Both are gorgeous but if I had to pick one, it has to be the Vantage. That design looks better every single time I see it. I didn't care about it at first but the spec I have seen some people come up with. Honestly, I think it's one of the best looking cars in the past decade maybe even.
I built a beautiful one on their site. Dark green with bronze livery, wheels and calipers. Dark green and bitter chocolate leather with the dark green carbon fiber inside. Looks amazing!
I love how Aston Martin had a full configurator for it the day it was launched, meanwhile the AMG was announced like 3 months ago & you still can’t do a build & price in North America
Mercedes website utterly sucks! So many of the newer vehicles can't be configured yet. Some that are even on the lots! Plus, the interface is horrible. They need a full redesign of the site.
Glad I’m not the only one who has been thinking the same thing… It’s wild that not even the CLE coupe is on its configurator! Even BMW had the new X2 and 5 series on the their configurator within a couple of days of their announcement (even if configuring the new 5 series burns my eyes)
Not a big deal, a serious buyer goes to the dealership and badaboom done in a minute. Configurator is a nice to have, makes no impact on buying decision.
You can go on other countries' website, although you won't get accurate pricing and some, if not most, options won't be available or will already be on the car.
While both cars look amazing, the choice isn't even close. The Aston Martin has more road presence in looks and by name. When someone says Aston Martin it's almost as if a monocle arrives. 🧐

I live in south Florida and I see the AMG GT everywhere in every color including Solar-beam yellow, yes they are all outstanding looking. I rarely see any Vantages or any model by Aston driving around with the frequency I see AMG’s. As long as the reliability is similar, you should absolutely go with Aston. Secondhand resell market confirms this choice when it comes time for resell. If you reside in a winter snow climate maybe you should consider the awd AMG option.
I would prefer the Aston in this example although I like the Mercedes just as much and I own a Mercedes. And it’s just because of the branding that’s all. The Aston is the best design of any car on the road now. None of the Ferraris look as good.

And don't get me started on the disco-ball, screen-disaster, interior of the Mercedes - yeesh!
The Aston is amazing looking and design wise, I agree with you both exterior and interior are better, but a GT is supposed to be good for road trips. With only 12 cubic ft of storage in the back, and no rear seat, you won't be taking more than a couple of overnight bags in the Vantage. Even the new DB12 boot is about the same size, but at least it's got back seats you could throw some bags into. The AMG GT has 25 cubic ft of storage and the back seats fold down. So I'd rather have the AMG just because you could actually take luggage on a trip.

I have a problem paying over $200k for a car from a manufacturer who produces others models that are a quarter of the price. Very few people will look twice at the Mercedes. This factor alone makes the Aston Martin more desirable. Put this to one side and look at it purely from the point of view of which car looks better and the Aston Martin still wins. The front of the Mercedes suffers from the drooping snout appearance that the previous Aston suffered from and the haunches look much more athletic on the Aston.

To have the Aston in a similar spec baring in mind the Aston does not have ceramic brakes as standard the cost of the Aston would be ££226k.
I would pick the Aston. 3 years ago I would’ve picked the Merc due to the bad infotainment built into the Vantage. With the new huge and kinda ugly screens in the Mercedes it is just too much.
Shame that Mercedes did not do something better to the engine since the AMG GTR restyling. It is a shame that AMG is letting a brand like Aston Martin show how to actually do an engine that has power and fun factor. Why the anemic 585 hp? Why?????
Funny I like the previous AMG GT better than the new one, especially the interior 🤦♂, but I do like the new Vantage over the last one, it's headlights. Great question though imo, they're both beautiful cars and I'd be happy with either but if I had to choose I'd go with the Aston. One of my favorite designs of all time is the One 77, and you can tell the new Vantage is from that branch 😙🤌
Jeez dude, am I not seeing something in the Aston? It doesn't look anywhere near as sexy and elegant as the Mercedes. It just looks more put together, classy and sexy. I am not saying this as a fanboy, but truly from the bottom of the heart, within a heartbeat I take the Benz.
It's funny how you slap a tablet on the dashboard and suddenly everyone loose their mind LOL. The gauge cluster look cheap, rectangular tablet, why? It's important to pay attention to details, everything that is proximity to the driver/owner must feel premium when you cross the 200k threshold, and slapping tablets here and there just doesn't cut it.
Design wise I pick the Aston Martin.

Shame that Mercedes did not do something better to the engine since the AMG GTR restyling. It is a shame that AMG is letting a brand like Aston Martin show how to actually do an engine that has power and fun factor. Why the anemic 585 hp? Why?????
i think that there is not an old school gt coupé........COUPÉ SHAPES ANS LINES ARE TIMELESS.
Front radar placement on the Vantage ruined the front end. Why can't they move it up a little bit to not disturb the line of the grille?
Easy decision in this case..the looks of the vantage and status that comes with it..for not much more money
Both cars look very very nice, If I´d pick one, it would be the MB... As soon as I get it, I´d switch that horrid rear diffuser
I'd go Aston . And u still get a bit of AMG same time, as the engine is Merc.. bit of both.. why not.
Design, performance, and quality. Aston takes the win
You gonna check out the new Chrysler concept?
😂😂😂😂 why .low budget junk.
The new Vantage is a Obvious entry level GT which look like more superior than BBA’s and Porsche’s super Car though❤
