Man, those controls look really busy. I tend to agree with your assessment of this car, but there are some positives: 1. Great exterior color 2. Expressive interior color 3. Not an SUV
its very simple.. you have an 63 and a 55 with a v8.. this 43 is pure for the european market where gas prices and taxes on big engines are way to high
@@tonygwilson5634are you serious? So they shouldn't make the car? Or ship it to the US? Why people in the US love spending 80$ for gas every 3rd day? Ignorant Americans lmao😂 0:14 .
It is puzzling to me why they did not put the electrified inline 6 engine that's been around for light years one of the best engines on the planet the car is too heavy for that 4cl period
Thanks for the balanced review! I blame Tesla for loss of chunky tactile controls operable by muscle memory, now metastatic across the industry. Mercedes should know better on top control, climate, and volume knob. A good switch or knob inspires confidence and bonds you to the car. A screen…is modal and gets smudges.
@@jackmarston2515 FWIW I’m on my second Tesla, not just some ICE loving boomer scared of progress. IMO screens increase cognitive load plus knobs and switches are better and always faster. You can have your opinions based on Elon worship or whatever, but it’s not going to change anyone’s mind who has waited for a laggy ass screen to change modes and do basic stuff like seat heat and sound adjustments.
I ownly picked up my LC last year so I wont be looking to change for a year or 2. Going by your video quality of the Merc may be a concern@@GTGarageTalk
You must have extraordinarily low IQ then. This car is meant for people who prefer miles per gallon over 0-60. I know confusing to the typical ignorant car culture. 😂.
Garbage for that price longevity maybe 5years then problems begin I would go for the Lexus LC 500Limited-Edition Inspiration Series only 125 units built plus starting price $112,000 to $125,000 no brainer built to last also resale 🤙🏾
You've obviously never owned a new mercedes with no miles on it lmao. I keep mine until the new models comes out and I have never had issues. But then again I don't buy used shit. 😂
Plainly put if youre confused you need to stop making videos of cars. This car is meant for SL fans who want a quick car full of tech with much better gas mileage than the 55 or 63. Its literally that simple. But its unfortunately true. After many years of combating that narrative? I cant deny thst americans are unforgivably ignorant.

Yes But we are not in Europe !

Exactly. Also applies for people in the US who don't have fragile egos and would prefer gas mileage over "go fast".
It is puzzling to me why they did not put the electrified inline 6 engine that's been around for light years one of the best engines on the planet the car is too heavy for that 4cl period
I am puzzled by that as well. This engine just was not up to the task.
@@GTGarageTalkto the task of what? How many miles per gallon did you get? Thats the point of the 43.
This is NOT a Hybrid system! It is an electrical turbo build into the engine that gets powered by a 48V system!
From MBUSA.com:
“Handcrafted 2.0L Inline-4 turbo with hybrid assist Engine”

Cause screen protector and ceramic coating doesn’t exist 😂
Oh stop it dude. You people would have us in the stone age if innovators actually took you people seriously.

Dont buy this Car. A lot of Problems with Elektrik and gears. If you will have a bad day buy an sl 43.
Not for me and my 63.
Just found this video, this is probably the ownly car I’d consider replacing my lc with
Don't do it. Loved the LC more... though I have not sampled the SL 55 or SL 63 with the V8 which I do love.

Guy doesn't even own the car and won't spend any real time with it. Not exactly qualified to make a call in quality and reliability lol.
Sure is pretty tho. Great review😊
This type of vehicle is confusing to anyone marrying their cousin.
🤔

How the mighty have fallen! No heart or soul anymore.
It was a sad experience. I want to sample the V8
@@GTGarageTalk May as well wait for the new GT55 or 63, both cheaper V8s than an SL63 😔
Fallen from what? The cars less expensive to operate and maintain than the 55 and 63. What is so confusing?
@@jackmarston2515 with all due respect you may not have driven AMGs of yesteryear. Have you seen the sales figures of the new C63?
