Josh, I love your honesty in the reviews and you remind me when I was younger, with the same enthusiasm and anticipation prior to boarding an aircraft. I flew on the A310 with Delta Airlines from JFK-SFO and I enjoyed the flight. I am an expatriate living in Indonesia for the past 20 years and used to fly a lot in my younger years but now settled in beautiful Indonesia for almost 20 years am not able to travel as much. By watching your videos it brings back old memories and completely feel and understand your passion. I am almost 60 years old and by watching your videos with such honest comments it's so enjoyable to watch, that it makes me feel younger again. When I fly nowadays, I still have that passion inside also riding trains. Josh keep up with your excellent reviews and stay safe Buddy.

In a country like Afghanistan, I'm sure there is a natural hesitancy to someone just filming everything. It's nice they warmed up to you and started trust you. And hey, one of them even knew about your all-women video. I'm not judging, but if some guy in Afghanistan knows about it, your fame is far and wide. Good work.

A310 is a legendary airplane. It's engines are so strong that it can carry another A310 . Between 1999-2010 i was TRC by TK and gave service for this airplane many times. Also flown by my self. During takeoff you will feel the strentgh of the engine, but on landing you will even not aware when you touchdown. My far best favorite airplane of all time. We sold them to Cyprus Turkish Airlines , MNG Cargo and to Ariana.. I will miss this legend so so much

What nostalgia... CSA Czech airlines had A310s till early 2000s, however the nostalgia is that my dad was a Flight Engineer (MS) on the A300B4 since the mid 70s the the B747-300 from the mid 90s... The A300 (and its smaller sibling) has a very special place in my heart and even though truly an older generation plane, it is surptisingly comfortable and quiet....

Thanks again for a great, well researched video. The Airbus A310 brought me great memories when I first flew this aircraft way back in 1988 with Singapore Airlines, 1992 with CSA (Czech Airlines, this time on a short flight between Singapore and Bangkok, when fifth-freedom flights were common back then) and with Delta Air Lines and Emirates in 1996. You can also say that this aircraft can also be considered an icon as it was a pacesetter of ETOPS (Extended Twin Engine Operations) along with the Boeing 767. Truly an aircraft ahead of its time, and very versatile to operate. it is indeed very refreshing to include bits of history on this aircraft on some of your videos. Fantastic work, Sir Josh :-)

The Royal Canadian Air Force still operates 5 of the Airbus A310, designated CC-150 Polaris. One is configured for VIP transport, 2 for general cargo & passenger airlift service and 2 are configured for aerial re-fueling. They originally flew with Canadian airline WardAir, and were purchased by the RCAF when WardAir was bought out by Canadian Airlines. The A310s took over from the Boeing 707s that were previously used in the role, and the process is in the initial stages for replacing the A310s.

This brought back memories. I flew an Air Transat A-310 to Rome from Montreal in 2011. I remember even in the Exit Row was cramped and the lack of personal entertainment on a 7.5 hour flight made for a very dry experience. I used to fly Business Class on Czech Air A310's from JFK or EWR to PRG, the seat was very uncomfortable for being Business Class, but the worst thing they allowed smokers in the early 1990's, I used them because it was an easier/convenient way to get to Bratislava, Slovakia. It is a big shame that Czech Air is bankrupt and owes 200,000 plus customers money paid for cancelled flights, looks like they operate 3 airplanes today, I remember the days when they had like 50+ aircraft or more and 5,500 employees! They have just celebrated 20 years with Skyteam.

My first flight weas back in 2000 with a A310. From Bremen (EDDW) To Palma de Mallorca (LEPA). Becuase of the short Runway in Bremen -about 2000m- it was a full thrust takeoff. At this moment, i was "infected" with flying. About a Week later the plane Crashed in Vienna (Hapag-Lloyd-Flight 3378)

I actually got to fly an A310 into Afghanistan as well... Though it was owned/operated by the Luftwaffe. I still have the Luftwaffe boarding pass, hand written, showing CGN->TMJ->MZR. Probably one of the more unique flights I've ever taken.

Josh Cahill love your style and be proud! Yes, me an old school avgeek. Only once flew aboard Airbus A310-221 on Swissair SR January 1986 at the time the aircraft was just over 2 years old between LHR-ZRH. Just as you reported cabin is very quiet throughout the flight as I also noted as well at the time 35 years ago. Swissair provided great service and lavatories aboard were clean and fragrant with blue juice flushing toilets! Transferred at ZRH to fly to Kai Tak, Hong Kong on Swissair DC-10-30ER... multi stop milk run flights with quality Swissair SR service, sadly now long gone.
Keep up with your busy work presentations and keep safe.
    Ansett 727.

This video helps know the retro comments of travel. As a 13 year old seeing this plane reminds that before I was born aviation was still stunning like now. Thank you for always giving a unbiased review on such aircrafts like the A310.
    Great job as always!

I flew on one of these in 1997 from Bucharest to Bangkok via Dubai on Tarom. The stop in Dubai was totally unexpected and most passengers didn't even know about it. I was sitting on the left by the window and everything looked exactly the same. Your video really reminds me of that trip.

Afghanistan is a nation that's been absolutely crapped on by the rest if the world and there's just some lovely people there.
I love our local Afghan cafe.

Love the excitement, joy & experience. My first flight was on a China Airlines Boeing 727 back during late 1960s. It was my most memorable experience - boarding from the rear stair under the massive engines.
