      Both are gorgeous but if I had to pick one, it has to be the Vantage. That design looks better every single time I see it. I didn't care about it at first but the spec I have seen some people come up with. Honestly, I think it's one of the best looking cars in the past decade maybe even.

      Not a big deal, a serious buyer goes to the dealership and badaboom done in a minute.

    Probably the easiest choice ever...Vantage all day. Without question the most beautiful car in this segment (911, AMG GT, R8, etc.), and just more "special" than the AMG GT. It's even better looking than the Roma and POSSIBLY the DB12 (I'd have to ponder that one, though)

    Aston knocked it out of the park with the styling. They always do. But I would never buy one new. They depreciate so fast unless its a super limited model. I almost bought a V12 Vantage S with a manual gearbox. I just love the timeless Henrik Fisker design. Its just elegant, yet sporty. Ultimately, I went with the Gen 1 R8 V10 instead but would love to add a Vantage to my stable at some point!

    I live in south Florida and I see the AMG GT everywhere in every color including Solar-beam yellow, yes they are all outstanding looking. I rarely see any Vantages or any model by Aston driving around with the frequency I see AMG’s. As long as the reliability is similar, you should absolutely go with Aston. Secondhand resell market confirms this choice when it comes time for resell. If you reside in a winter snow climate maybe you should consider the awd AMG option.

  • @fredsalfa

    I would prefer the Aston in this example although I like the Mercedes just as much and I own a Mercedes. And it’s just because of the branding that’s all. Aston is just something a little bit special where as the Mercedes brand is known for exotic cars yes but also little hatchbacks and trucks or in other words they are everywhere. Where as an Aston is only known for one thing being a thoroubred sports car

      Same here. I have an AMG S63 Cab which is an amazing car: S-Class quiet and smooth when things are mellow, but a beast when you wake up that motor. Love it, but I would have the Aston for its design if I could get away with that politically in my family (can't explain further on the internet). The Aston is the best design of any car on the road now. None of the Ferraris look as good.

    "looking at the side view..." Aston Martin - no contest. Why? Because my eyes are connected to my brain. The Aston is significantly purer and more cohesive in its overall proportions and - just as importantly - in its details! This is the best Aston yet, in my opinion - and one that won't age like the pretty but less resolved, and much less pure in it's detailing, Mercedes. And don't get me started on the disco-ball, screen-disaster, interior of the Mercedes - yeesh!

    The Aston is amazing looking and design wise, I agree with you both exterior and interior are better, but a GT is supposed to be good for road trips. With only 12 cubic ft of storage in the back, and no rear seat, you won't be taking more than a couple of overnight bags in the Vantage. Even the new DB12 boot is about the same size, but at least it's got back seats you could throw some bags into. The AMG GT has 25 cubic ft of storage and the back seats fold down. So I'd rather have the AMG just because you could actually take luggage on a trip.

      @MiguelCedenoLozano 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@eatonleo He never mentioned the actual wheelbases, but here's the data:
      Wheelbase(W) | Length(L)
      2024 AMG GT (Coupe):
      W = 106.3" | L = 186.1"
      2025 Aston Martin Vantage:

      2024 Aston Martin DB12:

    Has to be the aston. Both amazing cars, both have great features, good looking, and will ultimately make you happy. But knowing you have an aston, when people ask what you drive, and even a 95 year old woman knows the power of that badge. The interior finish. I personally own a 2014 aston martin vanquish. it's amazing. With my personal plates, it genuinely looks brand new. I went for skyfall silver because bond. Had it 12 months, and I still struggle to walk into any shop without turning around for another quick glance before i go inside. I can only imagine how amazing driving a brand new aston would feel. These cars definitely attract 25-80 year old men, btw. Every time you go for fuel, you will have to answer questions and show someone the interior. All part of the fun.

      My personal spec would be this: 0982KBCNB3
      With a little bronze twist in it: 4JTBJ51NMW (this one would work in nearly any color, just change the stitching to something similar to the paint, for example Magnetic Silver with light Argento or titanium grey stitching)
      This would be as classic as it gets: ZU7WUXXEPW
      I’m guessing most will spec like this or similar: A9TWEZQ4PR (could also change to Seychelles blue which is more elegant, as well as pretty much any other color. But here as well, change the stitching and the carbon then!)
      I hope I could help you. Please let me know what you think!! It would be a dream coming true to see my own specs of such dream cars coming into reality

    I prefer the distinct, yet comparatively subtle, design of the Mercedes. The lines all work together in a way that won't potentially look gimmicky in 20 years.
    I can just imagine an AMG GT Black version. 🤤
    Honestly though, I don't the need to tribalize one over the other. The Aston is growing on me each time I see it. The grill still looks BIG. The past 10 years feels as if we're prisons experiencing Stockholm Syndrom with this unfortunate industry trend. I also don't care much for the duck tail. More specifically, the lockstep taillight treatment. The tandem seem out of place with the rest of the long bending lines? Maybe just too present, and if toned back and made a touch curvier, it would be more cohesive? IDK. Still, it's a stunner.

    There many similarities between the two. Thats strange if they work together on the design.

      because the design at those performance stats speaks for following the funktion. that’s why they are so close to each other. every design decision made is also backed up in the wind turbine testing facilities to get the best percent out of it. that’s why cars look a lot like the same, even in lower price points.

    I have a problem paying over $200k for a car from a manufacturer who produces others models that are a quarter of the price. Very few people will look twice at the Mercedes. This factor alone makes the Aston Martin more desirable. Put this to one side and look at it purely from the point of view of which car looks better and the Aston Martin still wins. The front of the Mercedes suffers from the drooping snout appearance that the previous Aston suffered from and the haunches look much more athletic on the Aston.

    I am just about to take delivery in April of the Mercedes AMG GT. The cost is £176k. Having looked at the Aston this week, and comparing the spec like for like. To have the Aston in a similar spec baring in mind the Aston does not have ceramic brakes as standard the cost of the Aston would be ££226k.

    I would pick the Aston. 3 years ago I would’ve picked the Merc due to the bad infotainment built into the Vantage. With the new huge and kinda ugly screens in the Mercedes it is just too much.

    Shame that Mercedes did not do something better to the engine since the AMG GTR restyling. It is a shame that AMG is letting a brand like Aston Martin show how to actually do an engine that has power and fun factor. Why the anemic 585 hp? Why?????

    Front radar placement on the Vantage ruined the front end. Why can't they move it up a little bit to not disturb the line of the grille?

    Funny I like the previous AMG GT better than the new one, especially the interior 🤦‍♂, but I do like the new Vantage over the last one, it's headlights. Great question though imo, they're both beautiful cars and I'd be happy with either but if I had to choose I'd go with the Aston. One of my favorite designs of all time is the One 77, and you can tell the new Vantage is from that branch 😙🤌

    Jeez dude, am I not seeing something in the Aston? It doesn't look anywhere near as sexy and elegant as the Mercedes. It just looks more put together, classy and sexy. I am not saying this as a fanboy, but truly from the bottom of the heart, within a heartbeat I take the Benz.

    It's funny how you slap a tablet on the dashboard and suddenly everyone loose their mind LOL. The gauge cluster look cheap, rectangular tablet, why? It's important to pay attention to details, everything that is proximity to the driver/owner must feel premium when you cross the 200k threshold, and slapping tablets here and there just doesn't cut it.
