. But seeing how pricing is on the A45/C63 I bet this will be way to expensive justifying „just“ a 4 banger
Mercedes has been using a 2 liter 4 cylinder in German DTM racing for the past 3 years and their four cylinder is plenty fast

The car is beautiful but I have been a bit confused by mercedes decisions lately. The crazy thing is, they get rid of the S class coupe, E class coupe, and the C class coupe for the new CLE, which is a major downgrade from the E class coupe. now it appears they have downgraded the GT, at least in terms of design because from my perspective, the GT is now starting to resemble the previous E class and S class coupes. especially with the lack of the extremely long hood in the previous Version of the GT!

I agree that Mercedes has the best interiors of any German marque currently. This looks like a great car but for that much money, I would prefer a 6-cylinder engine with forced induction and/or hybrid drivetrain. It would be embarrassing for an owner to say there's a 2.0L 4-banger when asked what engine powers this car.
Btw..the iconic GT proportions are not comparable with the new ones. :)

Why do they keep doing this?? It never works and they know it by now. I mean the Jaguar F-Type tried it and even with it being a significantly less expensive car than this it didn’t work, then Mercedes tried it themselves with the SL43 and my local MB dealer says it’s the car he has possibly had the least interest in next the the new C63 4-cylinder 🤦🏻♂️

All of the germans have horrible interirors because they use a touchscreen. Climate control and volume should always be a physical knob. Same with headlights (Chevy Colorado, I'm looking at you....)
Volume knob are honestly useless when majority of newer cars have them on the steering wheel. This makes the knob ineffective when drivers have to reach beyond the wheel for audio.
I’ll be stuck upgrading to a ‘21 version of whatever Mercedes because of that and the party bus “ambient“ lighting on the recent models. And the iPad.

I do not care how much power or how sexy they attempt to make it appear, I refuse to personally own a 4-cylinder version of anything. They're gradually trying to wean us from V8s. It started with the V6, now it's a turbocharged 4-cylinder. These engines do not have the deep rumble because they simply do not have the displacement. They do not have a wide, flat torque curve (needs less gears, freight train pull) because they do not have the displacement.
omg mercedes give me a break and save the 4 cylinder engines for economy cars like a corolla…

Ridiculous! The GT55's MSRP is 16,000 dollars more than the 2021 AMG GT's and has 54hp less. A downgrade in every single way, yet they make it more expensive.

The 2008SL550,, only was 400hp,, v-8 and can do 150-170 mph depending on the driver,, it sucks that your doing 8 to 6 to 4?,, down sizing ,,, kinda cheap s the brand, I hated the 6 cylinder came to the USA in the sl550 ti SL 450,, that sad. Only good for people who can’t afford the Gt55

Mercedes isn’t the best out of the German executive brands….both in terms of quality and design. It goes, BMW, Mercedes….and then Audi. Unbelievable how far Audi have fallen in this regard.

They just made a car absolutely no one would even consider, let alone buy. If it were to cost like 50-60k, then It's a good value. But "estimated to be over 100k" just sounds insulting. Keep in mind it will be slower than a C43, and that C43 Costs 60-70k.

BMW has a better interior sorry and I’m not even trying to say this as a bummer boy but when the interior doesn’t squeak when you push it and feels less sturdy, you don’t get to be top of the German quality. Idk about Porsche but quality should be in feel, look and design.
