    One of the first easy access showers I've ever seen at any of these 55+ community homes. I wonder why there are not more of them. Also, ramps are scarce. Do disabled folks just not live in these communities?

    • @dennisjager3287
      @dennisjager3287  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree, most disabled people have to adapt the home to their needs. I think the homes they are currently building are more disabled friendly besides having to pass new rules set by the ADA.

      I live in S. Texas and I need a shower curtain. Cannot have a glass shower door. It's a fire hazard regulation in case I fall in the shower. The curtain is required. That shower is great otherwise.

    Why is there no backdoor on the unit? How would you egress if there was a fire? No one enjoys a backyard deck or they are not allowed?...thank you.

      Many homes have a patio or deck on the back however this one does not. I think they view the door out to the sunroom as an exit door.

    I've seen HOA fees in Florida double and triple recently. What's the deal with lot rent? How often does it og up and by how much? We're new to looking at prefabs and retired so ssort of afraid of lot rents.

      Tanglewood can only increase up to 3.9 % per year.
      Many are tied to the consumer price index. Some parks are not regulated.

    Is the homeowner responsible for those perfectly manicured bushes?

    • @dennisjager3287
      @dennisjager3287  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, Lawn care is the responsibility of the homeowner but, there are 6 companies that take care of that in Tanglewood and it’s pretty reasonable. I pay $50 a month and they come every week.

      @@dennisjager3287 -- For $970 a month lot rent everything should be included including lawn care. That's just ridiculous to have to pay $970 a month then turn around and have to pay for lawn care.

    • @sewforlife586
      @sewforlife586 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jamesbass9797 But if you pay cash for the home, then the $970 is all you pay for everything minus lawn care plus your around people your age and they have a pool and lots of other amenities. A 2bed apt will cost double that and u have no outdoor space or privacy and your living in a box and paying all your utilities and u cant do anything. I think its a fare price. I am 62 and these places are sounding really good to me. $50 a month for lawn care sounds pretty. I like to do some gardening but not grass cutting and so forth. Hubby hates lawn care. This property is really nice.

      @@sewforlife586 -- By all means if you think it's a good deal then buy it. After you do then all you have to worry about is your insurance company canceling your policy or some corporation buying up the park you live in and giving you less than 30 days to move out of the park. Trailer and all. This is the sort of crap you have to live with in Florida. Remember that.

      @@jamesbass9797 Well I like being close to the ocean but I like being in the countryside more. Say the UK countryside. If we moved anywhere it would be there.
