That is the regional Business Class for short and middle range flights, it is awesome, in Europe you just get Economy seats in business class on these trips with and empty middle seat. In the US you get a recliner seat and that's it. SIA offers a fully flat bed with aisle access, clearly the best regional business class in the world.
Flew Business Class (A350) on SIN-EWR 18 hour flight. It was amazing. Not just the incredible seat, but the service too! Singapore Airlines is my favorite.
I recently flew from Melbourne to Tokyo and return in business. Interestingly the Melb - Singapore leg features the long haul business class seats which are much bigger. The Singapore to Haneda leg was these smaller seats. I didn't mind them, but agree they are a little claustrophobic. The crew and service were top level
My first ever business class flight was exactly on these seats on a SQ a350. I was an international student going to Sydney and used my savings to upgrade for 500$ USD on the first leg of the flight 😂 people might bash me for it, but as an avgeek I couldn’t help myself but experience it cuz I’ve been watching about aviation and all the luxuries with it since the age of 5. Money well spent for me and definitely motivated me to make a living to fly business/first regularly. 😅 But awesome video man. I love your videos so much and I’m surprised you have so little subscribers compared to the quality of the content you deliver. Definitely can see you blow up in the future ❤ keep it up.
The best SQ business seat is on the A380. The 777/350 longhaul seat version is wonderfully wide but you have to lie at an angle to get your feet into the door cubby, and the bed is really hard. The regional seat you flew is awful. The reader is also used to pay for on board duty free I think. Food and service always great. Love your work. Funny and a bit weird.
Love your work mate! The 787 Regional Seat definitely isn't their best, and the T2 lounge is awful, luckily the crew and food always makes up for it! Ive flown all their seats and the 787 is definitely the bottom! Keep up the good work!
This is their regional-medium haul hard product. Flew it from Dubai to Singapore. Their long haul seat is by far better but for a regional product, it's still amazing. Turkish airlines uses the same seat on their long haul flights. The differentiator on SQ is always the crew. By far the best.
I like your videos man. I just flew their 777-300 business class and I think you would have liked the seat there better. No seat is perfect, but I loved it and highly rec to everyone now.
You pretty much nailed my thoughts on Singapore Airlines. Phenomenal staff, service, food and drink. Lounges can be hit and miss and the hard product is a bit of a let down. Still a world class airline.
Those lounges in T2 are new, just bad, old doesn't mean bad just like new isn't always good. You just ended up in the wrong lounge !!! But anywyay, SQ lounges aren't great... Bellini is amazing.
Smart move to move yourself to T3 in Changi to enjoy a better lounge. T2 has a lot of memories for me as I've frequented flying SIA growing up, but I never visited their lounge ever as the things you can do in the main terminal back then were are plenty!
Im a new fan. Ur reviews are funny genuine and real. I like seeing that u don’t mind giving a few jabs while still acknowledging the positives. Keep it up!
Always been a class act for me since the late 1980s Econ executive economy raffles business and First. Inaugural flights on the A380 being the most fun. You kids have a lot to catch up on!
Great look at the SQ B787-10 experience. The seat is definitely the weak point. You`re not alone in having never flown SQ previously. To this day SQ is somehow one airline I`ve not yet experienced either despite having flown with more than thirty airlines.
Im pretty sure the “credit card payment reader” is actually just the NFC tag, you can tap your phone from the app and upload your playlist or reconnect to where you were up to in a movie or show from a previous flight. But also, love the video and all the others 😊
I love your reviews, Simon. So down to earth and interesting. Not pretentious at all and great content!! When does your Emirates review drop and what’s the route/equipment? Looking forward to that! And I’m on SQ soon too!
why do i feel like i am always at the exact place you are but a week earlier or later singapore kuala lumpur bali more singapore(SELETARRR) Hong kong and LA
Could you please make a video breaking down how you leverage credit cards to gain points, benefits and access to lounges? that would be so insightful. currently trying to get my head into this game but I've experienced several migranes thus far.
Another great review, Simon! SQ biz is definitely not the best, there may be some premium materials here and there but it really depends on luck to meet crews that truly put passengers in their heart. In my experience the Taiwanese China Airlines has the best crew and industry-leading cabin product.
Singapore airline business class is great the only problem o had encounter is that when you turn your seat into bed the foothold area is too small making sleeping very hard
you can buy duty-free things on flights (bottles, of alc., jewelry, make-up, etc.) so I reckon that's what the card reader is there for ;P just a guess though since I've never flown business on Singapore airlines
Hey man great video. Interestingly, The 787-10 was a recent deployment (when I say recent, I mean March 2023) for the SIN-CMB route. Prior to this it was operated by the A350 for a couple of years. If you’re interested, you could check out the comprehensive economy class review that I did for this same sector, available on my channel. Funnily, just about every SQ aircraft has operated to CMB at some point (except the A388 of course) As always, keep em coming big man!
Hey mate what points earning card do you use, t3 is where most of the Singapore flights leave from. At least with book the cook you always get your choice
Rome to Singapore business class is well below par - I took a flight from FCO to Singapore last year. Hard seat-beds, no sleep at all, food was just so-so. Would not take their business class offering again & in fact, am about to book Qatar for this year's long haul flight.
Do yourself a favour and join Kris's flyer, especially the joints' accumulation of Virgin points as well Changi is huge and a bit more of preplanning and research would have helped you a lot. Also Scoot miles redemptions interchange etc is a winner with SIA . never had aproblem with their food . Although in cattle class EVA air beats them hands down 7 out ten for this one only because of your lac of situational awareness . PMSL at the goods lift (been there done that myself) spot on abot 73 lounges I always go for th elonger time between flight connection in changi and always enjoyable
24 times we’ve flown business class from london to Singapore there the best airline in the world we wouldn’t travel with anyone else…..we’re off to Singapore at Christmas with once again Singapore airlines ❤
The crew are really just so wonderful. You actually sometimes wonder how they do it ( by which I mean they must sack a whole load off staff who aren’t always delivering 10/10 every time). I did read once that if/when a female employee goes on maternity leave, they can only return if they fit into the uniform they wore prior …. I’m glad shit rules like that are illegal in Australia, and elsewhere.
One thing: Please blur other passengers faces in both the lounges and onboard. Inside the terminal is fine. This is vlogging etiquette 101 and a matter of Singaporean law. Singpore Airlines is covered by Singaporean law. Images are considered personal data under Singapore's PDPA, which also has a fairly thorough section about properly obtaining consent and making it clear individuals need to be able to withdraw consent at any point. By not bluring their images, you infringe upon their rights under Singaporean law. Private Lounges and planes are not Public spaces. I would hate for you to be arrested on a trip via Singapore. Be safe, be careful and cover your arse.
I flew EVA on a 777 last year from LAX to BKK business class for about $7k. I was NOT impressed with the bed. Claustrophobic, just like this video describes for SA. And I did fly SA premium economy to Japan several years ago. Good service, no question. But cramped. Let's face it, unless you have a full bed like on Qatar, nothing else will do... Flying in a hollow aluminum tube in the sky with a couple hundred passengers putting out BTU and cramped quarters is not fun no matter what. Especially for a flight that drags on for > 14 hours ☹,
Singapore Airlines have really messed up their Regional Business Class Vs Long Haul Business Class - for the same route, they can operate both types.... Furthermore, longer distances dont always mean Long Haul. FLights with the Long Haul business class features premium economy. Good Video!
A big weakness of Changi airport is the lounges which I find aren't that great regardless of airline. Contrast that with LAX, arguably the nicest airport in the world when it comes to lounges and you've got quality lounges galore, from the Qantas First class lounge, arguably the nicest domestic lounge in the US to the Star Alliance lounge, Delta Sky Clubs, Centurion lounges, etc. Yeah there's a bit of a walk going between terminals, but you know what? At least you don't have to clear security at the gate! Oh and LAX doesn't discriminate against international versus domestic flights the way most airport in the world do.
Malaysia Airlines used to have a safety video with sign language! Back in the 2000s I think. I always found SQ food presentation is a bit messy and less refined that QR.
The carpet is to absorb the noise so the airport is very quiet and peaceful.
it's a terrible trade off.
@@adeafningsilence have you been to Changi?

I love the casuality of those videos. This channel is underated. Turkish Airlines has the exact same seats on their 787s and 350s.
Yes and it's utterly hated there too and no other airline on the planet bothered to install those crap seats
The seats are on the regional services. Their international services have a much better seat.
That is the regional Business Class for short and middle range flights, it is awesome, in Europe you just get Economy seats in business class on these trips with and empty middle seat. Haha I mean your intro is very straight forward and good unlike some other “tacky” ones 😆
