I have flown Singapore Airlines for about 30 years now and I am yet to have a disappointing flight from SIA in any class of service. Quite simply the best airline I have ever flown. I’d pick them any day over others. Close second is Cathay Pacific.

My first ever flight was with Singapore Airlines and they set the bar way too high that even after many years,it’s still the best flight I have ever taken ☺️
If the route I wanna go permits choosing SQ, I do it. They just have it down. And the crews are usually just phenomenal. They manage to provide a high level of service with genuine kindness which never feels artificial. And you really feel that all of them take pride in the company they work for, rightfully so. This airline and their home hub Changi are hands down my favorites.
Wish I could say the same speaking from the point of view as a Singaporean. They went through the drill of polite service but that's it -- transactional. I switched to Qatar subsequently and they are phenomenal with their attention to detail, QSuites and Rosé from Billecarte Salmon. Even the bottled water comes from credible brands like Vittel or Evian unlike SQ's generically branded 'Drinking Water'.
Glad you loved the Singapore Airlines experience! I'm Singaporean so I'm really proud that you loved the whole experience. The next time you're in Singapore hope to get some drinks with you and as always another great review!
I remember I had a flight where the ceiling was waaay too high up. The snozzels where so high up no one on the flight could reach them and it was boiling in the plane
Singapore airlines is deservedly one of the best airlines around - one of the few flights you want to last even longer to fully enjoy the facilities and service.
As a Singaporean and always proud of our airline...I am so happy you are impressed and like you I think we should not even bother about scoot...it's a shame to the parent company. It maybe low cost but it is one of the worst major low cost carriers...enjoy again more on our nation's pride ...SQ!
What I like about josh is that he is so honest and gives you the good AND the bad opinions. Some trip reports are soooo positive it's difficult to choose when booking a trip. Good job Josh!

KLM also operate the 787-10. SQ has a very valid reputation as one of the leading airlines in the world. As a former travel agent I found them one of the best airlines to deal with. Their business class product looks fantastic and hope to fly it one day

NH have 2 of 3. EY have 6 of 30. BR, 1 of 18. KE have 20 on order Air Lease Corporation 1 of 25 (VN fleet are from Air Lease Corporation), GECAS 4 on order and 12 unknown customers. 32 of 189 delivered. May have changed (slightly) recently. SV will be operating the type too.
You forgot to show us the Toilet! May I suggest you do a video where you explain the top 4 Airlines (in order 1= Best) for Business Class and then also the top 4 for Economy Class.
My last flight on SQ was 13 years ago, on the same flight you did here. Next week, I'm doing the SEA-SIN inaugural flight on the A350 in Premium Economy. I already have a list of 20 movies to watch. :) At the end of the trip, from BKK back to Singapore, I am on Scoot and keeping my expectations very very low.

(at this point) along with Singapore & United, ANA, Saudia, Etihad, and EVA Air operate the 787-10, though British Airways, Air NZ, Korean Air, Ruili Airlines (according to wikipedia because I had never heard of this last one) also have some on order.
I've flown all types of business class with sq and I fly with them every week last year (not this year though) and my least favorites are the 787 and a330 I was really disappointed with my experience on both of the types . And also your reviews are honest and I agree with your reviews

The business class seat can be converted to a flat bed with mattress. You should have asked the flight attendant for assistance. Did you get the business class complimentary amenities kit? It’s inside one the compartments.
Oh, I can so relate to what you've said about both Singapore Airlines and Scoot. Recently my wife and I were booked on Singapore Airlines Premium Economy from Sydney-Singapore-Zurich and Frankfurt-Singapore-Sydney on the return flight. We'd flown with SQ Economy a few times and had been extremely happy with the flights so we were looking forward to trying the Premium Economy. When we arrived at Sydney for our flight to Singapore, we were told that there had been a change in planes and we would be travelling in Economy, not the Premium Economy we had booked and looking forward to. When I said this was't acceptable, we were offered 'business class' on a Scoot chartered Singapore Airlines plane. I was assured that we would receive full 'business class' service and quality but, having never flown Scoot before, I wasn't really sure what to expect. When we boarded the Scoot plane, it became apparent that this was not Business Class as we knew it from a few short haul Singapore Airlines Business Class flights we had done from Sydney to Bali. It was an old plane. The cabin was dirty. Even though the seats were wider and did recline flat, they were so old that the padding had lost its cushioning and it was hard. The IFE screen was small and dim. There were no noise cancelling headphones, only Economy earphones. We were not offered a drink and alcoholic drinks were not available. The food was sub Singapore Airlines Economy quality and this was the only time we were offered tea or coffee. The pillow, like the seat, had seen better days and the blanket was thin and worn. If we had been travelling our pre-booked Premium Economy Class we would have been on a new plane, had comfortable seats, enjoyed large clear IFE screens, used noise cancelling headphones, been provided an oversized fluffy pillow and warm blanket, eaten 'Book The Cook' meals we had ordered before our holiday, had access to any type of beverage at any time and been spoilt by attentive friendly cabin crew. We received none of these on the Scoot flight. We couldn't wait to get to Singapore. Fortunately, all the other flights were the Singapore Airlines Premium Economy Class we had booked and the difference between them and the unfortunate Scoot was huge. I sent a complaint email to Singapore Airlines telling them what had happened and letting them know an upgrade to Business Class on one of our remaining flight would be a fair compensation for us, through no fault of ours, missing out on our Premium Economy Class experience. This didn't happen. Singapore Airlines felt they did us a favour offering us seats in the sub standard Scoot Business Class. Had I known how bad that was going to be, I would have declined the Scoot offer and travelled Singapore Airlines Economy which was vastly superior to Scoot Business. Instead, we were offered 10,000 miles or a $200 shopping voucher. When it was clear we would not be getting an upgrade, we took the vouchers. Singapore Airlines is a great airline when everything runs smoothly but don't expect the same empathy or understanding when something goes wrong.
Nice review. I recently flew the SQ 787 BNE-SIN and return in business class on points and made sure I'm flying the same product on my next trip. Excellent product as you show. Next time ask for a Singapore sling when your drinks order is taken. It's even better than their glasses of red.

I have flow with Singapore Airline multiple times in economy class and as much as I can tell you, In my opinion it’s the best airline at really good price. Everything is simply perfect. I’ll always fly with this airline I guess.
Hi Josh. Just completed a trip. Perth to London Singapore Airlines 787 then old layout A380. Return new layout A380 then A350. I flew economy but all in purchased extra leg room seats (i'm 190 cm tall) Will say new layout on A380 is an improvement. I would say yes overall Singapore airlines was Ok . Food a bit of a let down perhaps from all the rave reviews I was expecting too much. Also side trip on BA London City Airport to Tegal Berlin A319 and a Ryan air flight Brno to Stanstead London. The Ryan air flight was not bad at all, more legroom than Air Asia X A320. Yea now traveled via all London airports. Keep up the great reviews Josh!
An egg? Oh, pun! You do crack me up sometimes, or should I say scramble? As you said, time flies when you're having a good flight! Perhaps do the KLM 5th right between Singapore and Bali, cheap business class but great product show!
I flew BKK-SIN in business class with SQ in 2017, but it was on an older regional 777-200. Service and food were excellent, but the layout was 2-2-2 and the seats were not lie-flat. I would definitely fly SQ again since they are the gold standard in airline quality. PS: The "i" is silent in Suvarnabhumi .

Hey Josh, ANA is the biggest operator of the Dreamliner and it goes without saying that they too have the 787-10. 787-10 operators also include: KLM Etihad EVA Vietnam (Love their livery too) I guess that's pretty much it apart from ANA, United and Singapore.

You finally took the airline which I fly very frequently. I love these new seats and ease of using the table. A350-900 has a slightly different configuration in terms of the table. Glad you love them as I do. I sleep like a baby on SQ21/22 to EWR or SQ31/32 to SFO or SQ37/38 to LAX. I am 1.87m and these seats are very comfortable for me. The FÃ are as you said honest and genuine just like my experience on NZ flights. You should try them on long haul flights. Enjoy Singapore hospitality. Would be interesting if you can compare your experience on QR1373 from DOH to WYD with SQ. Sawadee Ka
My wife and I always use Singapore Air (economy) on our annual trip to Manila to stay with her family. We have in the past used many alternatives but never bother looking elsewhere now (for the last six years). BA used to be good but standards have slipped and you never know when their staff are going to target the customers with strike action. PAL have a good product but too expensive. Cathay and Thai both good but Singapore beats them hands down on customer service.

Fyi, BNE only gets SQ's A359's at 4xdaily. One long-haul and other three are regional setup like this 787-10. So would've been same seat though.

Hi Josh. Just completed a trip. Perth to London Singapore Airlines 787 then old layout A380. Return new layout A380 then A350. I flew economy but all in purchased extra leg room seats (i'm 190 cm tall)
Will say new layout on A380 is an improvement. I would say yes overall Singapore airlines was Ok . Food a bit of a let down perhaps from all the rave reviews I was expecting too much. Also side trip on BA London City Airport to Tegal Berlin A319 and a Ryan air flight Brno to Stanstead London. The Ryan air flight was not bad at all, more legroom than Air Asia X A320. Yea now traveled via all London airports. Keep up the great reviews Josh!
ANA also fly the 787-10! 😍🤩 I flew them between Narita and BKK and back.

I flew BKK-SIN in business class with SQ in 2017, but it was on an older regional 777-200. Service and food were excellent, but the layout was 2-2-2 and the seats were not lie-flat. I would definitely fly SQ again since they are the gold standard in airline quality.

You finally took the airline which I fly very frequently. I love these new seats and ease of using the table. A350-900 has a slightly different configuration in terms of the table. Glad you love them as I do. I sleep like a baby on SQ21/22 to EWR or SQ31/32 to SFO or SQ37/38 to LAX. I am 1.87m and these seats are very comfortable for me. The FÃ are as you said honest and genuine just like my experience on NZ flights. You should try them on long haul flights. Enjoy Singapore hospitality. Would be interesting if you can compare your experience on QR1373 from DOH to WYD with SQ. Sawadee Ka

My wife and I always use Singapore Air (economy) on our annual trip to Manila to stay with her family. We have in the past used many alternatives but never bother looking elsewhere now (for the last six years). BA used to be good but standards have slipped and you never know when their staff are going to target the customers with strike action. PAL have a good product but too expensive. Cathay and Thai both good but Singapore beats them hands down on customer service.

Those overhead air vents (snozzles) are optional equipment on the 777 so I'm guessing the same applies to the 787.
